• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I'm tired of the wicked prospering while righteous people like myself suffer for naught...

Be careful placing yourself above others. Have self worth, but don't put others down to do so.

Self worth? Thanks but you're not making any sense. Can you please explain?

Self esteem. Liking yourself. Being proud of yourself and accomplisments.

What accomplishments? I have accomplished nothing in my life worth talking about

Just an example of what self worth is. It all boils down to liking yourself.

But not placing yourself above others ("righteous like me") and putting others down ("wicked like them").

Religious, wealthy, political and well educated people seem to do this a lot firefly. Don't they? This thinking themselves better than others bit.

However to have liking for self because it is good to like, is healthy as far as i'm concerned.

The religious do this the most often in my experience. No offense. But a lot of religious people (not just Christians, but Muslims too) look down on gnostics and atheists and either decide to have nothing to do with that person or as someone to convert for Heaven Points.

But atheists are like that too. And nobody wants a calm and rational discussion or even view each other as equals, not some disease ridden person who is set out to destroy everyone.

No offense at all. i don't consider myself religious i hate religion for drawing the lines as they have historically, as well as presently, and i'm sure religion will do in the future, especially distorting Jesus' teachings as religious people love to do upsets me.

Awoke feeling very sick. A loved one died yesterday and i been having her around talking to me despite being on anti-psychotics ever after i heard the news.

It seems so cruel how that goes. For in my psychotic mind it seems like she is stuck down here. i never thought of it like that until she came around and was so angry with me all the time. i couldn't understand why she would be angry all the time, we got on really well together. And then i heard the story about her death unfold later on. They are keeping her heart going, for she is an organ donor, until they can take the organs they want and need them.

My loved one being so angry all the time began to make more sense after that though i have never thought of us being trapped down here because our spirits are tied to our living bodies and cannot depart until our body lets go, i do now and never want to be a donor or my loved ones keeping the machines going after i have passed away. NEVER! it is so very confusing to have her come around like this all the time and i truly feel very spooked out at the moment.

I'm sorry that your loved one has passed away, @Jeshu....do you think she was visiting you to say goodbye on her way to heaven? or are you saying you hear her voice speaking to you every day currently, and she is angry?

Is there anything that comforts you when hearing voices?

I just heard the Star Spangled Banner and My Country tis of Thee in minor key. They sound so haunting. Apparently when slavery was going to abolished, someone re-wrote My Country tis of Thee to celebrate the potential future of it being abolished. It's on YouTube by Chase Holfelder.

My loved one was angry that she was still down with me in my heart and i kept apologizing saying i loved her and would never let her go and she told me i had tor so it seemed in my psychotic mind at the time.

When my wife told me at the end of our day that she had been kept going on life support awaiting a donor but that she was brain dead and therefore really was dead all that time, things finally began to make sense.

Things have calmed down for i have dramatically increased my meds for a bit to escape the voices and my mind has calmed down a lot. In the mean time our loved has full passed away - sometime that evening i was psychotic. I battled with the voices till well into the night tho, that is the problem with lies spoken in our minds and knowing makes such a difference in how i deal with all that.

Now i'm just grieving, hurting her dead in our lives but at peae about her for i know she loved Jesus we have discussed Him, praised and marveled at Him often enough together to know she got there first, even feel a little envious that this is so.

Luckily for her she died instantly from a massive stroke and probably never knew what hit her on the way out. I know she is at peace now and so am i, just hurting her loss.

The things that comforts me with my voices is that Jesus almost always makes something good out of bad and something beautiful out of ugly. My psychoses have been very much like that. For although i suffer them intensely at the time i'm sick - after a few years Jesus will have made something from that experiences that is flabbergasting, or it has been like this in my life many a time. He turns everything upside down and inside out and makes crooked straight and straight crooked. Amazing beholding how He does that.

Splitting Sheep From Goats.
He Asked...
Can you please split with wrong without using fission?
Depart from wrong without that terrible destruction?
No mushrooming nucleus splitting governing your reactions?
Getting away from unleashing such destructive energy?
And running the constant risk of melt downs as well?

He Asked...
Why keep chain reacting poisonous death around?
Let the name satan be so very true in your life?
Watching the liar trailing wormwood on his way down?
Making your fresh water becoming deadly to drink?
Stuck in that black hole as your desolation within?

He Asked...
Why leech toxic pollution into your inspiration?
Why let that beast ruling number your inner being?
Why exercise mind control and retain a guilty conscience?
Why burn a hole beneath your feet as you go down?
Why stay on the wrong side of God's eternal judgments?

I said...
Oh Lord what can I say to Your Voice of Truth?
Your Light of Day directs the path I walk by night
Perpetually Your Words of Love split right from wrong
without ever risking any meltdowns or explosions
Instead You energizing me as I fuse with Your Love.

@LoyalToGod I'm sure you've accomplished at least a few small things in your life. Having good self esteem has been helpful to me. I'm sorry that you feel people here haven't been helpful. Thinking of you. :groupray:

Disturbed.

I'm looking at animal welfare in Europe. And the horror stories I read in some countries makes me wonder if that entire continent is as great as Europeans like to boast it is. (It's not).
