Healing in the Bible wasn't done for the purpose of making people well, but for demonstrating the authority of the healer. Because we have our Bible and accept Jesus as Christ, healing no longer has a purpose. The only faith healers today are illegitimate con artists.

In third world countries were people have no access to medical and post trauma support
services whatsoever then here the very poor enjoy spectacular miracles in response to
their needs.

Other explanation might be that poor , superstitious and uneducated people are more easily duped by charlatans.

South African preacher mocked after charging for 'heavenly' photos

Hunting for humans: African albinos live in fear - CNN

Bald men targeted in ritual killings 'because their heads contain gold'

Jesus wept … oh, it's bad plumbing. Indian rationalist targets 'miracles'

As for Nick who got in accident and presumably got real medical care for it in a hospital - although you conveniently left that part out and is now

By medical standards his healing and recovery is miraculous and now he can moved his head and shoulders.

So he got in accident, got medical care and is now recovering better than average in good spirits supported by his faith and loving family ?

Wouldn’t real miracle have been not needing medical care at all with immediate full recovery since I am sure nobody doubts God’s power to do that but instead we get miracle of speedy recovery probably aided by a medical based recovery program as well as divine efforts of course.

Well, good for Nick, hope he makes full recovery.

God is working through Nick's circumstances.
The real miracles here are that a former atheist now has God dwelling within him;
his family and others have also been born again by water and the Spirit and
all can of course pray in tongues.

The end game is always about salvation.

Sister Matilda from Vanimo, Papua New Guinea presents a truthful testimony to
her miracle of healing by the power of God through faith.
She was not "cured" by any charlatan but by the indwelling Holy Spirit in a
true Christian Pentecostal church that unashamedly stands on the promises of God.

These signs shall follow them that believe ... they shall lay hands on the sick and
they shall recover.
Jesus demonstrated the power of God with countless miracles and healings.
The apostles and first disciples did likewise.
Christians have always through the centuries upheld the continuation of miracles and
healings.
And now in the latter rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit over some 140 years Pentecost
is again reliving the book of Acts.

Sorry it is not happening in your neighbourhood. But it sure is in mine.

Sure it is. Take the kids to doctor though, would hate to read about more Pentecostal lack of miracles in the news since nobody is speaking about Sister Matilda getting divine cosmetic surgery after being operated and cured by medical professionals in nearby hospital either.

Newspapers can be so selective and miracles happening in Papua-New Guinea like a rain I guess it doesn’t make headlines.

What is your problem? Besides unbelief...

Jesus himself said:
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so shall ye be
my disciples. John 15:7-8

Really? You actually believe that twaddle? Check your bible. Healing was done to HEAL and to display the power of God. It was nothing to do with the healer. It always is to glorify God.

Con artists hey? OK. Explain this one. I was away at a youth conference with the young people of our church (I was one of the leaders at the time). A young 15 year old girl had been 80% deaf in one ear all her life. On the Sunday, God told me to pray for her. She now has 100% hearing in that ear, verified by Drs. With NO other explanation.
Or other cases where people have been verifiably healed from Cancer. I know multiple people who can testify that they have been for scans and tests showing cancer, with follow up tests showing it gone with NO treatment. All VERIFIABLE by medical records.

The lack of faith abundant in our Churches astounds me. I suppose it's easier to say "God doesn't heal" than to get of our collectives, start praying and go and do what we've been told to do.

But if you want to have a safe boring religion, go for it. I'd rather have a live, exciting amazing relationship with the one true God. A God of miracles. A God of Healing. A God who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. A God who bestows his Power and Authority on those who love Him. My God can do ALL things. My God is not some small god who can no longer do what he used to.

God bless

Yes , it was truly amazing testimony. Even more amazing is the fact some people would consider it true.

Those of us who consider that it may be true, do so on the basis of experience and faith. We have seen the power of God at work. Maybe if you had, you would be less likely to call the things of God as if they were the things of Satan. Be careful. That is dangerous teritory.

God bless.

So you think all 50 people that may be reading this thread should agree with you? And the one that doesn’t represents Christianity in general.
Not at all. However, Christianity in general accepts that miracles still happen, that God CAN and DOES heal today. So....

It’s not like Jesus Himself did not warn us of false miracles in the last days. So should we believe every internet testimony as true? When we have no idea who it was written by?

Yep, he did. However, false miracles bring glory to the performer. True miracles bring glory to God. Just because you don't believe doesn't mean everyone has to agree with you either.

God bless

Here's on example, Luke 5:24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the man who was paralyzed—“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.”

Quiz time:
Jesus healed a paralyzed man because:
A) Jesus wanted to display the power of God (like a circus performer showing off).
B) Jesus wanted to show he had the authority to forgive sins (The visible to demonstrate the invisible).

You answered A. You flunked.

Do you know why the miracles that the Apostles performed are repeatedly called signs?

Con artists hey? OK. Explain this one. I was away at a youth conference with the young people of our church (I was one of the leaders at the time). What is 80% deaf? Considering lost frequency response, many adults are roughly 50% death, and few of them notice at all. I don't believe there's any doctor's record of her gaining significant hearing vs. the 15 years of her life, at least not apart from medical treatment. Your god healed the hearing of a girl who could already hear, leaving plenty of room for you to imagine that she hears better when she hears the same as before.

If you really know of what the doctor has said, then what did the doctor identify as the cause of her 80% deafness? If there really is a doctor's record verifying the healing, then post it (just black-out the girl's name).

But if you want to have a safe boring religion, go for it. I'd rather have a live, exciting amazing relationship with the one true God.

I don't need a church of circus performers who mock god with their antics and who teach the worst doctrines, all around, found in any church.

Not quite.
It's actually BOTH!
And that was just 1 example and one specific to Christ not to us. Other examples show that healing was for the Glory of God.

Do you know why the miracles that the Apostles performed are repeatedly called signs?

Yep, because the "signs" brought Glory to God and showed HIS power, not the disciples. The disciples were just vessels that allowed themselves to be used by God. Just as we can. They were no different to us. Simply men who made themselves available to God. To be used as he wanted.

It was HIS power, HIS glory.

Arrogance in the extreme. I would really be careful my friend. You are dancing around blasphemy of the holy spirit.

I can assure you the healing was true.
80% deaf was across the whole range of frequencies. So basically she could barely hear anything.
I really don't care that you don't believe that there is any record. You are flat wrong. I don't appreciate being called a liar.

I am not going to post her details for your approval. For a start they are not mine to post. Even if I did you would try to say that they weren't real or were faked in some way so there's no point. You are determined to decry works of God as parlour tricks or works of the Devil. I pity you.

Your arrogance seems to know no bounds. But hey. You're just some person behind a keyboard. i don't need your approval, strangely, neither does God. He will heal even without your approval.

I would seriously look at your heart my friend. God is bigger than you know. He is more powerful than you can imagine and can do things even you don't know about. Just because you haven't seen or experienced it yourself does not mean God can't do it. Who are you to judge Him? Scary!

Correct, you don't. You need a new experience of the True and Living God. I pray you find Him.
God bless.
