Ephesians 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Praise the Lord.

I feel strongly allured by this scripture. The world however is not a peaceful place. I suppose that's why we walk by faith not sight, while wearing the shoes of peace.I think the gospel is many things, like peace, and grace, and hope, and love, and faith, salvation/redemption... The gospel is all of those... Good News...
As for the shoes of peace, those cover your feet and guide where/how/when you walk or move or step out/in/on, with and in peace...
You'll walk gracefully but not arrogantly, and be walking in grace as well... With the shoes of peace...
God Bless!
If there were bombs and explosions and fire falling from the sky, could you just gracefully and peacefully walk, and it be like it's not even there...?I feel strongly allured by this scripture. Thanks mp....I think there is a readiness to preach/share the good news with these shoes of peace
There is so much strife in the world. How does one walk in peace?If there were bombs and explosions and fire falling from the sky, could you just gracefully and peacefully walk, and it be like it's not even there...?
If that is anything like what it's supposed to be like that is...?
God Bless!
I think the gospel, peace , includes healing, deliverance, wholeness, overflowing peace and joy and righteousness, as shown throughout the New Testament,Ephesians 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Just saw this.There is so much strife in the world. How does one walk in peace?
I think the gospel, peace , includes healing, deliverance, wholeness, overflowing peace and joy and righteousness, as shown throughout the New Testament,
and notably lacking most places everywhere today.
Just saw this.
As an example, analogy, towards a more complete understanding,
When someone enlists in the military, (for peace sake, as a medical non-combatant; like Desmond Doss the concientious objector who never touched a weapon and never harmed another person, yet won the highest possible award for courage and bravery under extreme fire while saving his companions)
how does one know what to do ?
Philippians 4:6, John 16:33. The problem of lacking peace is all from anxiety (not trusting God). This is either because they have believed God's character wrongly or they are not living in a way that He imputes righteousness and blessing to them (Romans 6:16, Romans 8:33). Remember that a Christian's objective is to pursue his own salvation (Matthew 10:22), not to save everyone else (that is Jesus' objective through us: Matthew 11:29, Jeremiah 51:20-23, 2 Corinthians 4:2-3, John 3:20-21).There is so much strife in the world. How does one walk in peace?
Im not referring to lacking internal peace necessarily, but instead how to endure the strife that is in the world all around us, even in these forums, especially in these forums actually.Philippians 4:6, John 16:33. Jeremiah 15:19 is a useful way to set the mind too, especially if you are evangelistic in sharing the gospel.
You already know I'm sure:Im not referring to lacking internal peace necessarily, but instead how to endure the strife that is in the world all around us, even in these forums, especially in these forums actually.
I feel the Love of God tugging at my heart, and His peace is there. However, this world, even these forums are sometimes pitfalls of strife and division.Everyone in my life that I've met, whose sins have been forgiven, is living in perfect peace and joy and righteousness daily.
This without measure (no limit) is given freely along with salvation in Christ Jesus to all whose sins have been wiped out/ atoned for.
Amen.You already know I'm sure:
as Jesus says:
in the BIBLE (GOD'S WORD):
in the world you will have much persecution (troubles/ pain/ sorrow/ suffering/ deception/ lies/ theft/ murder) ,
but BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.
Some people go to New Zealand , for example, expecting beauty and peaceful surroundings .....I feel the Love of God tugging at my heart, and His peace is there. However, this world, even these forums are sometimes pitfalls of strife and division.
Thanks Jeff.Some people go to New Zealand , for example, expecting beauty and peaceful surroundings .....
there hopes and expectations may be dashed to bits , because things are not as they appear to be, anywhere.
Man is notoriously unfaithful, a world full of deceiving liars...... everywhere.
It sounds like a change of attitude could help with that, to crush that serpent under your heel. God did not place in us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love, and a sound mind. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Im not referring to lacking internal peace necessarily, but instead how to endure the strife that is in the world all around us, even in these forums, especially in these forums actually.
yw.Thanks Jeff.
