Where the two nationalities of each of the groom and bride mixed. Im jewish but Im mostly anglo saxon scottish and English lets say I was to marry a jewish young man what would a mixed wedding of anglo saxon ancestry and Jewish ancestry look like? or is that not done?
Im not worried about the future but just wondered.

I am a Jew who married a Gentile. Our wedding took place in an art museum and was officiated by a minister who was a friend of her family. There was nothing unusual about it, just a normal Protestant wedding. I certainly didn't care and we dismissed the minor objections from both sets of parents as bigotry. That was 48 years ago!

You can do what ever you would like. I have only been to one mixed wedding (normally I would have not gone but it was to support the parents who have been a great help to me). They had a Reform rabbi do the ceremony, and had all the traditional elements. I did not stay for the reception so I am not sure how they handled that.

If you are Jewish, meaning your mother is a Jew or you are a convert, none of the other ancestry matters should you marry a fellow Jew. Your children are 100% Jewish, just as you are 100% Jewish.

I am a Gentile married to a Jew. We had an rabbi and a Lutheran minister marry us but we had to search the whole state to find a rabbi who would be willing to be a part of such a thing. We were married in an art museum too though! At first I thought maybe my husband had been on here without my knowledge. But anyway we had a really amazing wedding.
