Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome.

The need of spirituality and especially guidance is essential to humans. Without it there is no sanity period

I am very happy that I left the cult Islam. Muslims are victims of terror. They are on the frontline of Islamic fundamentalist.

Understanding the beginning of Islam.

The time of Muhammed, the Arabs where fighting each other nothing changed till this day, they faced a bigger threat then themselves. He defeated every tribe the use of violence “Jihad” was allowed “the end justifies the means”. Muhammed was the best general of his time he fought many battles and led many invasions on Arab land. We all need to understand and appreciate history and treat it for what it is.

Submission

To be accepted as a Muslim and enter Heaven you have to pray 5 times a day. What disturbed me the most is that we never find relief or unconditional love, if we don’t pray 5 times a day and bow and kneel. Why would you ask that of someone, that supposed to love you? Is this an example of humility? No this sounds more like a military strategic thinker who want to sustain the power of authority.

Haram Police

It was 1989 when we came to The Netherlands united again with my father he left Morocco before my birth. This is where all the restrictions began it had nothing to do with Moroccan culture, everything with Islam. My parents found themselves in a difficult situation. In whole of Europe there is a problem with Islamic societies, they love to preach to the choir, and test your loyalty. Muslims are required and instructed by the Quran to give advice and to avoid which is forbidden (Haram). I watched my own family, friends, neighbors, culture how Islam affected them in a negative way. A lot of Muslims are suffering. The ones like me live years in denial, because we are afraid of isolation. I pray for them, hoping they do the same by accepting Jesus as their Savior.

Barabbas or Jesus of Nazareth?

The mocking and condemning of Jesus never ended he is the most insulted person since the beginning of time. When Muhammed gets insulted Muslims rage, out of love for the Prophet. That's why I think Islam will fail. Islam did not start with love, compassion and understanding. I ask myself what is so Holy and Devine about his teachings. There is no inspiration, guidance and philosophy like Jesus Christ. Every struggle in my life when I needed a mentor the most I failed to find it in Muhammed.

The Bible verses that opened my eyes.

John 8:7

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Matthew 26:52

Then said Jesus unto him, put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Matthew 5:44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Luke 23:34

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Welcome to the forums. I am new here as well and need to post myself one of these as well.

In regards to reading I'd suggest taking a read through and pay attention to certain topics.
Make of a list of the topics you'd like to piece together and start taking notes after an initial read through.

As always, ask God to guide you through the scriptures and He will.

God bless and peace be with you.

ever think about registering to change your name to something amenable ?
it does help out to distance yourself from the person that reflects that name.

Since my childhood the teachings of Jesus has always intrigued me. I have this craving hunger for the word of God, I am here to talk to others who know and experience God. I dont have any support from friends or family. I live in the Netherlands the majority of the Dutch are agnostic or devoted atheist.
There will be an follow up, explaining why I left Islam and how I lived without believing in God.

I hope for your understanding,

Mohamed
