Verse 1 'by the will of God' stands out to me,
Paul had been a Christian for around 30 years and was under house arrest in Rome when he wrote this letter.
then the statement that the Saints in Ephesus are 'faithful' or ever loyal, in Christ Jesus. What a compliment!
Paul then blesses them with 'Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, his way of opening his letters.
The grace of God, won through the sacrifice of Jesus,
and the blessing of peace, to help us love each other

'Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ,who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world,that we should be holy and without blame befote Him in love,having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,according to the good pleasure of His will,to the praise of the glory of His grace,by which He made us accepted in the beloved' (Ephesians 1:3-6)

'In Him we have redemption through His Blood,the forgiveness of sins,according to the riches of His grace,which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,having made known to us the mystery of His Will,according to His good pleasure,which He purposed in Himself,that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times,He might gather together in one,all things in Christ,both which are in heaven and which are on earth,in Him' (Ephesians 1:7-10)

'In Him also we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory' (Ephesians 1:11-12)

Thank you Lord for blessing us, Jews and Gentiles, with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Spiritual blessings are different than material blessings, spiritual blessings are eternal
Salvation is one blessing, with the hope of eternity in Christ,
Where is heaven? The place where Christ is, at the right hand of the Father, Verse 20

'In Him you also trusted,after you heard the word of truth,the gospel of your salvation in whom,also having believed,you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,who is the guarantee of our inheritance,until the redemption of the purchased possession,in the praise of His glory' (Ephesians 1:13-14)

I have been reading Spurgeon's devotional Bible (Spurgeon is another of my good friends) and he points out in verse 2
Grace first, and peace as its consequence. That peace which does not come to us as a result of grace is false and dangerous. Neither grace nor peace can come to us, except through God in Jesus Christ.
O Lord enlighten us...
