I tried them...they didn't work for me..neither did physical activity...it just made it worse

Theres more that could be said, but to move on from this subject I will apologize to anyone offended by my comment even though I was not promoting abuse of any type but simply saying that distractions of a physical nature can lead to a reduction in anxiety. I'm done here.

Let me try and get this thread back on track...I enjoy getting a decent workout in after a long day, and then finding a good Scripture verse that sheds some light on something in my life, or something I can contemplate on (the former I slack off sometimes, I can't lie.)

I've suffered from anxiety from a child. There are different degrees of anxiety, and a level of anxiety that includes racing thoughts is one of the worst. Aside from high doses of magnesium to bring you down, very little can be done, and in such cases any strenuous activity will almost always make it worse. :-/

On an average day...being able to read a good book,spend time with God and pray. On a workday, coming home to a quiet room, sleep, prayer, and a good book. Oh, and my mom's homecooked meals :3

This thread took an ugly turn...

My highlight of the day is studying the Bible at random. Sometimes I might be going through the Book of Revelation, other times I might be going through Genesis and just googling everything and reading about it.

It's fun!

Next to the Bible ofcourse...one book i highly recommend, is Seeking Allah Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi.
Another is The Anxious Christian by Rhett Smith.I got lots more, i can message you

Sure, I'll have to check them out. Honestly, the only religious books I've read besides the Bible are "The Battle Plan for Prayer" by last name Kendrick and "The Power of Being Thankful" by Joyce Meyer (which is just daily devotionals but very nice.) Other than that, I'd have to go back to middle school when I was heavy into the "Left Behind" series.

It did take an ugly turn...but At least its over.

I love Joyce Meyer's books , I like power thoughts and the love revolution.

I most look forward to my time at night when I do
my bible study homework,and spend some time with God.I spend time
with God throughout the day too but am most relaxed to do bible study stuff at night.
