God has ALWAYS spiritually OFFERED salvation to ALL Men...who must in turn CHOOSE: accept or reject spiritually God's gracious invitation to the SALVATION EVENT...THEN...through the SANCTIFICATION PROCESS.

The TRI-UNE GOD through God the Holy Spirit:
...DRAWS...CALLS...KNOCKS...DWELLS

God "wants"/"DESIRES" all Mankind to be saved.
If anyone truly and spiritually seeks God, Jesus the God-Man will be revealed to him.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,
not wishing for any to perish (spiritually separated) but for all to come to repentance.(turn to God)

1 Timothy 2:
3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at [e]the proper time.

CALL/DRAW/KNOCK

John 6:44
No one can come to Me
unless the Father who sent Me
(spiritually) DRAWS him;
and I will raise him up on the last day.

Matthew 9:13
But go and learn what this means:
‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’
for I did not come to CALL the righteous, but sinners.”

Matthew 22:14
For many are CALLED, but few are chosen.” (by ACCEPTING!)

Ephesians 2:5
even when we were dead in our transgressions,
MADE us (spiritually) ALIVE together with Christ
(by grace (through spirit-led FAITH/BELIEF) you HAVE BEEN saved),

Matthew 7:8
For everyone who asks receives,
and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

CHOOSE / CHOICE / "FREE WILL"

Man SPIRITUALLY CHOOSES whether he want to be a "child of God" (saved believer)...or...NOT.

God spiritually calls/draws/knocks to ALL.
EACH Man's spirit must accept or reject.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that
I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.
So CHOOSE LIFE in order that you may live, you and your descendants,

1 Chronicles 28:9...KING David to wise son Solomon
“As for you, my son Solomon,
know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind;
for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.
If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; BUT
if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

John 3:36...John the Baptizer on Jesus: CHOOSE
1. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; (BELIEVER)
BUT
2.he who does not obey (TO BELIEVE IN!) the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God abides on him.” (UN-BELIEVER)

John 1
11 He came to that which was His own, but His own did NOT receive Him.
12 Yet to all who DID receive him,
to those who BELIEVED in his name, he gave the right to become "children of God"
— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but "born of God"

DWELL

1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that (believers) you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God DWELLS in you?

2 Timothy 1: 8-14 (NASB)
... for the gospel according to the power of God,
who has saved us and CALLED us with a holy calling,
not according to our works,
but according to His own purpose and grace
which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, (hidden) BUT now has been REVEALED by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
...Guard, through the Holy Spirit who DWELLS in us,
the treasure which has been entrusted to you.

Romans 8:9
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,
he does not belong to Him.

post #17..."God obviously changed His mind.."

False. God is unchangable and unchanging...immutable.
His METHODOLOGY / ECONOMY to Man of relating CHANGED:

OT: through His Chosen people
NT: through Jesus the Divine Messiah's completed work on the Cross to all who choose to believe.

Romans 8(NASB)...ALL BELIEVERS: Deliverance from Bondage of sin and death
1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life IN Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did:
sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us,
who do not walk according to the flesh (sin nature) but according to the Spirit.
5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,
but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death,
but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God;
for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

Hi ,
I am reading Derek Prince's teaching about curses. He thinks even for saved chrisitans, the curses from your ancestors may pass down to you. Symptoms like, poverty, chronicle disease, barren, could indicate that you are under a curse. And you need a deliverance prayer to release the curse over you.
My question is, Aren't we released from all curses once we are saved by Jesus? How can the curses still affect us? I am not talking about the evil spirits and occult that attack us now, but sins of your ancestor or your family members. Thank you for discuss
Read Ezekiel chapter 18
It explains all this, I wouldn't pay any attention to anything but the word of God.

Please allow me to make my point clear. I do know that become a christian will guarantee that we will have a comfortable and wealthy life. There are hardships we must endure for the Lord, and we need to deny ourselves and carry our own cross everyday for Christ's sake.
BUT, the reason I post my thread here is, Derek Prince believed that The curse works on true chrisitians, that the curses on our ancestors like 4 generations ago still work on Christians. This is my questions. Thank you

You have answered your own question.

There are hardships we must endure for the Lord, and we need to deny ourselves and carry our own cross everyday for Christ's sake.

"generational" curses, 1, generation, 2, generations, 3, generations, 4, generations....
matters why? Everyone is different.

Look at Terah -

Josh 24
[2] .... Terah, the father of Abraham....served other gods.

Look a Abraham, the 1st generational offspring of Terah.

Rom 4
[3] For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Look at what God said.

Gen 26
[24] And the LORD ..said, I am the God of Abraham.

When a man believes God, God is His God, and regardless of what the man's ancestors believed or thought or how long ago, God is the God of a man who believes.

God Bless,

Curses do not work on true Christians, just backfires on the ones making the curse...

Sounds like the guy is trying to use the Message to make a buck. Such people do not know what they do, and should be prayed for.

But, they must repent in public for their in public teachings which were wrong.

They also must give away a major percentage of their funds derived from such false teachings to the homeless poor.

Otherwise, they find themselves under the very curses they teach exist against those who do not have them.

No, they don't work on strong true Christians. Do you think the Armor of God is something you sleep with? Do you think our warfare isn't spiritual and you have to 'suit up' every day before you 'show up'? Even Jesus told 'his boys' "This kind does not come out but by prayer and fasting." You might notice, that Jesus didn't then say; "Let's go do that, and then come back and take care of this situation." He lived the prayed up and fasted lifestyle. His disciples didn't fall asleep for the first time at Gethsemane....IMO.

Your judgment is only equaled by your spiritual discernment. He died many years ago. His teachings and books live on because you can't kill the truth. As far as 'making a buck' is concerned, welcome to the church. I support the only ministry I know of which isn't even tax deductible because he won't let his ministry be under the influence of the government....probably like your church and every other church I've ever been part of.

Otherwise, they find themselves under the very curses they teach exist against those who do not have them.
Actually you're wrong again. the curses only return to the ones who gave them, when the one who they are 'made against' is protected, as scripture demands. EG "the armor of God". But most ignorantly think armor automatically falls on the dumb sheep every morning.

EPH 6:13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

If a Satan worshiper has "done everything" and paid the price to Satan for demonic power, with sacrifice and suffering, he has power. And milk toast Christians are no match. They've showed up to a spiritual sword fight..NAKED. I've seen it all my Christian life.

Proverbs 26:2 Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, So a curse without cause does not alight.

I'm actually sorry for my harshness here, but for the sake of ignorant sheep, your post deserve a wake up call spiritually IMO.

Jesus was speaking of powerful spirit of a fallen angel.

I did not say there was no time we may not have to fast.

Your harsh tone here actually would make me want to fast, if I knew you. (For instance, if one of my friends or kids took such a tone with me -- which they never would.)

A curse is not the same thing as a fallen angel spirit in a human host.

Why mix up two matters which are entirely unrelated?

A curse is literally where one curses someone or something, and it works as a negative miracle.

As you find your self believing you are so superior to me, and I suppose, any Christian, feel free to post a curse here against me.

If a sinner can not curse a Christian, how on earth can a Christian - or anyone - curse a Christian?

Now, I ask you, if I am correct, I have no curse on me? Yes?

Or, do I have a curse on my self?

If I have no curse on myself, then my distinction was all important.

Your ''opinion' I'd say. Unless you have a scripture to share I don't know about.

I did not say there was no time we may not have to fast.
I never said you did.
Your harsh tone here actually would make me want to fast, if I knew you. (For instance, if one of my friends or kids took such a tone with me -- which they never would.)
Really?? You mean like the tone AND judgment you made of a man who's spiritual shadow was cast long before you apparently were ever born!!! I'd actually be surprised if you ever fasted more than than this Derek Prince, or for that matter, me In my 68 years of life.

A curse is not the same thing as a fallen angel spirit in a human host.
more 'opinion? Enlighten me with scripture please

I'll not address the rest of your post for obvious spiritual reasons to me for sure. And to others, with eyes to see, I can only hope.
