5. Be appointed to a position in Trump's cabinet. What does the future hold for them?
1. Join a street gang.
2. Sell drugs.
3. Kill someone.
4. Be killed by someone.
Good thing we don't operate under them?
Then we would have to find something in the OC that is about respecting your elders.
Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, both in the law and in real life.
Wouldn't you want to be given it, in such a situation?
It is momentarily fascinating to consider the logic that argues that the solution to killing is more killing. And then, following reflection that the proponents of this solution are actually serious, one just feels a wave of pity.
Thankfully the laws of today do a better job with less prescribed brutality and more overall civility.
Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone. Maybe the courts should try to see,Why these terms kid would beat someone no reason. Therapy , community service. I don't think the kid should be stoned to death or throw them away like trash.
Nobody should be put to death. The very definition of big government is giving the state the power of life and death over its citizens, regardless of what they've done. We should join the rest of the civilized world and abolish the death penalty.

Ah, it only took 18 posts to reveal this thread is supposed to be about black people and giving kids the death penalty for committing crimes. I guess since Brock Turner and Ethan Couch would be ruined by prison, we should not punish (or execute) these kids.
I didn't need to see a picture of one of them to know that this was done by black kids. It's their m/o.
There is no "doubt" that they beat this family. The question was over whether it was intentional.
What will happen is they will be charge them. They will get no treatment, no help in correcting their behavior. No extra education. And they will be a problem to society. Because it's cheaper to label them and throw them in Juvenile Hall.It would be interesting to follow the case and see what happens to these thugs.

Well an attack is intentional, and perhaps you are asking whether this one was premeditated.
Still, the scriptures in post #68 cover all of this regarding what would be the OC justice, right?
Because white people have never been known to gang up on people and beat them up.
I believe the attack was premeditated (it was just another iteration of "pick 'em out, knock 'em out), however the victims were chosen at random.
And yes, all of the 'benefits' would be applied if this occurred in OT times, and they would have been put to death, imo. The offense was tantamount to not only 'striking' one's parents but beating them. And there were plenty of witnesses.
But the victims were not their parents. The OC law about attacking parents is for when children attack their own parents, not just any other people that are parents.
"Thugs like these" are also your neighbors, bro.If this event occurred in OT times, which law would be applied? Or, if there was no specific law against such a beating not only would there be no punishment but it wouldn't even be a crime.......would it?
Part of "loving my neighbors" is protecting them from thugs like these.
