You however are not the holder of all truth. Do you call anyone a heretic who doesnt belong to your denomination?

The Church is... that is the fundamental that we are disagreeing on. You say it does not. I say it does.

AND THIS AREA IS FOR THOSE WHO SAY IT DOES.

I would call anything that rejects 'Holy Tradition' heresy.

Forgive me...

I haven't seen a rejection of the precepts in the statement of faith of CF in this thread. Religion Can Take A Hike is a second reformation style statement. In stating divisive theology can take a hike it is reaffirming the one universal church for all believers. If this was posted in the tradition forum, that would have been a bad fit.
Exactly. I avoid the traditional forum. This isnt good enough though, it seems, because im being asked to leave GT.

I dont agree with their church, so they accuse mee of rejecting truth in the creed. They want to get rid of me it seems.
Don't let them. If they're accusing you falsely, that cannot stand.

  • Annihilationism
Good example of why one would have something against 'religion'.
It's ambiguous decissions like dismissing Annihilationism (which is the same as Conditional Immortalism John 3:16 ) and calling it 'controversial' and (in the case of CF) may not be preached, while Bible exegesis tells you God will not torture the unsaved for ever and ever without any purpose or outcome (justice will never be done in the traditional view), and eternal life without Christ because of the eternal soul heresy, that shows you why creeds should be subjected to Scripture in stead of the other way around.

And what's an 'Apostolic Church' supposed to be nowadays?

Anyway, the dreaded teaching of eternal conscious torment (eternal life without Christ, but in 'hell', being tortured fort ever and ever and ever) has scared away many people from God, thanks to 'religion'.
Meanwhile so called Christians feel justified in agreeing that the unsaved should be tortured for ever and ever.

Rotten fruits.

I'm not even gonna touch on the crusades and the inquisition under "saint" Ignatius.

(sorry, bit of a rant...)

Yeah, but you don't have to, I may have posted something like this in Controversial Theology and got the same reception. General theology is a place to examine theology without the denominational protections in the congregational areas.

It seems that the EO has many such places to go and have a safe environment, but i can only post in the controversial forums? Thats not right.

Then change what GT says. It's been done before.

Forgive me...
I see what GT says differently, false accusations have been done for sure, me being at the receiving end of them. I go away for a bit, and the flaming rules were updated each time. I look at the end of James 3 and see a lot of progress since the old days. Since he hasn't violated the statement of faith, don't say he has. Your definition of what Nicene christianity may be different than the SOF, but that's not what the mods are enforcing in consideration of all the traditions here.

General theology and controversial theology are similar type areas with different purposes. I was just saying what I would have done, not what you had to do. ;)

"TAKE A HIKE" == FLAME, GOAD ETC.

DIVISIVE

Forgive me...
Saying:
We are the one true Church
as some do, causes this division.
People are allowed to say "Take a hike" to such statements i.m.h.o.
