The pattern in the Acts and the Epistles for the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is that they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues and received power to be His witnesses
I don’t wish to raise the cup of contention, but shouldn’t I ask? Are you sure it wasn’t both pattern and interruption; being that form ‘a dove’ couldn’t baptize out of obscurity for those looking for Him in general as well as those who interrupt all order to request it in unison specifically?

In that vein, my own post (#19) shows my own past AOG conformity and we were not to contest it, which again, is possible but presents itself as God’s mentor as though God must function in like manner as recorded.

But the reverse is also true for those who insist we pray out of tradition, or general obscurity. God is the Baptizer for those in one accord and those in the solitary wilderness.

I believe Pentecostals have come to grips with this. Has the Lord's imparting understanding on this eluded any of us?

Yes many are eluded, but all believers are included

The Holy Spirit who is also God, isn't fully appreciated in my view, it’s impossible. He simply exceeds man's ability to appreciate Him worthily, adequately. Yet, down through the ages has inspired and enabled all at every varied walk with wisdom and sustenance, ‘the just and unjust’.

But then there are those whom take a better direction by trusting with the heart to prefer to keep his mind stayed on Him. Men do this today and receive blessing from God in spiritual strength when they receive the "good news" of salvation through Christ and believe on Him without wavering.

At this point, we are brought into a full cascading of divisions which I believe are a central problem in and of itself over this one particular item.

The ‘union’ or Baptism of the Spirit ‘into Christ’, and the ‘Baptism of the Spirit’ into a supernatural capacity are two very close but obviously very different endowments.

The Author and finisher of our faith is also the author of the Holy Ghost Baptism and was the only one to reserve that baptism for himself until the day of Pentecost which was said to be upon or within Him “without measure”. ‘All we like sheep’ who have turned away yet some of which sampled the Holy Spirit’s power and influence cannot lay claim to such a measure.

‘The promise is for all who are afar off’

'Mary was 'filled" with the Spirit before Jesus was born, but she was baptized in the Spirit 33 years later at Pentecost.
(Luke 1:41-56; Acts 1:12-2:4)'

If it came to be that we of the adoption of that 'union' decided to wage into all that the disciples had by the Spirit before that day of Pentecost, we would be here all night detailing everything they did prior to receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, they were also supernatural and insightful things. For it was said in the scriptures they were, ,
"Anointed" to preach
teach
cast out demons
baptized others in water
kept God's word
had eternal life
experienced spiritual revelations
received the "glory" of God
learned to pray
healed people
were "branches" and in the "vine", ,

, all before being baptized in the Spirit.

Good point,'rock'. They were able to do those things while Christ was with them, under His authority. When He went away He sent the Holy Spirit to continue the work He started and give His followers power to do the same.

'Christ plainly taught that such an enduement was necessary to confirm the word of God (Mark 16:20;Hebrews 2:3,4); to continue the things "that Jesus began to both do and teach"(Acts 1:1,2;Matthew 28:20); to make successful witnesses (Acts 1:8); and to prove men to be true believers and divinely sent to represent God (Mark 16:15-20; John 14:12).'

Although we are to lead “quiet and peaceable lives”, it isn’t meant to be in willing absence of being “strong in the Lord and the power of His might”.

“If the chief purpose of the Spirit-baptism is to endue men to accomplish what is stated, , then it is the all important experience of believers today if they want to be successful in gospel work. Jesus commanded His disciples to teach all nations throughout this age “to observe ALL things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt 28:20). That being baptized in the Spirit it still is commanded of men, for we are still in this age. Such an enduement of power for service is promised to every believer in the most simple language possible (Matt 3:11; Lk 11:13; 24:49; John 1:31-34; 7:37-39; 14:12-17, 26; 15:26; 16:13-15; Mk 16:15-20; Acts 1:4-8; 2:16-21, 38-39; 5:32; 19:1-7).

Do Scriptures Back Away or Include Enduement?

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
(Galations 3:14)

One simple can’t say the promise is narrowly confined to salvation with regard to all Holy Spirit referencing towards this age of the Church.

“ἵνα … ἵνα … Two gracious purposes of the Redeemer are here coupled together: (1) the extension of the blessing to Gentiles as well as Jews; (2) the outpouring of the Spirit upon those that embraced the faith of Christ.” - Expositor's Greek Testament

"For one to receive this power today is even more needful, for there are infinitely more demon possessed people, more sick and diseased people, more false doctrines, more false teachers, and more divisions among Christians than at any other time in history."

Very true. How we need all that God has promised
