Hey guys,

Thank you all for the precise and thorough comments you've all provided. I appreciate them all despite some of you missing the point of my thread.

What prompted me to create this topic was a simple statement made by someone else that totally ruined my mood that day and brought back all the negative memories of my childhood and growing up. Sometimes my emotions are easy to control, and sometimes I become an emotional wreck...

Anyway, I won't be replying to this thread anymore. Let's end the discussion here.

Why ? There are many here who have gone through and or are going through what you are. I reflect on negative things from my past easy, can be fairly often and I can be sideswiped by some comment too !! Overcoming that is a choice but it's an acquired skill, through closeness with the Lord. We all have a past brother, No one knows from where the other came unless we talk it out !

How is life fair?

Everyone is going through some minor predicament here and there, but not all of them are equal, and not all of them are predicaments at all. There are those who stride through this life with absolutely no worry or concern whatsoever as everything works in their favour, and there are those who suffer through perpetual exhaustion, pain and suffering because of something they have no control over. Life clearly plays favourites.

Take me for example -- I was born with a minor deformity that only became worse after I had a fatal incident as a toddler that changed my life for the worse. I had lost tons of blood and had to be rushed to the hospital to save my life, and when I woke up, my worst nightmare began - I became a victim of extreme verbal bullying all throughout kindergarten, grade 1-6, high school and onwards because of an incident that I had no control over. I've spent countless nights crying about it and wishing something would change, but all I heard was the sound of silence. No one was around to help. No one cared enough to alleviate the pain of my physical, mental and emotional suffering.

If I ever opened up to anybody about my issues, they would immediately start treating me with kid-gloves and this just made it even worse.

It's gotten so bad that I avoid all social gatherings such as weddings, birthdays and whatnot because I KNOW for a fact that I would get all sorts of wrong attention due to my injuries. In fact, I'm reminded on a weekly basis that I look ugly and weird by anyone that I come across, and because of this I have missed out on hundreds of special events out of fear of being judged. And When I do go out, I must cover up my injuries to avoid people noticing that something is physically wrong with me and this pains me more than ever. I don't know what it feels like to feel free in my clothing choices.

The last person I spoke to said my weakness glorifies God, but I don't get how that's possible. I'm useless; A wasted potential that can't do much and spends all day locked up in a room. What about me is of any use to anyone?

My depression and anxiety are at a all time high, my body is frail and weak, and I live in a never ending nightmare of bullying because of the way I look, and I doubt any human being would be able to help me at this point. Thankfully, I've rarely, if ever, thought of suicide as an answer to my problems. My dignity refuses to look at suicide as a solution to my suffering.

So, how is life fair for me when I can't integrate into society the way others can? Please don't give me the generic "We all suffer because of sin" because that just won't cut it. If that's the case, then some people seem partially immune to the full effects of the human "Sin Nature" then. What exactly did we (Everyone with similar issues) do to deserve this?

Someone must've turned off the light at the end of my tunnel.

I am sure there is one who could heal- not only your outer wounds but inner. And I am not going to pretend Christ did not have a gospel of healing miracles. You are right- life can seem unfair! I am not going to throw flowery words at you . The crux of the matter is you feel you are in a stinky place that NO ONE would choose for themselves! I will pray for you.

I was going to place here a post concerning such struggles, but I will make a thread concerning your very issue and others. There is to much to post here. I take Christ at His word. I believe in the supernatural and the effects it can have on our bodies. I will try to create the thread as quickly as possible concerning the Gospel of Healing. This is a touchy subject, for faith healing is just that, faith healing. I believe in what does not seem possible for most. I believe Christ when he says "if you say to this mountain be removed from your place" in faith, it is.

I am not afraid to tread upon serpents or go where most fear to go concerning miracles. I believe in the gospel of what others seem to view as impossible. I believe in the gospel of miracles. That is what you are seeking. And I will post that Gospel from Christ. Our faith is not just words but deeds and the receiving of spiritual gifts. Seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened. Those who seek find and those who knock it is opened to them. Christ told his disciples heal the sick, cleanse the lepers raise the dead cast out demons. St. Paul tells us to strive for the spiritual gifts. I do and believe in them .
So should all believers and followers of Christ.
I will make a thread to give strength to the Elect of Christ, for them to live the faith purposed for them.
1 Corinthians 12:1-31 please read.

I believe it should be closed.....Some of the religious are insensitive to others feelings. By no means should someone tell another, who is going through, to look at someone who is in a worse situation than they are.....This doesn't help at all. A man is dying of hunger...the religious says, In your weakness God is glorified? If we have no bread to offer.....we shouldnt offer anything at all. But most are too proud to consider that maybe they dont have sound advice for all situations....therefore turning people off from religion as a whole.

I'm going to break my promise real quick and respond to this thread again solely for this superb comment right here.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head with this one because this is exactly what it feels like to ask for advice from most religious people. Instead of addressing your concerns and providing you with useful tips and information that you could apply to your life, they'll quickly begin judging you for thinking or feeling a certain way or comparing you to someone else in a worse situation than you are. This never helps and only pushes people away from Christianity as a whole and I've seen it happen often.

If someone else's life is worse than mine, then what sort of advice and hope would you give them? Would you compare them to someone else who's worse than they are? This never ending comparison game helps no one and is only a temporary fix to an individual's problems.

Some of the comments have helped me understand what "Your weakness glorifies God" means now, and I thank them for that. That's the sort of help I need and appreciate because it changed my view of the world and how God operates. He's always around and ready to lend a hand in every situation, as long as we trust in his ways.

As one of my few favourite verses says -
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

I love you. I love you for who you are. I love you for who you want to be, and not as others see you. I love the talents that he gave you, the heart he gave you. The life he gave for and to you. I hope the best for you. I have faith God will show just how truly special you are to him. I love you for the way your heart longs for God in all the things that you do. I respond with the love you forget. He made you perfectly, though you do not see how, but I do. He knew you before the world began. There is nothing wrong with you. To be quite honest, to be as committed to seeking God's face as you are, the world would be so fortunate. The ones who go through the worst times, are the ones God has the greatest plans for. God doesn't NOT see you. In fact, He knows the very number of hairs on your head. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. The world doesn't like you because God already chose you for himself. The world hates Christians and will do everything it can to destroy you. I hope to cheer you up, to lift you up. God brought me out of a dark place. Just as he will you. If you would like to learn more about it, I can show you how to be assured of salvation, a few verses may help, but start with just giving all your heart to him. See yourself as he sees you. As beautiful. As a work of art. I promise you will not go wrong. The holy spirit a spirit of power, not fear. He will give you the strength you need. I'm not replying to hurt you, or judge you, just love you. To share with you what God shared with me. John 9:25 ...whereas I was blind, now I see. With you, God gave you the ability to see, before you ever knew you could. Everything he does is for our good, just trust him. I know it's hard, and at times it seems impossible, I've been there. but its true. Our heart longs for God because we know that this is not our home. We are just pilgrims on our way to him. I encourage you to keep reading your Bible, it is his word. He talks to you all the time, you are just too busy talking to listen. 1 Kings 19:11-12 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. Psalm 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am God." Just be still and listen to what he is saying to you. Love you kiddo.

Just telling you the truth. God moved me to respond to you. He reminded me of the dark places I had been in, the kindness he showed me. So I showed you the same. The love he showed me. So I showed you the same. The walk of faith stays tough, no doubt, but it becomes more bearable, the more you put God on the throne of your life. It took me a long time to "see" all of it (which I will never be able to see all of it), but looking back at my own life, I saw God's hand at work the whole time, especially when I had messed up. It was really cliché too like that "footprints" painting. Not sure you are familiar with that, but I meant to ask you, do you have a bible of your own?

I may not feel the pain you are going through or pretend too. We all go through circumstances which are beyond our control. If you feel you are in tunnel and can see the light at the end of it, just walk towards it. Just be yourself, stop comparing others life with yours. Altogether be thankful. Almighty guides us all.

Not sure where or who's been telling you "life is fair".. I never heard that. The God of Abraham Issac and Jacob the Father of our lord and savior that also when He left ..gave us the sweet sweet Holy Spirit is real. And like Jesus said it is for His glory. And what my mother did and father though were never married.. did in fact effect had an effect on me. What I do and did and what my wife did and does ..did in fact effect OUR kids. It is never just RANDOM by GOD or was ever of or from God.

Yeshua/Jesus is real. And ALL not some ALL things are possible to them that believe. What so ever we desire when we pray.. we will not maybe not if GOD wants to of feels like doing it but we will receive. What ever we ask the Father.. what EVER we ask Him in JESUS name ..He might if He gets around to it.. feels like it.. NO WILL DO IT! IF we know GOD hears us when we pray we HOPE He has the time to see to hear.. NO! If we KNOW He hears us then we KNOW we have the petitions we asked for. If we doubt..we still have a chance to get something from Him...NO! IF we doubt let not that man think he will get ANYTHING from God. :) His WILL is His word.

We would be shocked at the number of believers in this world that do not have even a mustered seed of faith. We would have no problems at ALL if we really truly believed GOD can not ever lie. We were in fact born into sin. Jesus even said as they were taking Him "IF..IF.. this was my kingdom my servants would fight". Satan is the god of this world. So.. if we take JESUS at HIS word...if we read just Matt-John. or OT and the PROMISES there..if we just believe if HE said it HE WILL do it. If IF IF IF.. meaning.. we must make a free choice. If you KNOW Jesus can not ever lie. NOW go back and read what He told YOU not just the 12.. but who ever believes.

I do not share what I think or feel. I only share what I know. I am not His favorite. He does not give more time to me. I just KNOW.. and this knowing never came from some other preacher I watched on TV. For there was only 3+1 Channels. So I just read His word at 12+ and believed. I can not look at others in this world and then try to figure out GOD. I must by faith just trust HIM. If says.. believing in Jesus I will be saved. If He said ask the Father for the Holy Spirit.. if He said.. pray and give thanks in all things. If He said love each other and my enemys.. on and on. I just DO IT. I DONT have to hope He MIGHT keep His word. HE WILL!

So.. is that BIBLE ALL His word? Is HE really who HE said He was? Is not my word. I dont have to prove it. If I question or you do.. ASK HIM! If this GOD is so REAL if Yeshua/Jesus is REALLY who He said He was.. and loves this world and called YOU picked YOU before this world was.. ASK HIM! DONT BELIEVE a word I say.. ASK HIM! You read that word.. and what in the WORLD do you have to lose if you just TRUST and believe. Have faith.. if you get something wrong.. have faith ask.. Father if I am wrong in ANY of this change ME 1st.. in Jesus name. You seek the TRUTH. JESUS is the ONLY truth there is...

You are SO LOVED..He never forgot you..never gave up on you. He IS IN YOU WITH YOU!

Personally speaking, When I'm not reading the bible in a quiet place, I tend to do a lot of research and read commentary and so forth on the internet myself, but I always have a bible in hand to have a foundation for what I'm reading. It's helpful to have a physical copy so that you can always read it, anytime, anywhere, without getting online. I can't underscore the importance enough of quality time with the Lord. You can easily get distracted being online. I urge you to get a bible. That being said, I try to pick up an extra bible every time I go to the thrift stores, as they are a great place to find to find low-cost bibles and other resources. But if you have a few bucks, I would recommend a decent study bible, I use Schofield's King James Version. Keep him close. "Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you." (James 4:8)

Although true, I find using my phone to study the Bible to be just as effective. I plug my earphones in to listen to music and block out the surrounding sound, open up BibleHub website, and do my studies there.

Whatever is easier for all of us. :)

I find too may people nowadays plugged in to music and so forth, while studying the bible. When you were in school, did you have earphones on while listening to a teacher? Have you ever read a book and was able to really soak it in while listening to a song that you really liked? I always end up singing the song. As I said before, I can't underscore the importance of alone time with the Lord. No distractions. Open the book and let it carry you where it may. You'll find yourself in the same fire with Shedrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. On the battlefield before Goliath. In the garden with Jesus. As if you were there. That's what I mean. Don't read it like a book. Read it like you are listening to someone speaking. It is after all, God speaking, it's his word. It may be a small thing to do, but believe me, he uses those small things. You'll catch little things so small that most don't see. An example might be a punctuation, or something that isn't printed but is between the lines so to speak. Another reason why I would encourage you to get a physical copy. Helps you to read it from front to back to and really see the whole of it.

Luke 16
“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22“The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25“But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

That why am happy to be here, I seen so many encouragement here. God bless all of you richly.

Ok my beloved Fallingupwards, I thank God for yourlife. You are strong inside but is like you did not know this. One thing that we human being did not have power over is "which family are we going to be born." The family we are coming out from is only decided by God Himself without our contribution.

It's not you fault that you are born this way. Also, is not your fault that you have accident. At this point you can not change what has happen to you but you have the power through the Lord to change the cause of your life. I think this is for a purpose. You need to find out the purpose of God for your life. May be someone have never been able to encourage others that have been in your position before but God want to used you to blessed and encourage others through you. Romans told us that expectation of the world are waiting for your manifestation.

There is some thing big inside of you that the world is waiting for. If you want to stay inside or cover yourself for how long are you going to do this? I understand how people behave, but don't let their thought/talk about you pull you down. Take their words as compliment. Accept yourself. Don't let anybody pity you rather let them accept for who you are. Be strong.

Although you have a point in that regard, I still find it easier for me personally to do my studies over the phone. This way I can tune out from all the noise and negativity around me and focus on my digital bible. There's really no difference between holding a book or a phone to study the word. :)

Thank you for your positive message, Bigork. You're a wonderful human being and I wish all the best for you. We all need more encouraging words such as this to keep us going because there's so much negativity around in this day and age.

God bless you!
