I hate my life, I need all the prayers I can get.

As you can surmise by the title, I hate my life and am depressed. I was raised Christian and part of me wants to go back to my faith, but, I'm just so sick of life. I'm 29 year old male with no prospects or money and lots of college debt. I hear all the time about how "special" I am. All I ever get are clichés like, "You have a purpose" or "hang tough". Honestly, I'm sick of all of them. When I tell people, all I get are clichés or quasi-spiritual answers. There so little redeeming in my life and it's becoming a kind of torture just to wake up in the morning and face the same problems and depression.

There's absolutely nothing special about me. I'm not that good looking, not terribly intelligent, and not really special in anyway. If there is a purpose to my life, I sure don't see it.

So, instead of quoting bible verses that I don't understand or more clichés, please just pray for me and send me love.

I hear all the time, "Life is precious", but I can tell you mine certainly doesn't feel like it.

I think that your depression is triggered by your lack of success in finding a fitting work position.

Are you doing everything you can to find work ?

Are you signed up for any of the career-connect networks (i.e. LinkedIn, etc.) ?

Also, pray that God will open up job opportunities for you ...

You have to recognize where He speaks to you.
If your here asking us... He has begun His work in you. It was Him that gave you the thought to seek more. Here you are. When we ask God for answers, He will guide you. Learning to follow is the next step.

Father, I pray this one will see and receive the love they desire. That they will see what they need to see to have peace, satisfaction, hope, purpose. I pray You will deliver them from their present state of mind to have the positive thinking they would rather have. I pray they will come to understand the Bible verses that would be so good for them. I pray they can go beyond the emptiness of certain cliches to the real intended purpose behind certain cliches so that they are not just often heard words, but powerful, life-changning truths. I pray this one doesn't give up, but finds that trials are only temporary, and can be endured or overcome. Give this one the strength and understanding to lift his spirits. Amen.
