No.... but it doesn't mean I can't go to the store tomorrow, nor does it mean that I won't not know tomorrow that which I don't know today. Hence why I believe you are using eisegesis instead of exegesis, you are manipulating the text to suit your belief.

It's not me that's manipulating the grammar. Past tense is past tense. Jesus used the past tense. If you apply the past tense to the future you are practicing eisegesis.

You are obviously having a game with us - or you cannot read and understand the English language - either way I have no intention of wasting another moment with your responses.

It's not me that's playing the game. I gave you the meaning of the Greek text. That the English translation doesn't properly convey the idea of what Jesus said isn't my fault. Instead of arguing why not look at a Greek Grammar and see what it says about the Perfect Tense? I'm sorry that you find getting to the real meaning of the passage a waste of time.

Did you read my other post. The proper translation is become ready.

He didn't tell everyone to become ready He told the apostles. So, like Noah they should become ready.

Neither, I would submit that your understanding of what Jesus said is wrong.

You are mixing metaphors and also trying to change the passages meaning to suit your agenda. I recommend searching the scriptures for truth rather than changing the meaning of scripture to achieve an outcome.

I've not changed anything. A little research into the text will show that. All you have to do is pick up a lexicon. Note also that right after the passage in question Jesus gives the parable of the 10 virgins. Notice He says they went out to meet the bridegroom. Well, if they went out to meet him obviously they knew when he was coming. Jesus didn't say that went out there on the off chance that the bridegroom might show up.

The Identity of the Antichrist, the Two Beasts of Revelation, and the harlot of Babylon

The Second Coming, the Trumpet Blasts, the Bowls of Wrath, and Inheriting the Earth

In the book of Daniel, a "day" symbolizes a literal year, hence why the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel, which is 490 days, symbolized 490 literal years from the time the decree was issued to rebuild Jerusalem, to the time of the first coming of Jesus Christ,

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. (Daniel 9:24-25 [WBT])

Where this time began around 458 BC by the decree issued by King Artaxerxes, where the first seven weeks, or 49 years, were the time of reconstruction,

In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before... The king said to me, "What is it you want?" Then I prayed to the God of heaven, and I answered the king, "If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my ancestors are buried so that I can rebuild it." Then the king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked me, "How long will your journey take, and when will you get back?" It pleased the king to send me; so I set a time. I also said to him, "If it pleases the king, may I have letters to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, so that they will provide me safe-conduct until I arrive in Judah? And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?" And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests. So I went to the governors of Trans-Euphrates and gave them the king's letters. The king had also sent army officers and cavalry with me. (Nehemiah 2:1-9 [NIV])

This is a copy of the letter King Artaxerxes had given to Ezra the priest, a teacher of the Law, a man learned in matters concerning the commands and decrees of the LORD for Israel: Artaxerxes, king of kings, To Ezra the priest, teacher of the Law of the God of heaven: Greetings. Now I decree that any of the Israelites in my kingdom, including priests and Levites, who volunteer to go to Jerusalem with you, may go. You are sent by the king and his seven advisers to inquire about Judah and Jerusalem with regard to the Law of your God, which is in your hand. Moreover, you are to take with you the silver and gold that the king and his advisers have freely given to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem, together with all the silver and gold you may obtain from the province of Babylon, as well as the freewill offerings of the people and priests for the temple of their God in Jerusalem. With this money be sure to buy bulls, rams and male lambs, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and sacrifice them on the altar of the temple of your God in Jerusalem. You and your fellow Israelites may then do whatever seems best with the rest of the silver and gold, in accordance with the will of your God. Deliver to the God of Jerusalem all the articles entrusted to you for worship in the temple of your God. And anything else needed for the temple of your God that you are responsible to supply, you may provide from the royal treasury. Now I, King Artaxerxes, decree that all the treasurers of Trans-Euphrates are to provide with diligence whatever Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law of the God of heaven, may ask of you-- up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred cors of wheat, a hundred baths of wine, a hundred baths of olive oil, and salt without limit. Whatever the God of heaven has prescribed, let it be done with diligence for the temple of the God of heaven. Why should his wrath fall on the realm of the king and of his sons? You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, musicians, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at this house of God. And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates--all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them. Whoever does not obey the law of your God and the law of the king must surely be punished by death, banishment, confiscation of property, or imprisonment. (Ezra 7:11-26 [NIV])

Though we are slaves, our God has not forsaken us in our bondage. He has shown us kindness in the sight of the kings of Persia: He has granted us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and he has given us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem. (Ezra 9:9 [NIV])

And then the next 62 weeks, or 434 years after the 49 years, we come to around 483 years after the issuance of the decree, to where Jesus Christ became "anointed" around the autumn of 26 AD, where this anointing means he received the holy spirit,

...to anoint the most Holy... (Daniel 9:24-25 [WBT])

Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. (John 1:32 [NIV])

Where after he became anointed with the holy spirit, and after being tempted by Satan during his 40 day fast,

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. (Luke 4:1-2 [NIV])

And after choosing disciples, which was around the time he went to Galilee after being baptized at the Jordan river,

When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. (Luke 4:13-14 [NIV])

The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!" When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means "Teacher"), "where are you staying?" "Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon. Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter). The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, "Follow me." (John 1:35-43 [NIV])

He then read this passage in Isaiah publicly,

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” 20 And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4:18-21 [NIV])

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bandage* the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; (Isaiah 61:1-2 [MODIFIED-ESV])*

Which happened around the spring of 27 AD, which was around the start of a new year, for the beginning of months in the Jewish calendar is around the time of the Passover and Festival of Unleavened Bread, in the month of Aviv,

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, "This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.
(Exodus 12:1-2 [NIV])

In the first month you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day. (Exodus 12:18 [NIV])

Then Moses said to the people, "Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the LORD brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast. Today, in the month of Aviv, you are leaving.
(Exodus 13:3-4 [NIV])

Where that year of 27 AD was the "favorable year of the Lord" mentioned in Isaiah, where Jubilee began later in that year around the autumn of 27 AD, which happens every 50 years in accordance to the Law of God, where "liberty" is "proclaimed",

Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. (Leviticus 25:10-11 [NIV])

Which was preceded by a Sabbath year at a 49th year, which began in the autumn of 26 AD, which was around the time Jesus Christ was baptized, and continued to around the autumn 27 AD, when the Jubilee began,

“‘Count off seven sabbath years–seven times seven years–so that the seven sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years... (Leviticus 25:8-10 [NIV])

At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. (Deuteronomy 15:1 [NIV])

Then Moses commanded them: "At the end of every seven years, in the year for canceling debts, during the Festival of Tabernacles, when all Israel comes to appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose, you shall read this law before them in their hearing. (Deuteronomy 31:10-11 [NIV])

Where in the span of this year after he became anointed with the holy spirit, Jesus began to proclaim the "good news", heal those oppressed by disease, free those held captive by demons, and give sight to the blind, in accordance to the year of Jubilee spoken of by Isaiah,

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. (Matthew 4:23 [NIV])

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them. That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. (Mark 1:29-32 [NIV])

And began to forgive sins in accordance to the cancellation of debts of the Sabbath year that preceded the Jubilee year,

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, "Son, your sins are forgiven." (Mark 2:5 [NIV])

When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." (Luke 5:20 [NIV])

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. (Matthew 6:12 [NIV])

and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.” (Luke 11:4 [ESV])

Where after the 68th week of Daniel Jesus Christ was crucified around the spring of 30 AD,

"Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing... (Daniel 9:26 [NASB])

Which was in the the middle of the 69th week of Daniel three and a half years later after receiving the holy spirit, where he himself became a sacrifice,

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. (1 Corinthians 5:7 [NIV])

God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- (Romans 3:25 [NIV])

And thus confirmed his covenant with many, in the middle of that final week, subsequently ending sacrifices and offerings,

"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering... (Daniel 9:27 [NASB])

This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:28 [NIV])

And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,
(Hebrews 10:10-12 [NIV])

"The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. (Jeremiah 31:31 [NIV])

Where in the years after his sacrifice, in the final portion of the 69th week of Daniel, commencing in the Feast of Weeks, otherwise known as Pentecost, the good news of the new covenant began to be spread around the world at the hand of apostles,

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (Mark 16:15 [NIV])

Thus fulfilling the 490 consecutive years of Daniel entirely, where afterwards was the destruction of the city and temple,

...and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. (Daniel 9:26 [NASB])

And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.” (Daniel 9:27 [ESV])

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down." (Matthew 24:1-2 [NIV])

"When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. (Luke 21:20-22 [NIV])

Which was destroyed by the Romans, who also established an "abomination of desolation", which means a desecration of the temple, which has happened several times in the past,

"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand-- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. (Matthew 24:15-18 [NIV])

Then the king of the north shall come and throw up siegeworks and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south shall not stand, or even his best troops, for there shall be no strength to stand… And he shall return to his land with great wealth, but his heart shall be set against the holy covenant. And he shall work his will and return to his own land. “At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south, but it shall not be this time as it was before. For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant. Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.
(Daniel 11:15-31 [ESV])

He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4 [NLT])

“And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done. (Daniel 11:36 [ESV])

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. (1 John 2:18 [NIV])

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 [NASB])

Out of one of them came a little horn, which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the glorious land. 10 It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them.11 It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. 12 And a host will be given over to it together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression, and it will throw truth to the ground, and it will act and prosper. (Daniel 8:9-12 [ESV])

The male goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. 22 The horn that was broken and in whose place there arose four others stands for four kingdoms that will arise from his nation, though they will not have his strength. 23 Toward the end of their rule, when rebellious acts are complete, a rash and deceitful king will arise. 24 His power will be great, but it will not be by his strength alone. He will cause terrible destruction. He will be successful in what he undertakes. He will destroy powerful people and the people of the holy ones. 25 By his treachery he will succeed through deceit. He will have an arrogant attitude, and he will destroy many who are unaware of his schemes. He will rise up against the Prince of princes, yet he will be broken apart—but not by human agency.(Daniel 8:21-25 [NETBIBLE])

Where the Roman emperor fulfilled the prophecies related to the "antichrist", "the king of the north", "little horn", and the "man of lawlessness", and fulfilled a distinct time that the Romans would persecute the people of God referred to as "time, times, and half a time" when their line of emperors became a line of popes,

The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.
(Daniel 7:25 [NIV])

With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action. Those who are wise among the people will give understanding to many, yet they will die by sword and flame, and be captured and plundered for a time. When defeated, they will be helped by some, but many others will join them insincerely. Some of the wise will fall so that they may be refined, purified, and cleansed until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.” (Daniel 11:32-35 [HCSB])

And since Nebuchadnezzar lost his sanity for "seven times", which was seven years, therefore a "time" is derived to be one year,

Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him. (Daniel 4:16 [NIV])

"One time" plus "two times" plus a "half time" means 3 1/2 years, which corresponds to 42 months that the first beast of Revelation is said to have authority to wage war against the holy people,

And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:5 [ESV])

It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
(Revelation 13:7 [ESV])

And just as each day means one literal year in the book of Daniel, the 3 1/2 years and 42 months is derived to be 1,260 literal years, where this time began around 538 AD when the pope was officially granted power by the Justinian Code, to around 1798 AD when the pope was taken into captivity by the French, where throughout this appointed time, inquisitions and massacres were perpetrated by the rule of the papacy that martyred the people of God. The book of Daniel also prophesied a distinct time of 1,290 days,

"From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. (Daniel 12:11 [NIV])

Which corresponds to a time when daily sacrifices were abolished, which was around 599 BC, where 1,290 years later around 692 AD was the completion of construction of the Dome of the Rock, which was another "abomination of desolation", since it was built on the temple site, and then another 1,335 days are added to that time,

Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. (Daniel 12:12 [NIV])

Which comes to around 2027 AD, which is the possible year of the second coming of Jesus Christ, for the autumn of 2027 AD will be the start of a year of Jubilee that continues to the autumn of 2028 AD, counting cycles of fifty years from 27 AD, where at the Day of Atonement of that year of Jubilee, which is Yom Kippur, a final trumpet will be blasted after the Festival of Trumpets,

"'Count off seven sabbath years--seven times seven years--so that the seven sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. (Leviticus 25:8-10 [NIV])

Which is the last trumpet spoken of by Paul, where the dead will be raised,

[51] Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all indeed sleep, but all shall be changed, [52] in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For it shall trump, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For it is necessary this corruption to put on incorruptibility, and this mortal to put on immortality. [54] But whenever this corruptible should have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal should have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word having been written, Death was swallowed down in victory.
(I Corinthians 15:51-54 [ABP])

For Jesus Christ comes with the sound of trumpets,

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:16 [NIV])

Where Jesus Christ will begin to rule on the earth for a 1,000 years till around 3027 AD,

…of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6 [NIV])

And the seventh angel trumped. And there were great voice in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world is become of our Lord, and of his Christ, and he shall reign into the aeons* of the aeons*. (Revelation of John 11:15 [MODIFIED-ABP])*

Interlinear Links: *αἰῶνας (aeons), αἰώνων (aeons), Revelation 11:15

Which corresponds to the last thousand years of this heaven and earth, for it will be a Sabbath rest for the entire earth,

For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.” Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest.” (Psalm 95:10-11 [ESV])

For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; (Hebrews 4:8-9 [NIV])

Which relates to why God created heaven and earth in six days and rested on the seventh,

For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” (Hebrews 4:4 [NIV])

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. (Genesis 2:2 [NIV])

To foreshadow the length of time God has appointed for it to exist, a total of 7,000 years,

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8 [KJV])

Where the last thousand years will be a long Sabbath rest, in which case, according to the Jewish calendar, even though it is difficult to know what exact we are in since the beginning creation, we do know we are soon approaching the 6,000th year. In which case, after this heaven and earth ceases to exist after the last thousand years have expired,

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35 [NIV])

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Mark 13:31 [NIV])

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Luke 21:33 [NIV])

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. (Revelation 20:11 [NIV[)

Then a new heaven and new earth will be created by God,

Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. (Revelation 21:1 [NIV])

"See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. (Isaiah 65:17 [NIV])

"As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the LORD, "so will your name and descendants endure. (Isaiah 66:22 [NIV])

With newly appointed times, called the "aeons of the aeons",

And there will be no night there; and they have no need of a lamp, and the light of the sun, for the Lord God enlightens them; and they shall reign into the aeons* of the aeons*. (Revelation 22:5 [MODIFIED-ABP])*

Seriously, you are wrong-headed when you try to find the year of Christ's Return...no one knows the day or the hour...this is spiritual talk for no one knows at all but that it is approaching and we can witness the strengthening and increase of the signs the Lord has pointed out to us through the testimony of His apostles recorded in Scripture. The emphasis to us has always only been to WATCH! The end time is spelled out as a surprise coming.
Likewise both some of the Psalms warn against intrigues (and this is surely an intrigue of yours) and calls them out as downfalls and wickedness and then too Daniel writing about end times speaks of "a king", a contemptible man (and we know that a contemptible man is so because he is a tool of Satan himself) will seize the kingdom through intrigue.
I believe you should have strong concern now as to whether you are a victim of an agent of intrigue as you search for an end time year...it is not given unto us to know. Watch for the signs and stay faithful to the point of death...don't risk your salvation trying to find the YEAR (or date) of Christ's return.

How are you "studying" if your whole argument on your previous post is on why we should throw my study out? Hence why I replied the way I did. Come back when you manage to stick your head out of the sand, and then maybe we can have an intelligent conversation.
Huh? I have no idea what you’re talking about. Care for a little cheese with that whine? Peace out.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matt. 24:14-22 KJV)

Here Jesus is pretty clear. When you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel, let him who reads understand. The time can be known.

No, it cannot be known...you can witness the signs, and they lead to understanding of one thing: WATCH...the emphasis here again is watch and stay faithful...understand that the time will surely come...
II Peter 3:8-10:
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare

You’re citing prophesy from Jesus when destruction of the temple happened 40 years after his death and resurrection.

Yes, it comes as a thief in the night. That's for those who aren't ready. The passage I post shows plainly that one can know.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (1 Thess. 5:1-4 KJV)

Paul had enlightened his readers so that even though the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night, it would not overtake them as a thief.

Yes, it's prophesy from Jesus.
Yes, Jesus was talking about the second destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. There’s no timeline in the Bible hinted that points to Jesus’ second coming.

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” -Mark 13:32

I think too many people get way too fixated on dates and times and/or the minutia of it all. Instead, we should be focusing on daily prayers and praise to our Savior. When it’s time, Jesus will make it know. As of now, He doesn’t believe that it’s inportant for us to dwell on this subject, let alone worry about it. It’s all planned and God is in total control. Praise be.

Next year is not a possible year of the Lord's return, for we know what events must first take place before the second coming which haven't happened yet.

You believe you know.
People have been saying for years that we are in end times; ever since the ascension, in fact.

Even Paul knew the order of events, when he said, "the Lord will not come UNTIL".

Paul, like the other apostles, believed that the Lord would return in their lifetime.
In Revelation there are the words, "behold I am coming soon." When was Revelation written? At least 1900 years ago - so how soon is soon?

But, it's hard to know the order of timings when you choose to stick your head in the sand and blindfold yourself and make it a point to not know.

I don't believe we can know. Everyone who has predicted a date for the Lord's return has been wrong.

There were, apparently, many signs that something would happen during the London Olympics in 2012 - all from Scripture; reasons and logical explanations given. Nothing happened.
Some years ago someone listed the "clear signs" that Tony Blair was the antichrist, that various things would happen and then we would have x number of years before the end. Again, all these signs were foretold in Scripture, so were inevitable. Except that Blair wasn't the antichrist, none of the things this forummer said were inevitable happened, and we're still here. Since then, we've had Harold Camping, blood moons and several other events and signs listed which were "clear signs."

All that you've said is that 2027 is a possible year.
Even if this forum is still here in 10 years time and there are people who remember this thread, if they say to you "why didn't the Lord return last year?" your answer will be "I only said that it was a possible date". Supposing this forum is still here in 2030 and people are writing about a possible date for the Lord's return - what then? Supposing you are on your death bed in 2025 and you think, "I am going to be with the Lord soon, but he hasn't yet returned to earth"? What then?

Jesus teachings and parables on end times say that we should be ready - that something will happen when we are not expecting it.
If it's possible to work out the year of his return, why didn't Jesus say "all you who live before the 20th century, you'll be fine. You don't need to think at all about end times; don't worry about it. But everyone living from 1990 onwards, had better start being prepared"?

Someone was telling me the other day that Gods original date for the second coming has changed because he calculated a date which should have been a long time ago, so rather than consider he was wrong he decided God must have changed his mind. Most people who calculate when it will happen cant accept they are wrong, but as someone else said they have been wrong 100% of the time so far.

And it is mildly amusing and frustrating at the same time how they change it when it doesnt happen and they make excuses for how something they said God had told them is proven wrong.

An example of this is the Millerite movement that later became the Seventh Day Adventist church (see here). I think this part of the wiki article is quite interesting:

The Great Disappointment is viewed by some scholars as an example of the psychological phenomenon of cognitive dissonance[29] and True-believer syndrome. The theory was proposed by Leon Festinger to describe the formation of new beliefs and increased proselytizing in order to reduce the tension, or dissonance, that results from failed prophecies.[30] According to the theory, believers experienced tension following the failure of Jesus' reappearance in 1844, which led to a variety of new explanations. The various solutions form a part of the teachings of the different groups that outlived the disappointment.

The coming of the Lord has always been soon, because a thousand years, or two thousand years is not a very long time in the grand scope of things, for those who are chosen will never die but will continue living on into aeons of aeons as Revelation says. I say 2027 is the possible year of the return of the Lord to urge people to be prepared. Indeed we should be prepared as if the second coming were tomorrow, but now that we are much closer than ever, our stern warnings should come with actual prophetic timelines that are about to expire, to urge and compel people to become ready. Many of you are not ready. You can heed the warning, or you cannot. Unlike other men that have tried predicting the second coming of the Lord based on foolish notions, I have based it on reliable sources, the festivals and appointed times of the Torah, and the timelines in the book of Daniel. Whether or not the second coming is in 2027 is a mystery, but there will indeed be a convergence of timelines in that year without a doubt.
