Joshua, you're 29, so I'm not gonna try and discourage your faith in Biblical prophecy. I'm just going to encourage you here that if it doesn't happen you just take it as a learning experience and not be as easily swayed next time. A lot of people say a lot of things that turn out to be completely false, and by the time you hit your fifties you've seen it happen dozens and dozens of times.

I understand you wanting the rapture to take place, I really do. But trust me, even if every believer on earth were praying right now for it to happen on September 23rd, it wouldn't.

God bless.

I'm normally feeling the same way as you about this kind of thing but it's hard to ignore this time.

I'm actually doing a little mental exercise right now, it's therapy for me, just go with it.

By the way, how do you know I'm 29?

Not for a moment do I put any credence in this, but I often do pray for the return of Jesus. I pray for the Church to be ready for it. I pray for those who need conversion, that they can do so in time. So I'll pray for this, and even on the 20th. But if the 20th passes, you need to adapt and stop setting dates. Better to be ready all the time than think you have up until a certain date to get ready.

Sounds good.

Well, I checked your Profile page. That doesn't mean people are always telling the truth, but I just figured since you listed your age that maybe it was accurate.

Hi joshua,

Look, the rapture will happen as per God's timing. We don't need to pray for it to happen, but Jesus did tell Israel to pray that it didn't happen at night for them. As it's always night time somewhere on the earth, it will be night time for some.

Personally, I don't think we've seen the culmination of all the prophecies to be fulfilled before the rapture occurs. The tribulation must come first. Jesus spoke of the days of the final tribulation as being worse than they had ever been and I don't honestly see that the situation for the children of God at this moment is worse than it has ever been. The final Anti-christ must also rise up out of the sea (all the people of the earth) before Jesus returns to take those who are his away to safety before God unleashes His wrath against all the godlessness of the this world.

Unfortunately, I suppose, I don't subscribe to the timing of the tribulation and rapture as shown in the Left Behind series. As I understand the explanation of the Scriptures regarding the timing of the rapture, believers will still be on the earth when the days of terrible tribulation come and the final Anti-christ rises to power. As I read in the Revelation beginning with 14:14 the one looking like the son of man will harvest those who are his from the earth and then pretty immediately those remaining upon the earth will be harvested and thrown into the winepress of God's wrath.

So, needless to say, I'm not much in agreement with the idea that after the rapture there's going to be some period of time in which people will yet find their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Jesus only returns once to harvest the earth of the good fruit. His next return will be a as conqueror of the wickedness upon the earth. He will return with his army of those dressed in white linen as conqueror.

So, I think your dating is off, but we'll see.

God bless you,
In Christ, ted

In all honestly, you do not want to pray for the Rapture to happen.

In regards to the teachings you've posted which I've seen before, I would be praying for more people to come to Christ before it's too late.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Meaning many will be caught unaware like the 5 foolish virgins) and they will die.

As far as a teaching goes, the plain description of the Rapture is located in Matthew 13 and it's to remove the wicked people and a majority of the unsaved off the Earth who aren't reached in time.

Verse 30 reveals what God will do to both the wicked (tares) and the just or righteous (wheat) during the Harvest (Rapture). The wicked will be removed to be destroyed and the just (Saints/Elect) will be gathered into a barn meaning they will have to endure the tribulation with satan, the antichrist and many other evil things. There will be many left behind but only a small remnant left alive upon Christ's return.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Christ sends the multitude away and the disciples inquire the 'tares' of the field.
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

Rapture, end of the world revealed here. Reapers are angels, the tares sown by satan in Verses 24-29
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

They will gather up the wicked to be burned in the lake of fire.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Christ will send the Angels / reapers and will be finding the wolves in sheep's clothing, those purposefully bowing down to satan and the unsaved.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

This is referring to the White Throne judgment in Revelation 20:11. This happens before Christs Judgment. (Romans 14:10)
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This refers to God's saints that are left behind and the 144,000 to spread the gospel during the antichrist's reign
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

In verses 44-46 Christ describes those He sacrificed everything for in the world (the field as referred in verse 38 above). Christ is the man who found the treasure and sold all that he had for them aka the pearls.
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Christ uses this parable of fishing to describe how people are evangelized. Those who make it are the good, those who don't will be the bad cast away into the fire after the Rapture for accepting the mark.
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

The Angels are the Reapers under the Euphrates as they are released to destroy the rest of the wicked. The saints will not have to worry. See Joel 2:1-11 describing how Christ will raise the ancestors to fight for Him as well.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

The antichrist and the rest of the wicked will burn in the lake of fire and those who did not accept Christ during the tribulation.
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

What will happen on the 23rd: a prophecy was released that the world map (atlas) will shift. Time will speed up and it will be shortened for many (Matthew 24:22, Mark 13:20). All planets will align for the first time in history and God said He is going to reveal some more things to wake up the Laodicean Church meaning this generation of churchgoers. He said they do not fear Him enough. Some more volcanoes will erupt and an earthquake will split a state in the U.S. in half. He said He will send 5 more large storms between now and 2018 flooding some areas (cleansing the lands). The next one we receive will be like Hurricane Rita of 2005 but where it will show up is God's call. California will be destroyed by an unstoppable Tsunami in 2019-2020.

Russia is surrounding us like a green bay tree waiting to strike because of the distress we are receiving.

Please pray fervently for more souls to be saved and ask God to have mercy upon the U.S.

Indeed, the prayer of the Church is "Maranatha, come Lord Jesus!". But praying for His return at a specific time because we think it should happen is spiritually arrogant, the Lord teaches us that He will come at a time when we do not know. The biggest problem in this thread is two-fold:

1) "The Rapture", a non-biblical and heterodox teaching.
2) False prophecies and predictions.

We should always be praying, "Come Lord Jesus!" because this is our great Christian hope, that the Lord will return in glory as judge of the quick and the dead, and that God will restore all things--that the earth will be renewed, all creation made whole, and that peace and justice shall flow like a river upon the earth. Thus, yes, Amen. Come Lord Jesus, save us and save your world; bring life to the lifeless, hope to the hopeless, deliver mercy to those who are without mercy, and justice to those who suffer injustice, bring peace, and turn all our swords into plowshares, rob from us the art of war, steal from us our hate and prejudices. Deliver us, O God, to that life everlasting and world without end. To the glory of Your name.

The problem with rapturism is, among other things, its advocacy of Christian escapism. The Christian does not look to escape the world, but looks for the salvation of the world, of all creation, in the Age to Come.

Well now, if no rapture happens 9/23, then we will know who some false prophets are, won't we?
I don't belive in a pre trib rapture. I think there are certain prophecies which have to be fulfilled before the Savior returns and though they may look like they over the horizon, they haven't happened just yet.
I pray for your discernment.

Notice we are told we do not know the day or the hour, but we are not told we will not know the year, month or even week.

Hi LL,

I agree. Just as God's people, Israel, should have known the season to expect their Messiah based on the signs given them through the angel's visitation to Daniel, we believers in the Lord should also recognize the signs leading up to the season of our Lord's return. But, even then we will only be able to say that it looks like Jesus should be returning soon, but not know any specific hour or day.

God bless you,
In Christ, ted

I won't be watching any of these videos but I will pray that we can have faith that Jesus will return at the right time. Not by our silly predictions, not by "videos" but that we should be ready for His return which we know absolutely nothing about when that will happen. All we know is things of this world will turn worse before it turns better. Be prepared!
