Has anyone watched this series? It's pretty good! I was actually recommended to watch this series from someone in Deviantart. This series has some pretty cool pieces of music as well, if anyone is curious or interested.

It was an interesting watch, though it probably got a bit too intellectual for its own good in the end. Also, it wasted one of the best characters in terms of the reality manipulation ability they had, especially since it was vague as to her involvement near the end with a certain twist that happens.

There was always a good concept with the mixing of all these characters from radically different genres and stories, but it just didn't execute very well. The characters were pretty good and fleshed out mostly well. It's more how the story doesn't seem to do as well in contrast

Yeah, I have to agree with you there about the plot/stories not really being well fit together. Not like SAO. But it still kinda fit in a way that if you had to save the world in just a short amount of time, but yeah, I know. Anime.

I'm not too sure how you mean about being "too intellectual" though. Do you mean Magane's character?

It's pretty good so far. It reminds me of "orange" in terms of alternate realities, (but also not at the same time) and sort of like the fate series in terms of the heroic spirits.

It's not Magane, she's more logic bending in how you need to consider things a bit backwards to understand how her power works.

The intellectual aspect is more the whole investigation into the notion of these creations and creators and how you can change the creations by creators, but also the viewers/readers in popularity. Fate is more popular by comparison, because the premise at least is somewhat simpler, from what I understand, the complexity is in character abilities and the fights

The series took place over maybe...2-3 months? It's also weird how they did the whole planning for stuff into 2017 in universe.

Yeah, it reminded me of that too. Also Fushigi Yuugi in a sense as well.

Oh I see now. Yeah, I kinda like those types of plots, however, there's gonna be plot holes.

I'm actually thinking of going into this series. Could you give me some of good points/bad points this anime has?

I mean, I've been spoiled on some character's deaths thanks to Facebook, but I guess I could give it a shot...

It's only remarkable in particular twists, though yeah, a lot of deaths happen near the end, not so much the one roughly in the middle or early 1/3. The dynamics between the characters are fine and we get that sense of meta with these characters changing by interacting with their creators. The fighting scenes are done well and give a sense of balance in terms of the varying powers.

The bad points would be stuff that's arguably necessary for it to make any cogent sense, the density of things needing to be explained as they theorize how things work with the main villain's plan. Also, one could say the involvement of the protagonist we're introduced to as an "observer" is basically that up until the latter part when he suddenly starts to have more agency, which I can see as being the point. Arguably this whole series could've been trimmed down, though with how it ends in an arguably deus ex machina fashion against an overpowered antagonist, you'd practically have to do that or write in a flaw to be exploited otherwise.
