Excuses, excuses ... people are good at justifying their choices in life by giving a more valuable reason. That's the point, is anything more valuable than a person life?
DONT HAVE SEX UNTIL YOU ARE MARRIED. This is why abstinance is the best choice for kids that just plain don't have it together.
And I do say kids -- adulthood means you are responsible and the age at which you reach maturity is much older than it used to be. Kids just don't want to grow up.
Listen to this, I was watching Family Fued recently and the question was asked: "100 people were asked the age at which a boy becomes a man and gets serious about his life? The # 1 answer was 30 years old.

At least you admitted they were selfish. A lot of decisions we make in life are about Me, me, what's in it for me.
Someone told an interesting definition of SIN once. Remove the S and N and you are left with "l".

Get real. Married women have abortions! In fact, married women with children have abortions!
People have responsibilities to themselves and to the actual lives dependent on them that trumps the literal question mark that is a fetus. It isn't just unmarried "kids" that find themselves with unwanted pregnancies.

Perhaps words like "selfish" and "I" are dirty to you, they aren't to me. My will to live is a selfish desire, one that keeps me going. A fetus has value, but its life is not more, or even equally valuable, as the woman who carries it. She is not merely a vessel. The fetus lives off of the woman at her sufferance. Should she object to the pregnancy, and easy/swift delivery of a viable fetus is not possible , termination should follow.

There are married women who seek abortion because they feel they already have enough children or they are married, but don't have the infrastructure ready for children, or for hundreds of other reasons.

Some priest? A Quaker? Do you think the original Quakers held the same view? No, you've progressed beyond their views.
You are aware that all life comes from God, that He knits us together in the womb, that He knows us before we were conceived? Some priest, who would approve of abortion and destroy God's creation. The fetus genetic code is fully human, the design is set, features and all ready for growth - only time is needed. You would deprive a person life. Shame on you!

Provided that it is within the first trimester I have very little issue with abortion. Now, I will not encourage a woman to have one ,nor would I choose that for myself, BUT the fact is that people WILL abort and I would rather have a mostly safe option for early term abortions than have people doing it themselves or worse having it done on the black market. Now, once you get past the first trimester then then it should be illegal, but when you abort during the first or even early second trimester the baby would not live outside the mother anyway . Moreover, it would be better if the supreme court is going to overturn Roe V Wade for them to make it a state issue whether than federally illegal. They are less likely to face backlash and that is how other issues of life and death are handled such as the death penalty and assisted suicide.

83 % of females who abort are unmarried.
Well the rest you said is a reflection of the liberal position, form of rebelliousness towards God, the Creator of life. Think not that He won't have judgment against those who support murder. Did He say, Thou shall not kill, unless it's an unborn baby,,then feel free ... Don't want it to interfere with your plans!

Non Christians usually don’t care what it says in the Bible. So I don’t think we’re too worried about judgement we don’t believe is coming.

The USA is a secular country, so whatever your god said or is claimed to have said is of no consequence to the laws.

Also, I've been told multiple times that it's actually "you shall not murder" and that some forms of killing are A-Okay with your god, if not even encouraged.

Nope, murder is a legal term meaning the unlawful taking of life, abortion is not unlawful ergo not murder.

It was born a Christian nation. 90% of Americans and this rest of the world would claim a belief in God. Our strong Christian heritage in the US was what made this country great, without it, we can do nothing. In this generation we have fallin away, become callous and the liberal ways have demoralized this country. Yes, abortion, selling baby parts and finally Gay marriage are reflections of a country that has turned away from God and gone in the direction that people like YOU prefer. Therefore, I think, judgment is imminent.
Murder is the correct translation and so killing all the unbelievers who reject Jesus will be the judgment coming soon.
Its still not too late to reconsider?

Murder is killing for selfish gain/reasons. Abortion is legal because our government redefined when life begins, they claim fetus is not a person until three months. But now we've seen abortion at any stage for any reason as in partial birth abortions. The baby is fully developed, ready to crown and they stick scissors into brain and suck the brains out. This is how demoralizing life is these days. When we don't value the unborn, then anything else goes. Liberalism desires to break free from any constraints, especially religious beliefs: Redefining life, marriage and gradually teaching children a newly revised history, alternative lifestyles, etc.
Come Lord Jesus.

Married or in a committed relationship- same thing to me & most of this country.

I'm not particularly liberal, I just don't believe in interfering with another's choices unless harm is being done and no- fetuses don't count.

I will concern myself with what your God wants when he takes care of these needy families. My God already gave us the tools to take care of our problems.

You need to do some studying. The fetus isn't a person at 3 months. The government/courts didn't redefine where life begins.

Most restrictions on abortion are based on viability. Roughly when a fetus has the ability to survive outside of the womb.

There is no such thing as a partial birth abortion. Late term abortions that occur in the third trimester are strictly based on medical need. You can't just go out and get one because you were dragging your heels. They are also only performed in a few places in the US.

Stop with the hyperbole. Most abortions occur on a body too undeveloped to survive under any circumstances outside of the womb.

A clump of cells, weighing less than a pound is not more valuable than the woman housing it.

Life begins at conception. You were a clump of cells, aren't you glad your parents did abort that clump? God is about to abort a clump of defective, wicked people ... dirty rags as He sees them
The Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act was signed by Bush in 2003. Gee I wonder why they did that if there was no such thing?

Late-Term Abortions Are Rare and 'Partial Birth Abortions' Illegal. Why Do They Keep Dominating the Reproductive-Rights Debate?

A fertilized egg is alive, but it isn't life.

Yes, I was a clump of cells once, but personally- I think my mother should have had an abortion. Her husband, my father, wasn't trustworthy or faithful and she would have had a better fresh start without me in tow. Additionally, if I was never born I could have missed out on childhood abuse, sexual assault and the resulting trauma. Side note- had I been aborted, it wouldn't even have bothered me because I would have lacked the cognitive function to know what was happening.

Life is overrated.

The ban was signed as pandering to the Christian Right, his base. It had nothing to do with a legitimate need.

Please understand. Doctors do not abort healthy, viable fetuses unless it is a last resort. And most late term abortions are on nonviable fetuses. Fetal movement, not matter how it may tug at heartstrings isn't viability.

As for what God is going to do...if he didn't freak out in the past over people abandoning their babies (actual infanticide) on garbage heaps, in woods or whatnot (because that is what folks used to do with children they couldn't care for, deformed children, unwanted children) then I doubt modern abortion is so upsetting.

Your religion has claimed that the end of the earth is just around the corner for 2 millennia. Why should anyone listen to those claims anymore?

When you were a child, you listened to your Daddy when he warned you that if you did something bad, you would be punished. He disciplined and corrected you because He loved you. So you listened most of the time, maybe got punished a few times, but felt his love and secure about it. He made you promises and for argument sake, let's say he kept them. You loved and trusted him, right. He would die for you to save your life, (most good fathers would.)
Christians believe our Father in heaven is greater, perfect and has accomplished everything He said He promised He would do. His plan is perfect. He did not intend for man to suffer in a sinful world for eons without end. He promised to put an end to sin once the gospel has been preached to the entire world, and then the end would come. That was not accomplished in any other generation, but just recently has been! (see Matt. 24:14)

You experienced evil, but have you not experienced good? We've all been subject to good and evil - some more than others. And sometimes we see others having the good life when ours is on the dumps. But we all yearn for a perfect world, one where evil doesn't exist. If you could snap your fingers and change your life forever, live in a paradise, wouldn't you? All you have to do is believe in Jesus and you will live forever in a promised perfect place where evil does not exist. The purpose of this life is to eventually reconcile with God, you know what good is ( because you've seen and experienced the opposite). You couldn't really know Gods attributes unless you've know evil. Forgiveness, mercy, kindness, love, truth, patience, hope, faith, joy would not mean anything unless we knew what it was like to be without them. So, yes God allows evil for a purpose and a time, but good and evil have about reached the precipice and will soon be separated. Its your choice whose side you want to be on when that happens.

You assume too much. It doesn't have anything to do with this thread, but no, I don't want to live forever. I don't believe Paradise is a possibility. I don't believe what you believe, at all.

I want this world, the one we live in to be much better than it is now. I want every child to be a wanted child - going home with stable and prepared parents who will love that child. I would like for abortion to be rare, but I would not take the right of abortion away from women and girls. I would also not legislate it away until it was a near impossibility.

I do not believe that would be a positive thing.

Bulldust. Murder is not defined in that manner; it is defined as the unlawful taking of a human life. Late-term abortions are medical issues and are always because of the non-viability of the infant or a risk of death or impairment to the mother. Liberalism is not the problem here, what is the problem is folk thinking they have the right to define for others what is acceptable.
