Matthew 23:15 said:
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

Matthew 7:15 said:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."

Matthew 7:3-5 said:
Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

That's about all I have to say about it.

Oh, Romney.

He's gearing up for a run at Congress from Mormonland, you know, so now's the time to get back into his Mr. Morality role.

I don't understand your logic here. Wouldn't he be better off supporting Moore, since "Mormonland" is extremely conservative Republican, to the point they dropped a fairly conservative Republican (voted him out in the primaries) to replace him with an even more conservative Tea Party Republican? I'm not sure how his comment today aids him in running for Congress.

Oh well. GOP now means — in Alabama— Grand Old Perverts. Roll Tide.

On a related note, Judge Moore announced he will, if elected, introduce a bill to erect a Nine Commandments monument in the Senate rotunda.
Correction: The Moore For Your Money PAC announced it will pay for the monument. As a cost-saving measure, one more Commandment will be dropped. Thus the Eight Commandments Monument will chiseled out of hardened clay.

Making Adolescent Groping Acceptable...?...;)

I wonder how many of the people who were upset about Anthony Weiner sexting with a 15 year old, called for his resignation and celebrated his getting jail time are now perfectly ok with Roy Moore having direct contact with a 14 year old.

There exits very conservative Republican evangelical Christians who do not accept Moore. Yes, Utah is very conservative, very Republican, and very Mormon. PERHAPS, this one conservative religious group actually finds Moore offensive.

Yes, Romney has made a statement that he believes is supported by those in Utah. I suspect that he is correct.

About 35% of American voters.

Probably 80-85% of AL White Evangelicals vote Republican. However, if enough of them are troubled by the news today about Judge Roy Moore, then he could lose the Senate race next month. What would you do if you were an AL Republican voter tonight and you believed the allegations? Would you vote for Judge Moore or vote for the Democrat or stay home?

If all it takes to remove good men is a vague, evidence-less accusation from forty years ago, our republic is doomed.

I was born and raised in Alabama. If I still had residency there, I would be first in line to vote for Chief Justice Moore.
Good to know you support politicians who don't follow the Constitution.

To the contrary, it's precisely because he does follow the Constitution that I support him.

For example, the Constitution says that the power to regulate marriage is reserved to the states. When the federal government tried to bully Alabama and tell us what we must accept as "marriage", Chief Justice Moore stood up to them and pointed out that the Constitution does not give them that authority and that the Constitution's declaration that the power to regulate marriage is reserved to the states supersedes their opinions.

.

The accusations are very specific. We will probably never have direct evidence or a witness to the alleged crime. It's the word of four teenagers vs one man in a position of power (district attorney's office) who had no business crossing interacting with minors.

If the man had any sense of honor or respect for the state of Alabama, he would step aside.

They're not teenagers. They're women in their 50s and 60s, one of whom is a drug addict with a criminal record and another of whom is a former Hillary Clinton operative.

If the man had any sense of honor or respect for the state of Alabama, he would step aside.

Why? If he set the precedent that an evidence-less accusation from forty years ago is enough to remove a good man, that would do incalculable damage to our republic and our electoral process.

This snippet should tell everyone everything they need to know about the sad state of affairs Alabama is in...

Alabama Republicans have largely defended Moore from these accusations.[139] For example, Alabama state Auditor Jim Zeigler defended Moore's alleged actions on biblical grounds,[140] and Alabama State representative Ed Henry advocated prosecuting the accusers criminally.[141] Marion County Republican chair David Hall said that the encounter was irrelevant because it happened "40 years ago". Bibb County Republican chair Jerry Pow said that he'd support Roy Moore "even if the candidate had committed a sex crime" because he "wouldn't want to vote for Doug (Jones)." Convington County Republican party chairman William Blocker stated that he would still consider voting for Moore even if "hard proof of sexual abuse emerged". However, the chair in Geneva County, Riley Seibenhener said he would not support Moore if the allegations were true.[142] Joel Pollak, a senior editor at Breitbart defended Moore by saying that relationships between 30-something year old man and 16 to 18 year old girls were "not inappropriate".[132]

So basically
1) "The Bible Says this sort of thing is fine!"
2) "There's no way someone from my part could be in the wrong, let's prosecute the accusers!"
3) "Eh, molestation doesn't matter if it happened 40 years ago..."
4) "I hate democrats so much that I'd knowingly vote for a sex criminal"
5) "I would still consider voting for him even if there were hard evidence that it was true"
6) "Let's just pretend we're talking about 18 year olds (instead of their actual ages) and hope nobody looks into it further so that we can claim the other side is making a big deal over nothing"

The statements alone are concerning...even if the allegations were 100% false, the fact that prominent state officials would make these statements should be very troubling for anyone who lives in that state.

Even if it turned out the allegations were completely made up (which I don't think they were), citizens should be demanding the resignations of the aforementioned officials.

The emphasis it's only from the state Republicans.

Obviously I was referring to their ages when alleged events occurred. By his own admission, he dated teenagers as a 32 year old man.

Why? If he set the precedent that an evidence-less accusation from forty years ago is enough to remove a good man, that would do incalculable damage to our republic and our electoral process.

A good man would never put himself in such a position....

I would say there is a lot more before this case that should have disqualified him for the senate in the minds of any sane voters.

True, but it would seem the spirit of George Wallace is still alive and well in Alabama.

At this point, you really have to especially when there has been more than three that have come out.

The stories of the other three women, while not as far-fetched, are still unproven, and none of them accuse Moore of any criminal conduct. Apples to oranges comparison.

Oh well. GOP now means — in Alabama— Grand Old Perverts. Roll Tide.

Well, being the party of self-righteous prudes didn't seem to work well for the party back in the 90's. If the Dems want to take up that role they're welcome to it...

Is this what you recommend the saw should be?

A good man would never put himself in such a position....

...and there is no proof that he did. Moore has denied ever meeting Leigh Corfman.

Who were they trying to rig the election for? You do realise that the primary complainant is a Trump voter...yes?
Oh- that doesn't matter. When it comes to a woman being assaulted- they just don't care- even when a man is on record stating he does things to women (i.e. Trump). What amazes me here is that some folks of a certain mindset have the audacity to complain about Sharia Law (where it takes two women to equal the testimony of one man)- but loads of women can come forward and accuse the same man of sexual assault (as we've seen play out multiple times of late) and these same types will call them all liars (even when what they're saying is not really in doubt and can be proven). Don't be shocked when they don't believe a single Trump voting woman that comes forward.
