Figured out in order to make my goal by March I should be eating 1400 calories a day. That would give me three months wiggle room to make any changes needed... I think this is do able!

How many calories per day, have you typically eaten?

It varies, the problem is I normally don't keep track. The times when I keep track I make better choices so I end up around the 1400 mark anyways. But when I don't keep track I'd guess I end up 1800 to 2000 a day, with days where I might even exceed that.

So, after losing about 100 pounds this year, I'm about to take my diet up a notch. I'm going Keto and getting rid of all sugar from my diet. It's just causing too many issues. What I need to do is find more plant-based sources of protein.

You've lost 100 pounds this year? Good for you, Tony.

I need to get back on this. I'm no longer slim and trim like my avatar depicts. :(

100 pounds in one year??

*Sits down*

Please teach me the ways of losing weight, Guru Saucy.

Not sure how much of that is water weight. Although losing about 2 pounds a week for a year isn't bad.

Water weight, eh? He must be beef jerky by now at this rate!

Honestly, dieting isn't very complicated. Mainly about keeping the calorie count down. Burning more than you consume. Add exercise if you mess up or want to increase your food intake.

I remember hearing about a story where this professor wanted to prove that you can lose weight eating anything. So he ate nothing but chocolate for a few weeks, only he kept the calorie count down. And he lost weight regardless.

Right now I'm aiming for 1,500 calories a day and have thus far found it very easy to maintain this.

Might help that I don't eat breakfast either. And that my body is actually pretty good at tuning out physical pain. So while sometimes I do feel hungry if I don't intentionally focus on it I literally forget.. lol.

1,500 gives you a lot to work with. Just cut out the huge weight like soda. Splurge once a week. Keeping to a strict diet can discourage anyone. Every week I go to subway and get something nice. Goes over my limit a little, yet from what I can tell I'm still under the daily calorie limit. Of course not today, I didn't hold back with my thanksgiving meal. Lol.

Also look for low calorie alternatives. They can be quite helpful. Psychologically it helps to find food that can fill up your plate. So you still have a decent enough to chow down on, yet the calories are still significantly less. Instead of using mayonnaise (even the low calorie kind) just squirt more mustard on your meal.

You like drinking coke right? It's 140 calories. Fine, but you must sacrifice those calories from your other daily consumption.

How many drinks of coke do you typically drink in a day?
