That fine is no longer in place, though you should probably still keep it haha. I wish I had it when I busted my knee this year.
Medi-cal is so messed up and unorganized i dont want to go through the hassle of changing it unless I need to. They just don't know what they are doing.
And it is nice to have insurance as a backup for emergencies like that. So I'm keeping it as long as it's an option.

Ugh I know! I'm so disappointed for you guys. Denver's season is done, so I figured I would root you guys since he was doing well. But next season, with a healthy JJ, ya'll will be a favorite contender.
Well I was already considering this season a wash at the start but after seeing his potential I was getting excited and hopeful I wont lie.

I know he is a rookie and too many unknowns to say for sure (Rookies can look good year one, but mediocre the rest of their career....but it made me hopeful for the future. Now Im just worried about how he heals and if it is a sign of things to come. Now Im a Jags fan..... (The guy that tattooed the Titans as AFC south champs before the season started. Its that level of arrogance that made me start hating the Cowboys.)

Yeah I think I might be rooting for the Jags too. I love defense and they look nasty. I'm expecting Philly to collapse...hopefully against Denver on Sunday :D we still have a tiny chance, as the AFC West is still up for grabs. New England is a wild card this year. Houston is now a wild card. There is no real dominant team this year.

I dont see us as a wild card now (Jags or Titans maybe). Watson was the thing we needed and he is no longer an option. I didn't see us making SB but after limping into the playoffs on the back of our D......I was looking forward to watching us have an O finally. (Even IF it's only happening due to lack of game film on the rookie.)

Without Watson we are less than mediocre on O. With the banged up D we wont be able to keep up with opposing offenses. I was comfortable going into the Colts game.... now I still expect to win, but wont shock me to L.

Wouldnt upset me to see Denver in it.... after all my horse (so to speak) is out of the race as I see it.

All we need is at least a serviceable, decent QB with an arm and that fits Brock.

Leo, have you looked into Medi-Share? It's a Christian-based health insurance cost-sharing program. My understanding is that it does qualify as valid health insurance under the Affordable Care Act rules. I know a couple in my church either has it or has used it in the past and they had a good experience with it. From what I have heard it tends to be cheaper than marketplace health insurance plans as well.

Another option could be to find a health insurance plan with a high deductible (which will carry a lower monthly premium) and then open a Health Savings Account with what you can afford to contribute into it. That can save you a lot of money on health insurance costs if you don't tend to go to the doctor very often. That way you are still covered and don't face a tax penalty come April.

If you want to chat any more about this, feel free to PM me too :) Finance is a passion of mine and I try to stay up-to-date on important things like this.
I'll definitely look into that. Thanks!

Yeah, the Texans are unfortunately not a playoff team without Watson. I think the door is wide open for either Tennessee or Jacksonville to take that division, and Tennessee has been floundering as of late.

Given all of the injury developments that have taken place so far, it looks to me like this is how it will shake out:

NFC North Champs - Detroit Lions
NFC South Champs - New Orleans Saints
NFC East Champs - Philadelphia Eagles
NFC West Champs - Seattle Seahawks
Wildcards - Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings

AFC North Champs - Pittsburgh Steelers
AFC South Champs - Jacksonville Jaguars
AFC East Champs - New England Patriots
AFC West Champs - Kansas City Chiefs
Wildcards - Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders

I think Kansas City and Pittsburgh would be the most likely to play in the AFC Championship, and Philadelphia and Seattle probably have the best chance in the NFC. But as we've seen, lots could happen on the injury front that would majorly change things once again.

Well, to be fair we limped into the playoffs before while not being a legit playoff team...... but I agree we wont likely be limping in this year, too many injuries to key players.

Im rooting for Jacksonville... as I said the arrogance of the Titans fans makes me root for the broken Jags fans. Its been a long time since they were out of the basement of the AFCS so I can't hate on the Jags if they take it.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Jason Peters injury is huge, and Broncos got a mighty fine D.
That's the thing with Denver. They'll destroy good teams, like they do nearly every time they play New England (Brady has a worse record against Denver than any other team) and how they destroyed Dallas this year, but then they face the winless Giants...in Denver...after a bye...and lose. If Siemian didn't throw a pick-6 at the Chiefs, we could've beaten them.

Still annoyed that the Houston Astros won but at least I have pizza.
How bout this for a deal.... you make it so Watson never tears his ACL and you can have the WS title. I couldn't care less about baseball.... unless of course it were basketball. :sorry:

958 games a season... only the last 7 matter.... what sense does that make?
