I was never in a Baptist Church. Most are Calvinistic. Though I was surprised to hear that Pat Robertson of 700 Club says he is Baptist. Didn't know there were any non-cessationist Baptists.

EW Kenyon started the Word of Faith movement he was a Freewill Baptist Pastor
My Dad was a Free Will Baptist Pastor so the transition was easy for me to find the truth.

We have the Spirit of God through Christ upon salvation.
God is three yet one,the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a separate manifestation all believers should have but generations have taught it does not exist.
We should receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost upon salvation but it is quenched by unbelief and man made doctrine.
They have a form of godliness but deny the power there of.

Did you ever see in Acts that the same people that received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, received a separate filling in Acts 4? The second filling, which Pentecostals call the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the more powerful one for signs and wonders and the gifts of the Spirit of 1 Corinthians 12, which cessationists no longer agree are valid for today. But they do agree that the first filling of the Holy Spirit is for power over sin and salvation. We all get hung up on semantics: baptism, filling, filled, come upon you.

Also note that the first filling for salvation is when they received the personal prayer language in Acts 2. It is given to all who believe, whether they believe in it and use it or not. That corresponds to Mark 16:16-18. And Acts 4 is the 1 Cor. 12 gifts for the profit of the church.

What I just wrote most Pentecostals don't know about as I've never heard it preached.

I have a Kenyon book somewhere. But I haven't read it yet. I have hundreds of books.

Kenneth E Hagin is truly the founder of the modern-day Word of Faith Movement.
He taught from some of Keynons teaching ,but had vast experience as a traveling Preacher Teaching Faith in every aspect of your walk with God.
Today there are imposters who we are aligned with.
Many do not understand what prosperity means and Faith for Healing.
Some are con artist but they throw us in with them as well.
Andrew Wommack is a great teacher,as well Jessie Duplantis ,but often his boldness is misunderstood you have to listen to how he qualifies his teaching it is sound.
Keith Moore ,Bishop Dale Bronner are others I like as well.

Good night and God Bless

Everybody loves (Dr. Billy Graham) right? World renowned and well-respected. I'm just going to quote a piece from him about the forgiveness of sins. We have to be careful with our questions. Some could lead to debating and we don't want that. We can just share our convictions and simply agree to disagree... (if necessary). How's that sound?

Colossians 2:13-14 reads as follows, When you were dead in your sins and in the un-circumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us ALL our sins, having cancelled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

Dr. Billy Graham

"One of the Bible’s greatest truths is that Christ died to take away ALL our sins–not just part of them, but ALL of them: past, present, and future. This is why you shouldn’t fear that you will lose your salvation every time you commit a sin. If that were the case, you and I would lose our salvation every day–because we sin every day. Even if our actions are pure, our thoughts often are not. And even if our actions and thoughts are pure, we still sin because of the good things we should be doing but fail to do."

I could also quote (Dr. Michael Brown) who is also well respected (in the Christian community), who has a complete different view that just our (past sins) are forgiven and we have to confess, be remorseful, and repent of the (100 million) more/less of sins (wilful or not) that we may commit in the future. With that being said, we could also quickly find (50)... or many others as well respected "notables" who would believe (either way) on the issue. With that in mind... we don't need to go there. I'll leave you with this... I have heard several teachers of the Word say about the forgiveness of sins, "What if we miss one in our confessing/repenting?" Just a few I've heard would be Joseph Prince, Andrew Wommack, Creflo Dollar etc.

Are All Our Sins Forgiven? – Grace thru faith

If anybody is interested... I have this article by (Jack Kelly) that I have in my archives. He explored the issue of "past, present, and future sins being forgiven" (or not)... and did a good study on this subject also... "But We Still Sin!"

I think it's nap time...

Uh-oh... another Grace book... yet, another interpretation. Don't go away! (Please here me out!) It gets better...

(19) posts in just under (one hour) and saying nothing but advertising this book on (Saturday) between 6:49PM to 7:48PM to (12) different sub-forums here on ChristianForums. No other comments. No profile. Here comes my curiosity. (So hang in there!)

Consider this...

Any chance in letting us (all) get to know you? So don't be shy... come in and say, Hi! Were ALL here to fellowship and learn from each other... My research on this author and (this) "another" Grace book is showing that this book (may) just be a good recommendation [and]... as far as this same question that keeps coming up, "Who is right?" about (all) of OUR..."I believe" interpretations of what God's Grace is? (No one!)... even comes close to achieving that. We all fall short. I believe God planned it that way (despite our differences)... but His Word says, "no weapon formed against you (The Church) will prosper, [nor] will the gates of hell prevail against it, you... (The Church). (Isaiah 54:17a), (Matthew 16:18b)

Unity in the Body

Ephesians 4:1-6

1 As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received: 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Why did Paul urge these things?

Ephesians 4:12
12 to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, 13 until we ALL reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

"BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"(Psalm 133:1) [and] "Now I plead with you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing... and that there be no divisions among you, but... that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (1 Corinthians 1:10)

God may not unite 40,000+/- (denoms) throughout the world... but, out of these (denoms)... the true Church of Jesus Christ is arising, and uniting together and being awakened to righteousness through His Grace.
Thank you and welcome to our forum... and as Curley (3 Stooges) would say, "say a few syllables."
