They'll be no shortage of supporters that will make excuses for him and blame liberals and accuse GOP members who opposed him of being "RINOs"/"Globalists"/etc...

Trump still tweeting about dead healthcare bill, he still getting mad at Filibuster rule ROFL.

Donald J. Trump on Twitter
With one Yes vote in hospital & very positive signs from Alaska and two others (McCain is out), we have the HCare Vote, but not for Friday!

Donald J. Trump on Twitter
We will have the votes for Healthcare but not for the reconciliation deadline of Friday, after which we need 60. Get rid of Filibuster Rule!

He accomplished none of it.
Precisely why I'm opposed to impeachment/removal from office.
He's all talk and no accomplishment, given his agenda (and that of most of the GOP), I'm good with that. ymmv

It seems they never thought through their position until just this year and never actually got together and decided what they want to do.
Seems? It's exactly what happened. They spent seven years arguing against the ACA and never even thought about coming up with a workable alternative. IMO, they never thought they'd ever be in a position to actually repeal it; they were just using their opposition to it to fire up their base.

True, but to paraphrase Mark Twain, when you've got all the fools in town on your side, that's a big enough majority.

Another Trump failure.

Another victory for the American people---thanks to the many people who continually visited, called, faxed, and wrote their Senators AND the Senators who were on the fence or in swing states, the "real" media who never gave up on telling people the truth about Graham/Cassidy, and the CBO, who burned the midnight oil to work on the best factual report they could get out before the scheduled vote.

God bless them all!

I almost had a drink to celebrate last night, but when dinner time came I forgot...I might have a glass of wine tonight!

Here's to you, American progressives! You done good!

Unfortunately, all this mucking around with insurance regulations, even as feckless as it is, spooks insurers--especially threatening to withhold ACA subsidies. And when carriers are uncertain, they raise premiums. Which hurts everyone. The only bright spot is that the more expensive private health insurance becomes, the sooner we'll transition into some type of non-profit single payer system. I think most people are ready for it now. But our politicians--almost exclusively conservative--have an inexplicable knee-jerk reflex against it. It's the Anti-Single payer Syndrome. Or ASS, as I call it.
