It's dishonest because you can't stand when I say ANYTHING about your precious Obama. If I say ANYTHING about your precious Hillary. You guys try to come at me acting like you have all the moral authority in your back pocket, you have all the empathy, love and tolerance about you...but you show none of it. No grace. No mercy. No understanding. No kindness. No honesty. I have yet to see that from ANY democrat on this forum.

You just mindlessly attack Trump day after day after day for things YOUR OWN CANDIDATES were horrible at. You want to call Trump a racist, but were fine supporting Hillary who called black youths super predators? You say Trump is a rapist, but was fine with Slick Willy going back to the White House and having major influence?

You talk about Trump's baffoonary and the way he speaks, but when I mention that Obama dropped an "F" bomb on live TV, the response was "that just makes me like him more!" You call Trump a liar, but Hillary and Obama lied, lied, lied, lied, and lied some more.

So, I don't get it. Not at all. You're hypocrites. You judge a man harshly you do not know. You've followed and supported candidates WORSE than Trump, but to you he's Hitler. Even the democrats now openly call him Hitler. The press doesn't even hide their bias anymore with their 91% negative coverage and ya'll think that's GENEROUS. Its ridiculous to me!

I defend a man I know isn't perfect, but I know he's been lied about and slandered too many times to count. He's had false news stories written about him by people out to destroy the man and his family. All you guys care about is him out of office. You don't even objectively question whether or not a source is right or if the story is a smear. You immediately eat it up, share it as if it was true, only to find out a few days later that it wasn't true and then it just disappears.

If you were a little more honest in your bias, showing NOTHING but hatred and disdain for the man, I wouldn't feel the need to defend him as much. I've said time and time again, I wish Pence was the president. If Trump decided to resign today, I wouldn't have a problem with it. At least I've admitted when I was wrong, have changed my position multiple times, and even sided with you all on issues.

But none of you offer the same courtesy. This is a stupid and petty story, but you just HAD to post it right? Another dig, another attack, like this even matters. You're trying to compare apples and oranges. This is NOT the same as standing for the national anthem. Trump is not a uniformed military person. He was in the middle of an interview. This is just a jab at Trump, nothing more. It's a "gotcha!" designed to do exactly what you accuse me of doing, and that's deflecting the attention back at Trump. He's winning this war, so anything to get back at him, right? Anything to attack him with.

I couldn't be more confused at the dizzying antics of the Saboteur Leftist class.
I know, the Left hates America, only people that are scream about disrespect to the flag while disrespecting the flag love the country.

What are you talking about? He did neglect to put his hand over his heart years ago.
I was pointing out that Obama was never a big stickler for patriotic displays. Not at all like Trump has been lately.

That's why him not having his hand over his heart isn't so surprising since he never once grilled anyone or especially not, called them SOBs for failing to show respect to the flag. Had he done that even once, he'd be hypocritical for expecting others to do what he himself would not do.

I was never taught to put my hand over my heart during the National Anthem, and I can easily believe he didn't know either.
Anyway, name-calling does not give you extra credit.
I wish I could take credit for the names Obama was called all these years but I actually liked the guy.

Have you ever gone to a friend's home and seen this poster?

Just because you do not believe kneeling or raising your fist does nothing, does not mean it does nothing, it actually does quite a lot. They used their platform to speak on a subject, which has helped elevate discussion of that topic. It also helps to embolden those who are oppressed to speak up.

Many people recognize that Colin Kaepernick was risking his career by kneeling, but many supported him because they believe that police brutality and racial inequality need to be addressed. Many of them feel it is important to stand up for what they believe. And despite 45 trying to "win the week" by distracting white people into believing this about the national anthem alone, people are going to move forward in addressing police violence. The current president is just a bump in the road on the way to reinstating consent decrees around the country.
Fine, people are behind him. But many more are against him. There's a reason why the NFL is now about to make it mandatory that players stand for the national anthem. If they want to risk their jobs and their platform just to be able to kneel during the anthem, that's on them. I have zero sympathy for them. The majority of the country is against the kneeling and it's nothing but an offense and an affront to their values. This doesn't open the conversation when you're ticking people off. They'd rather turn off the games, which is why the NFL is in a panic at the moment.

I don't really care about this but, well, if people disrespecting the flag makes them sons of female dogs according to Trump, what does that make him when he fails to show respect?

Say what you like about Obama. Just don't expect people to not point out when you hold Obama and Trump to different standards, nor when Trump seemingly holds himself to different standards than everyone else.

And here's some wild news for you... you ready? Not everyone pointing out Trump's and his follower's hypocrisies are necessarily either a leftist, nor an Obama supporter. There's still a few of us old school centrist paleocons who believe politics is about the issues, not cult of personality/ideological alternative fact based point scoring.

Well... me, John McCain and P.J. O'Rourke, but three counts as a few, right?

Trump sits, talks through song lowering the flag at military base amid NFL anthem controversy

..... Military site Task and Purpose was the first to notice Trump sitting during the song. According to Task and Purpose, uniformed service members are required to stop what they're doing and salute the flag as its lowered during the song while civilians are required to place their hand over their heart.

Trump not only does not stand or place his hand over his heart, but instead talks through the song and assumes it's being played to honor him or Hannity.

People watching the rally can be seen standing for the song in the background of Trump's interview but Trump seems to not know what the song means.

"Are they playing that for you or for me?" Trump joked to Hannity.

"They're playing that in honor of his ratings. He's beating everybody."

Trump sits, talks through song lowering the flag at military base amid NFL anthem controversy
****************************************************************
QUESTION: Would VP Pence have been justified leaving the flag-lowering ceremony on the base having witnessed the Commander-in-Chief not exercising proper respect?

Although this President received 5 deferrals to avoid military service during the Vietnam War, he did attend the New York Military Academy which one would assume conducted the flag-lowering ceremony on a daily basis!

Different song. Different rules. Different person. Again, you're comparing apples to onions here.

Well, whatever helps you feed your insatiable need to defend Donald Trump. I mean, you could just say that all the flag worship is a bit weird to begin with. But... that would be disagreeing with Trump.

Wait, this doesn't feed your insatiable need to attack him over every petty, dumb thing?
