Read Zechariah 14:1-2 again. It describes a conquering. By the armies of the Anti-Christ leader of the OWG. THEY rejoice when the 2 Witnesses are killed.
Understand that the holy Land will be occupied by every faithful Christian by then. We see them in Revelation 5:9-10 and Revelation 7:9. Daniel 11:30-35 describes this time and how the Christians are split into 2 groups. They are again shown in Revelation 12:6-17.

The Islam and every other false religion will be no more after the Lord's Day of wrath. Ezekiel 30:1-5, Jeremiah 9:25-26, +

I believe the events of Zechariah chapter 14 happen after the wars against the Arabs. I doubt there will be any arabs at all in the army of the anti-christ. When it is over and the Jews of israel are totally decieved the Anti-christ will turn on them and kill many of them and he will call for reinforcements from the kingdoms of the east .. Probably China and India and amass a huge army on the plains of meggedo in Israel and thats when Jesus will return.. And will cause the army of the beast to turn their wepons upon each other and kill each other as stated in Zechariah 14 below..

Zechariah 14: KJV

12 "¶ And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. {13} And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour."

So the great army of the beast will be driven mad and they shall slaughter each other..

Daniel 9:27 tells us it is at the half way mark of one 'week' [7 years] of the seventy 'weeks', [490 years] that the AC breaks the treaty with new Israel.
The covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27 is not a peace treaty...and the seventy 'weeks', [490 years] have been fulfilled.

---The Biblical proof ---

3647 A.H. < Jerusalem destroyed by the Babylonians >
.....see details from the page link.....

Daniel 9:24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city…

Daniel 9:25

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks…

Daniel 9:27

… And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…

70 years after the destruction of Jerusalem God allowed the remnant to complete a second Temple. This is the beginning of the 70 “weeks of years”. [In the Hebrew text we find the notion for a “unit of 7”, here meaning a unit of 7 years instead of 7 days.]

The prophecy of Daniel is twofold:

First we find a number determining the time to the coming of the Messiah (7 weeks and 62 weeks). This time can be measured by man (according the word “Chronos” in the New Testament). On the other hand we recognize 70 “weeks of years” in a prophetic sense until the final state of the world (earth and heaven) is reached (Rev. 21 and 22). This time cannot be measured by man (according to the word “Kairos” in the New Testament).

Between these two numbers (69 = 7 + 62 and 70) there is a difference of 1 (week). This is the last “week of year”.

3717 A.H. < Beginning of the 70 “weeks of years” >

The beginning of the 70 „weeks of years“, according to Daniel, is associated with the command to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. There are 4 dates which could be the starting point:

- The 1st year of Cyrus (which has to be excluded because of the “70 years of rest” according to 2 chronicles 36:21)

- The 6th year of Cyrus (at the end of the building of the Temple)

- The 7th year respectively of Artaxerxes

- The 20th year respectively of Artaxerxes

Only the 6th year of Cyrus can be reached by a year specification of the Scripture (i.e. 70 years after the destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple). Therefore, this year is the starting point of the 70 “weeks of years”. [The 7th and the 20th year respectively of Artaxerxes, can only be determined by the profane historiography and not by the Scripture. Therefore, these dates can be excluded. Please note that after the completion of the Temple (in Ezra 6:14) the order is given by the “God of Israel” and not by the kings.]

3647 + 70 = 3717

4200 A.H. < Ending of the 69 “weeks of years” >

Daniel 9:25

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two week: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

3717 + (7 + 62) * 7 = 4200

4200 A.H. < Messiah >

The end of the 69 “weeks of years“ is the beginning of the time of the Messiah.

The OT Book of Daniel in chapter 11 it talks about two evil warring Kings .. The King of the North and the King of the South. Daniel calls both these kings evil kings. I believe this series of wars shall happen before the return of Jesus.. I believe the king of the south will be seen by muslims to be their Mardi and they will see the king of the North as being their version oour anti-christ.. The book of Daniel sasy that the jewish people will rejoice because the king of the north will eventually destroy the king of the south and cause a great slaughter of the people of the middle east.

This slaughter is also mentioned in Ezekial 32 verse 17 to the end of the chapter..
I can't imagine a Muslim celebrating someone who takes idols from the King of the North:

Now history tells us all about this. It tells us he took 40 thousand talents of silver, 2,500 idol statues, and it goes on and on. And even Callinicus died because he fell off his horse. And there's an interesting note there, I'm just trying to think where it is, yeah, at the end of verse 8, it says: "The king of the south shall continue more years than the king of the north." And that is exactly what happened. Callinicus fell off his horse, died and the one in the south continued four more years. (The Reign of Rebellion, Part 1 Daniel 11:1-35, Grace To You)
There could be some correlation to end time events but this one looks historically fulfilled.

Well Daniel is tricky like that, some is historical, some futuristic and strangest of all, sometimes it's both. History has a tendency to repeat itself, especially in prophecy. I certainly see where your coming from with this even though I would look at it a little differently.

Revelation 1:7
"...every eye shall see Him...all kindreds of the earth shall wail..."

and when did John see that happen - 6th seal
and what did Jesus Christ tell happens after the tribulation?
the tribes of the earth shall mourn

in the 6th seal - they try to hide - and cry out
What John is telling us is what happens early in the tribulation. After the sixth seal they are cowering in fear, after the vials of wtarh they are standing in defiance. In the battle of armaggedon they actually intend to fight, but it's over quickly.

Zechariah 14 shows a great tumult. It won't happen until after Armageddon and Israel has returned to her land -dwelling safely. Gog will attack later - as a great tumult and then the 1000 years will start. Those of the nations that are left - from the war where weapons/ swords are against their own neighbor - will be required to come to Jerusalem to worship the King and keep the feast of tabernacles.

People do not get confused and slay their own brother at Armageddon - the people are slain by the Lord.

The Gog Magog attack happens at the end of the 1000 years.. Not before it..

Revelation 20: KJV
7 "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, {8} And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. {9} And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. {10} And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

The battle of Armageddon is finally settled by the return of the Messiah. However, before he arrives the armies of the Antichrist are fighting the kings of the east, primarily the Asians I think. You have to understand, sin hates God, these children of perdition want to fight God and the Antichrist has convinced them they can win, it's over quickly. That lie, that powerful delusion, is cast with them along with death and hell into the lake of fire that burns forever.

East is east and west is west and never the two shall meet as the saying goes. But the angelic host that has held back the kings of the east is no longer restraining them. In that final battle the kings of the east lose but the ones who survive submit to the Antichrist agreeing to fight with him.

I believe the Ezekiel prophecy is revealing the same war as what is revealed in the Revelation 20...

The description of Israel in Ezekiel 38 does not describe the Israel if today but an idealistic Israel during the 1000 year reign of the LORD Jesus Christ..

In Ezekiel 38 we read::

Ezekiel 38: KJV
8 "¶ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. {9} Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. {10} Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: {11} And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,"

Who is going to visit Gog and Magog ? satan who will be released from the bottomless pit after the 1000 years...

Now is Israel today a land where people dwell without Walls without Gates and security bars? No on the contrary today's Israel is criss crossed with walls, people living in walled communities with security gates and with bars on their windows.. Now in the kingdom of the 1000 years will people be living in a society where they will need no walls or gates or bars on their windows? Yes indeed..

The Israel of today::
