"China, Eritrea, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Syria were ranked “extreme” in the scale of anti-Christian persecution. Egypt, India and Iran were rated “high to extreme,” while Turkey was rated “moderate to high.”

This is not good news.

I was surprised to read from the link how bad China was. I thought China would be more civilized now.

"In China, church communities face increased hostility. Authorities in some provinces have removed crosses from some churches and destroyed church buildings. In some regions, Christmas trees and greeting cards have been banned.

Christians crushed by steamrollers? That's Demonic. That's like the things which happened in the middle ages. Normal human beings don't get these ideas. The Dragon is making war on the woman's offspring now. This is not normal, it's demonic hate.

"There are reports from North Korea of forced starvation of Christians and forced abortion. Some Christians have been hung on crosses over fire, and others have been crushed by steamrollers.

This matches my schematic. The beast's authority began technically in the summer of 2015. 1290 days until the "darkened" sun and a moon that will not give it's light.

“In 12 of the 13 countries reviewed, the situation for Christians was worse in overall terms in the period 2015-17 than within the preceding two years,” said the report’s executive summary, released Oct. 12.
I think this is it. Hunker down, buckle up, keep the Sabbath or do whatever you have got to do. I don't think we have too much time left.

So was tearing people apart limb from limb, putting them in pots of oil, drowning them, burning them at the stake, perpetrated by Christians on other Christians. It happened in the most civilized nations.
To me that was far worse and demonic than what we see today perpetrated by unbelievers and religious extremists.

The main focus of the report is in the ME, unsurprisingly. Even increasing rates of genocide against Christians are not enough to convince the post-modernists that there is a problem in Islam today, that has nothing to do with the power of the patriarchy.

China is an interesting case. At one point, China was almost converted to a Catholic country, through the Jesuits. Internal Vatican politics in Europe resulted in a recall of the Jesuits from the Imperial Courts of China, and this was perceived as an insult that the elites of the Imperial court never forgave. Ever since, Chinese have been very suspicious of outside interference from Rome, and they view any organizations that are outside of their sphere of influence to be subversive. Falun Gong is the biggest of these kinds of organizations, but Christianity is growing very fast in China, and the government fears losing control. It is not so much the message that the Chinese government loathes, but the potential for organized resistance to their ironclad grip on power.

Vietnam, which I do not recall being mentioned in the article, hates Catholicism because Catholicism is associated with French colonialism. North Korea is communist, and its leadership is so unhinged that sadistic enjoyment of torturing people for the sheer fun of it is as a good a description as any of what is going on there.

For the rest of the countries on the list though, it is the rise of Islamists that are driving the hatred. They look to the post-Christian modern world, and see nihilistic lack of believe as their future too, if they do not do anything about it. In doing so, they have ironically entered the modern world, where totalitarianism has been a common response to being overtaken by the nihilism of godless disbelief. Islamism is following in the footsteps of the communists and the fascists totalitarian systems that can tolerate no viewpoint or individualism outside of the official lines of truth that they impose. Genocides of those outside of the official viewpoint inevitably follow. It could be Jews, it could be landowning farmers, it could be people with glasses, or just people in general like the twenty of so million murdered by Mao, but our days are the days of nihilism and genocide.

We live in the centuries of genocide.

I agree. Back in 1977 I became acquainted with a Christian couple who were about 30 years older than me. He was born in China to Christian missionaries. They were there for several years but eventually had to flee that country. He said the same things that you are about the governments fears.

Just the same old Christians did it too nonsense.
Nope, I was addressing demonic activity only and end times prophecy. When satan can influence the Christian church I see that as a much more serious problem, more demonic if you will.

Europe back in the Foxe Book days, back in the middle ages, might have been civilized, but the saints were being given into the Dragon's hand. During that time, we saw the type of sadistic brutality and torture which seems to be more extreme than any simple murder or execution. There is a certain level of hatred when Lucifer goes after God's people that is not normally observed in a usual crime of passion. These brutal Dark Age stories had the Dragon's fingerprint all over them.

"Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Fast forward 217 years and we have a new report claiming "Christian persecution is “worse than at any time in history,” and "Anti-Christian persecution in the worst regions has reached “a new peak,” and its impact is “only now beginning to be felt in all its horror.” We are now reading about Christians crushed with steamrollers and Christians hung on crosses over fires, I think it is very reminiscent of the evil inspired activities during the last time that the saints were given into the beast's hand. And many are expecting an end time occurrence of this to take place again before the second coming. This could be the start of it.

Sorry if I scared you, man.

To date, I can't think of a system that has wrought more evil on people than Marxism. From Stalin's purges of the Orthodox in the USSR, through the Viet Cong persecuting Catholics in Vietnam, to Pol Pot, and Mao's China, in the name of rationalism, Marxism destroys and murders all that generate loyalties to anything outside of allegiance to the State.

It is an ideology that could only come to the fore with widespread disbelief in Christianity. The very structures of our human creation are founded in our need to believe, and Marxism becomes attractive when the richness of the Catholic cosmology, with our angels and demons, and our Trinity, and heaven and hell, all become distance memories hollowed out of all meaning. It is only when the beauty of a Cathedral loses all context that it can be used for something "rational" and "practical" like keeping grain away from the elements.
Marxism is a hollow ideology that lacks depth and beauty and pretends that anything that the senses cannot detect therefore does not exist.
North Korea is not the exception when it comes to Marxism and the murder of the remnants of the faithful; North Korea's latest Killing Fields are the rule.

No apology necessary, you didn't scare me. We just see demonic activity in a different away. I expect it from the world, satan is the god of this world. But when he can infiltrate the church, that's a whole different level of power being handed over to him. I doesn't scare me, it's makes me angry, fighting angry.
