He commands us to have faith, does he not?
Yes faith in what He did to gain for us eternal like with Him..
Not Faith that we will keep us from all harm.. If a person has that kind of faith then their faith will be destroyed the day they face tribulation..

We're just supposed to trust him.

If we are doing the best we can to obey the Lord, he will protect us from all things. We need to get over any impulse we have to worry about things.

I don't see where God promises us protection from all things... Indeed Jesus made it clear in this world we shall have tribulation...
I agree with this.

Psalms 91:14
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Psalms 37:7-8
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

 Sometimes, our worrying just means that we need a hug from God. We get weary, tired, beat down in so many ways. When we find ourselves worrying (it happens), we draw near to God, crawl up on His lap, and get a hug. When our brothers and sisters are worried, we pray and we intercede for each dear one, asking our heavenly Father to minister to each dear one, as only He can.

We need not worry about worrying.

Worrying is just an indication that we need to go to our heavenly Father.

"Snuggle in God's arms. When you are hurting, when you feel lonely, left out...let him cradle you, comfort you, reassure you of His all-sufficient power and love." ~Kay Arthur

Exactly!

Your "if" is a very big "if". Who among us is truly doing our best? So while I do not advocate worry, perhaps a less than smooth path can only be expected for many.

But the Lord will lead us through those situations and provide us with peace as he does.
So you are laid off from work, but you and your wife are trusting that God will be with you in this and you do not limit your spending.
Do you think God is going to clear or cover reckless spending in that senario?

God promises to be with us in every situation. He doesn't promise to stop a beating, or to heal us or pay our debts.
We are to take thought foe our needs for each day and to be wise.

If there is rioting in the street, don't go out.

To trust in God when one has nothing is hard and sometimes requires that we conciously decide that we will trust in him.

If we are doing the best we can to obey the Lord, he will protect us from all things. We need to get over any impulse we have to worry about things.

The GOD of Creation knows what you need before you do. HE knows what you will ask for in prayer before you ask it. Thus, HE said:

31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

What this is revealing is that you are supposed to be focused on HIS kingdom. IF you are asking in prayer for any of the things in which HE said do not worry, earthly things, worldly things, then you are questioning the GOD being your father because by asking for these things, you are saying you do not have them. And the GOD said HE knows you need these things.

Look at the LORDS Prayer, given to us by the GOD HIMSELF which is speaking of Heavenly things, not earthly things. What you ask for in prayer, reveals what your concern is, what your focus is, and as Apostle James said: you pray amiss.

Who, by taking thought, can add one cubit to his stature? I agree that, although difficult, worrying should be avoided at all cost.

God can give you the desires of your heart, if you believe He can. If you dont believe, He wont. If you ask Jesus to depart from your shores after seeing pigs choked in the sea, He will.

Be it unto you as you believe.

But we have to be careful not to hinder others free will. If one chooses to believe God cant help during this life, or only in certain ways....They are free to do so. If another chooses to believe that there is nothing God cant do.....they are free to do so as well.

I've read posts on here stating that God wont/cant do things that I've experienced Him doing for me. But I believe because I've seen......But blessed are they who, without seeing...believe.

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live"

I say let every man choose for themselves......and there is little to be gained for persuading one to switch sides.

He will safely lead us through any situation. Remember - death is nothing to be feared.

Was Jesus fearing death or worried on the cross when He cried out to the Father? Was He worried/fearful in the Garden of Gethsemane as He sweat out as it were great drops of blood?

Thank you kindly.

The point is not to murmur against God or disobey.

Numbers 13:1-4
1Then all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2All the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron; and the whole congregation said to them, “Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness! 3“Why is the LORDbringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become plunder; would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4So they said to one another, “Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt.”
