Eternal security is the doctrine that when a person is saved nothing can affect their salvation. They can never lose it for any reason. I believe Eternal Security is true because of the following verses:

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 6:37-6:40

"All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."

John 10:27-29

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand."

Tell me, how can you read those verses and NOT believe in Eternal Security? Jesus is extremely clear. Out of all that the Father gives to Jesus he will lose NONE of them! In other words, Everyone's salvation is Eternally secure! It's right there in black and white! So, what do you think? Is Eternal Security real? Why or why not?

It depends; when is one truly saved, in this life or the next? If you say the next, I agree.

Is this post serious? NONE of these have ANYTHING to do with losing our salvation.

It depends; when is one truly saved, in this life or the next? If you say the next, I agree.

I'm saying both. When we are saved we are saved both in this life and the next. Believers in Jesus have Eternal life right now when they're alive.

It depends on when you consider yourself saved and what you are saved from. At what point can you say you are saved? Is it when you join a church? Say a prayer? Say you believe in Jesus and accept Him? And are you being Saved from Hell? Death? too many variables to give a blanket answer...

The NT says over and over ''do not be deceived.'' Many people are self-deceived in thinking they are saved but are not saved. Jesus said ''not all who say to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom.'' That is a very frightening passage that we all need to pay close attention to

Salvation is when we believe in Jesus's death, burial, and resurrection. When we come to Jesus and ask him for salvation. When we believe in Jesus he gives us the HS and we are born again.

Correct, it is rewards in Heaven that we can lose. Not our salvation. That is Eternal.

This is very true and should be considered by all....everyday. But what of the few that find that narrow path and make it through......can they be lost after?

Ok, I think I understand. Since we are talking about belief, then yes, I feel that what one believes they have, can be lost.

James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Eternal security is the doctrine that when a person is saved nothing can affect their salvation. They can never lose it for any reason. I believe Eternal Security is true because of the following verses:
I believe too, that once a person is born of the Holy Spirit, that state of being never changes. They forever belong to our Father. Nothing can snatch them out of His hand. I think people who believe one can lose his/her salvation do not truly understand what salvation is. It is atonement (at/one/ment) meaning we are joined forever into Lord Jesus Christ, inseparable. That is the great hope of glory.

Right, because how can a person who is born of God be unborn from God? That's like saying a child who is born ceases to be their mothers child and becomes unborn. No, they are forever their mother's child nothing can take that away. So, When we are born again, that is never taken away either!

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Judas call Jesus by name many times and also believed he was the Son of God as well....hence the "suicide" after the betrayal. Would you say Judas is Saved?

Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

I think there is more to it than just believe and saying words.

But ultimately, I do agree, that once your salvation it known....it wont be lost.
