When it’s all said and done, scientists are as clueless as common people and can only speculate as to the details of “how” God brought about our existence. Yet, they ardently defend their scientific interpretations about “what is” and “what isn’t” until they finally leave the world just as mysteriously as they came... and then wondering “why”. God did it, the bible says it, and despite all our learning we will never fully understand His works. He’s God.

How is it that the common people knew the universe had a beginning long before "modern" scientists came along and discovered the universe had a beginning?

By the same token, how is it that the common people knew the universe was expanding long before "modern" scientists came along and discovered the universe is expanding?

Did "modern" scientists really discover it? or are they just confirming something that was already written in a [book] they don't want taught in school?

Without that [book], they can claim they discovered it; rather than [embarrassingly] have to claim they are only really confirming it.

Learn what science is. Your post makes no sense.

I think that you may be taking the text of Genesis too literally.

Current thinking is that it is Moses who wrote the first five books of the Bible (including Genesis).
Could be, God spent a lot of time with Moses on Mount Sinai, so He must have revealed it to Moses.
Another theory is that Noah took old writings along in the Ark.
That's a long time for information to be accurately handed down ...
Ah, the telephone game analogy? ;)
to detail anything other than the general belief that God CREATED the universe (i.e. heavens and earth).
I doubt they would 'sloppy copy' such important things.
You begin to run into problems when you try and take the text that literally (numbers don't match up, etc.) ...
Opinions vary.

That’s a pretty massive assumption. How do you know all that?
It makes sense though, doesn't it?
In fact it's rather likely that God taught Adam things, and Adam asking God questions.

I agree that it’s not that big of an assumption; God must have talked with Adam quite a bit beforehand... why else would he have hid from Him when he heard Him coming.

It would also depend on how much time there is between Genesis 2 and Genesis 3.
Maybe Genesis 3 happened already on the 7th day, when God rested.
His rest would have been disturbed, which seems to be consistent with God being else where when the temptation and the eating of the forbidden fruit of the tree happened.
I don't know (of course).

Not that part, the part where God and Adam existed at all and that the Bible is an accurate record of events between them. I'm looking for the justification of all that, then we can move on to whether it makes sense.

A good point anyway. I guess I had always thought of “The Fall” as happening somewhat later than the Creation week.

Well that’s just your belief. Got any reason for it?
What's the alternative? Moses wrote it?

And since Moses wrote it, it is inaccurate due to retrospective falsification?

No, thanks. I'll stick with Adam writing it.

Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

Well gee, there has to be existence that god exists first before asking how god brought about our existence would be a valid course of thought.

Yet, they ardently defend their scientific interpretations about “what is” and “what isn’t” until they finally leave the world just as mysteriously as they came...
Nah, in physical terms, death isn't all that mysterious, considering that the only continuous mystery about it is whether or not it's the end of a person's experiences entirely. We know plenty of why and how it happens.

There’s always “we can’t really determine that so I don’t know.” It may be uncomfortable, but it’s honest. If you can’t show it you don’t know it.

So Moses didn't write it either?

There doesn't appear to be any direct evidence as to the existence of Moses. Whether he was invented as a result of the conflation of earlier oral traditions or not seems to be open to debate.

Again, there seems to be no evidence supporting the stories about Moses either : no Hebrew slaves in Egypt, no exodus, etc etc.

So, no, it seems that Moses didn't write that part of the Bible.
