Holly Hunter and Charles Durning were in the clips. Two of my favorite actors.

The Christian tunes are a plus. They can SANG. :D

Those two were in another funny comedy together from 1995:
"Home for the Holidays"

Oh; Sister; you know where I am! My favorite Acapella song; from:
Oh, Brother; where art tho!:clap::oldthumbsup:

Me too brother, me too! I have that song downloaded and listen to it every day. usually in the morning at worship time. After my divorce i sort of became attached to Man of Constant Sorrow. That helped me a lot get through the bad times of it. Not necessarily a worship song, but a good song nonetheless.

Oh and a Moody Blues song, Melancholy Man

Man! You guys got a lot of cool subforums here!

I really like Alison Krauss. I found her awhile back and really like her music. She really rocks on that fiddle! It's a little weird for me, used to be a real hard core rock and roll guy but as get older I find it really nice to listen to different genre's of music. Bluegrass is really kewl!

I still like rock but not so hard core anymore it seems. It's nice to expose the mind to different things. You guys like the Celtic Women? They do a superb version of Amazing grace!
but I'm getting ahead of myself here. I was talking softer rock there.

Have you ever heard of Skillet? They're a Christian Rock band. They have a really good female drummer with an amazing voice. This song is usually my first wake up song. It's called Awake and Alive. (The Drummer, Jen Ledger, has an amazing testimony on Youtube)

here's the Celtic girls with Amazing Grace...

Here's one of my fav's. I like to sing this when I'm out driving around in my truck. it's easy to remember the words for me. My memory is pretty fried from being a pothead for so long, lol. But I love this song!

I really like Hillsong. I dunno why but they seem to get some bad press on the net, but, I don't have a problem with them. This song here will bring me to tears when I sing along with it. She does a very good job on it. You can tell that she's not singing to the crowd, but to God! :) It's another wake up song for me, lol.

After I started walking with the lord again...I caught on to worshiping God, not just going to church to take...but to give  so the only thing I knew in worship music was the old classic hymns from church as a child...but some playing around on Youtube showed me that there's a plethora of great new worship music now...Wow!

Yup! Like both of those; the Celtic Woman have some great Christmas music; I played on my Christmas threads.
That Hillsong song is an awesome song about our awesome God!

There was a video of a song sung in tongues on Youtube...A brother in Christ knows this gal and she sung this in a recording studio. One day she was on her way to make some recordings of Worship songs that she wrote and she said that the Holy Spirit came over her, and told her that today you will sing in tongues for a song. She said ok...and went on in.

She recorded the song and then she recorded another track to it, or a second song in tongues (I can't remember) but they mixed the two recordings together to the same music just to see what it would sound like, and it came out soo beautiful... that they kept the recording. It is a great song. If I remember right, it was two different lyric tracks, but they mesh together so well it is...perfection. She even posted the interpretion to the tongues with it! I had it downloaded onto the hard drive of another computer that I owned...and since I have moved here...that computer crashed and...I have looked for it again and can not find it on youtube. I can't remember the name of it! And I lost that Brother in Christ's phone number...dangit. I would love to post that here. I can't remember the Title though! Have any of you brothers or Sisters ever heard of such a song? I wish I could get it again. I forget the gals name, the title...everything.
