My random, deep dating thoughts

So rather than continue to make thread after thread after thread until half the forum is annoyed with me, I'm going to create a centralized one where I can post my deep, random thoughts about dating. You can post yours here too. Just nothing sexual because it seems to, as far as I can tell, kind of be against the rules.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is, I decided I like older women. The problem is, I find that "older women" 80% of the time don't like younger guys. So should I just stick to my age range?

Another thought. I am conservative. The problem with dating other conservative women is that many of them act outdoorsy and country, where I am not. The liberal women are more understanding of me and my condition, yet I don't want to fight with my potential Significant Other about politics. What to do?

No... I wouldn't. Actually, everyone in my family married significantly younger men than them.

As for conservatives, they may act outdoorsy and country, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will expect you to be the same way. A lot of people are attracted to their opposite. I am "outdoorsy and country" and I'm not necessarily looking for somebody who is the same way at all. I'd be more interested in somebody who is a little different than me, it would make things more interesting.

I think it's just a matter of finding the one for you. She might not be common but that doesn't mean she doesn't exist, just might be harder to find, and possibly looking for you too. Then again the only way to find out is to meet a real person, instead of just a theoretical ideal... just my thoughts on the matter.

This is going to make me sound like a weird person, but:

1. They are more motherly. I don't have huge mommy issues, but I still like that in a woman.

2. They know what they want better.

hm..my random thoughts about dating..in my own personal life..would be if I chose to 'date', I would pray for Him to either lead him to me or lead me to him. I wouldn't bother looking for them. Again, that's just how I would go about it if I were open to a relationship. I've heard so many stories about how people prayed to God about their future spouse to be led to them/visa versa and to pursue God in the process. It's amazing how God will work and deliver on that prayer in His perfect time.

My encouragement to you is not to lose heart. There is nothing wrong with preferring older woman. My boyfriend is younger than I am and a number of women in my family are older than their husbands. So, it's not impossible. As far as politics go, it's ok not to agree on everything just make sure what you disagree on isn't a major issue.
