As far as whether or not his recognition of the flag and actions thereof constituting disrespect or not - one would think it would be a simple logical connection that the guy over then entire armed force of a nation would be the
first one to model what it means to respect the flag. That is, if one is being honest. I mean, I remember Obama getting roasted for doing much less. Yet, Trump gets a pass. It's quite curious to me...
This is especially the case since he had so much to say about
people protesting the national anthem - and they were actually following the constitution to properly protest. They didn't run over anyone with a car to express their point.
It is
at best, irresponsible for a leader of a nation to act so lax around cherished objects of nationalism. In fact, it is hypocritical. And, to me hypocrites are absolutely disrespectful - because
they think they can freely insult one's intelligence by exploiting (un)plausible deniability.
