Show me evidence of Noah and of the flood.
I assume what you are asking for is scientific evidence going back to the time of Noah when Noah was alive here on the earth. This would involve evidence like archeology and that would require a time and a place. Just WHEN and WHERE did Noah's flood take place.

Noah was a real live historical person. The date of Noah's flood was between the end of October and the beginning of November in 2370 BCE according to Bishop Ussher. The question is what flooded. According to Bible Hub the word is bā·’ā·reṣ with 155 Occurrences. So YOU have to wake up and smell the coffee. What does bā·’ā·reṣ mean and just exactly what was flooded. Genesis 5:11 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence." "13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

Right now the evidence from Google earth satellite photos indicated that the the area of Noah's flood is under the Persian Gulf. This is based on Genesis 2:10 "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads." After the river left the garden of eden it parted into four rivers. So if you want to find the Garden of Eden and the location for Noah's flood you have to study the remains of ancient rivers. We do this using the cameras on space satellites developed for use by the military. This is new technology and this gives us new information that past generations did not have available for them to use when trying to understand the story of Noah & what we read about Noah in our Bible. Could be someone in the military right now using space photos of the Persian gulf to make a determination of exactly what flooded and where the Garden of Eden was.

Lost Civilization May Have Existed Beneath the Persian Gulf

What other evidence do we have? Lets think about what exactly was ON Noah's ARK. Again you want scientific evidence so we have to go to the experts on Botany, or the ancient plants in the Middle East. The experts have PhD's on the evolution of plants. Mostly they publish in peer review articles. Sometimes they put a collection of articles into a book. They are professors and teach at the universities in Jerusalem. This is what we call experts. I have actually done a far amount of study on this if anyone wants to have a conversation about it.

I ONLY want to make ONE comment right now. IF you put the plant seeds on the ark the plant is no longer a wild plant is is now domesticated. Wild plants require the wind or natural elements to distribute their seeds. Cultivated plants requires man to be a part of the equation. Everything on Noah's Ark was domesticated nothing was wild. All the plants and all of the animals from the Garden of Eden was on Noah's Ark. Evolutionary theory tells us a LOT about the Garden of Eden. Evolutionary theory knows a lot about Bio Diverse Eco Systems. From beginning to end. This is why science uses the words: "Adam", "Eve" & "Eden" a lot. We know exactly who Adam and Eve in the Bible were because we have their genealogies in the Bible. Abraham, Noah, Moses, David and Jesus were all descended from the Adam and Eve we read about in our Bible. We know Adam and Eve in the Bible that lived 6,000 years ago were Hebrew or Jewish or whatever the correct term is. God gave the descendants of Abraham the entire Arab Continental Plate. This area 1500 miles by 1500 miles in the future will be the New Jerusalem. Abraham's covenant with God is perpetual from age to age and from generation to generation. This is a big fight among the descendants of Abraham for the land and the mineral rights to the land and the air space above their land. This is a fight between the son of Abraham's wife Sarah and the son from Sarah's handmaiden the Egyptian Hagar. Gentiles are adopted into the family of God (Abraham) We are not natural descendants of Abraham. We are wild branches grafted into a domesticated tree because the natural branches did not produce fruit and they were thrown into the fire.

Genesis 2 "8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."

I could go on and on about all of this. Lots of books could be written to show evidence for Noah and Noah's flood. This is just a post: pixels on a computer screen. So I am limited on just how much evidence I can give you one post.

"Show me evidence of Noah and of the flood"

A global flood would have global consquences.
Had it been less that a global flood Noah would have been told to leave the area, travel to the distant mountains etc.
But he was told to build a structure some 400 feet long, for a local flood!

Evidence for the flood, thousands of feet of sedimentary rock laid ove 100's of square miles.
Bent or folded rock, how do you bend rock with out cracking it or heating and changeing the rock.
Polystrate. tree fossils. How does a tree remain undecaed for the millions of years it is suppose totake to bury it vertically through several strater?

This just isn't so. Sorry.
Do you have a Phd in Botany? Are you an expert on the domestication of wild plants in the Middle East? Are you an expert on the Plants that we read about in our Bible. I would be glad to have a thread on this subject and we could talk about the various books written on the subject.

You already know that wouldn't help. So , no, but thanks anyway.
Until Yahweh removes the veil, there are not enough books on earth that can open anyone's mind to understand Scripture (Yahweh's Word).

Plastic deformation of lithified strata is well understood by geologists and can be demonstrated in the lab.

Why should it always take millions of years?

The evidence does not indicate a global flood. In fact the scientific evidence is abundant that Noah's flood is what WE would call a local flood. From a scientific view Noah's flood involved the Biodiverse Ecosystem that we find in the Middle East. IF you're a high school graduate then you are required to know about this in order to get a high school degree. At least in my state. Maybe they do not test the students in your state.

I have a high school Biology book here if you want to do a study. Unit two is on "Ecology". The chapters are: 1) The Biosphere, 2) Ecosystems and communities, 3) Populations 4) Humans in the Biosphere.

Noah's flood was not the Biosphere it was an Ecosystem. We read about the plants from the MIddle East Eco System in our Bible. Science can tell us about the domestication of the plants in the Middle East. All of what Science tells us is consistent with what we read in our Bible.

The problem we have is with old interpretations or understanding of the Bible based on old, obsolete outdated science. Jesus warns us about the traditions of man. Science makes discoveries and those discoveries help us to have a better understanding of our Bible. Each and every generation gets to discover the Bible for themselves and their generation.

The evidence does not indicate a global flood.
Apparently you believe this, for whatever reason, even though it is entirely false.
Perhaps consider how the whole world is deceived,
as God clearly says.

According to Gerald Schroeder MIT and Harvard libraries have hundreds of thousands of book. None of those books contradict the Bible. All of the books show us how accurate and true the Bible is.

Where in the account of Noah does it state seeds were put on the ark?
If you are including plants and/or seeds as "every living thing", the you are taking "every living thing" out of context of what the Lord was referring to.

Genesis 7

15So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life. 16Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him.

Impossible for a seed or plant to go into the ark on "their/it's" own accord.

Seeds - How many seeds were distributed over the earth by way of the biblical global flood (a natural element)? Seeds today are broadcasted over the earth by many ways, water (a natural element) being one of them.

Lithifcation refers to the process of becoming rock as well as a discription.
Solid rock does not bend no matter how slowly it is bent. one side is being compacted, while the other is streched and this side cracks.
There is no evidence of these cracks in folded rock.

Millions of years? Because slow and gradual is the formular that explains how the earth was shapped, there was no global floods according to the geological societies, insitutes etc.

Jesus warns us about the traditions of man.

So why are you quoting mens traditions?
The bible talks about and discripes a global flood.

To interpret the bible, one reads what it says and applies what it says. One does not come with a previous idea and read that into the bible.

What about the dove that Noah sent out after he could see the tops of the mountains exposed? The first time, she came back to the ark finding no place to rest the soles of her feet. The second time, she returned with an olive leaf in her mouth. The third time Noah sent her out, she never returned...

Yes, Noah had to save an entire eco system. We read about this Eco System in our Bible. We also read about Eco Systems in our High School Biology book. So evolutionary science gives us a lot of evidence to show that the Story of Noah in the Bible is consistent with what we read about in our Biology Book in High School.

Also Noah's ark is a Paradigm. A Paradigm would require very exact and precise measurements. A Paradigm is different from a metaphor because a metaphor is not literal or exact. For example a metaphor would not have an exact point in time and an exact location. Also Science talks about Paradigm shifts. Right now evolutionary theory is going through a Paradigm shift. (Cahn just wrote a best selling book on Paradigms and this can help us to understand the paradigm of Noah and His Ark.)

We are not talking about the interpretation so much as the translation. Different translations give us different interpretations. I use the parallel Bible so I can read all of the translations to help with interpretation. Also I study the original language. I use what is online to use although I have had better resources in the past.

No he saved a select part of the ecosystem and the fact that he had to save an ecosystem tells you that it was not a local, but a global flood.

If it had been local he would like Lot, have walked to the mountains and servived. Then he and the animals and plants etc could recolonise the flooded area.

Great and surprise surprise they all read that Noah was involved in a global flood.
The idea of a local flood is an idea you are reading into the bible.
