Dreams...

Do you guys believe that God speaks to man in dreams? I do. I sure wish they would be more plain though instead of a bunch of symbolism which needs interpreted. Let's just share some dreams that we've had before. I've dreamed of flying in my dreams quite a bit.

In one dream, Jesus was teaching me to fly. He had me by the ankles and would fly around and teach me how to maneuver and stuff. And how to land on peoples roof without waking them or disturbing them. I thought that was so cool!

In another flying dream, I was teaching a class to others on how to fly! I would tell them to follow me and keep up and would fly off fast trying to lose them, zig zagging and stuff, lol. I lost them and flew up to the edge of space and looked down on the world, very cool! Then I saw it was getting late so I better go find the class since I had lost them. I found them with no problem and then we flew back to the ?? station or school or whatever and class was over and I woke up.

I like flying dreams.

What you have to remember that just as in your school there are rules that have been explained and are not constantly repeated, so God has spoken to us about what he expects of us.
He doesn't send dreams, vissions etc to those of us who have a bible, hear surmons preached and can find out what God wants of us.
Any more than your head teacher walks around your school with you telling you how to behave.

I don't have any idea what you're trying to say here. My school? I'm 55 years old Brother. ??

God sends both dreams and visions to people and He is no respecter of persons.

Job 15:13-17
13 Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

upon all flesh, Brother. Last days. Here we are. I like flying dreams because I started having them, not I wish I could dream about flying...

Lol! Oh, Sorry Brother. I thought you was being snarky with me and I misunderstood you. Geez there's so much of that anymore on other forums a guy can't hardly say anything without someone talking them down. That's half the reason I'm here is another board all they do is argue and be snide to each other and it get's tiring.

Christian boards too. They're some of the most negative argumentative people I've seen lately. My apologies Brother.

My flying dreams were weird. At first I had to run into the wind and jump into it and ride the air currents. Keeping altitude was a problem, and as I flew I had my arms down to my sides as I flew.

Later in subsequent dreams I was able to take off and fly superman style and altitude was still sort of a problem but not as much as before. I was able to fly amongst the top of buildings but couldn't make it to space. Like I was progressing.

In the more recent flying dreams I could take off straight up from a standstill. Like Neo in the Matrix.

Speaking of progression in dreams, I've had quite a few dreams wherein I had guns. In the early days I had problems with my guns function in my dreams. They would jam, not work right, or the bullet would just plop out the end of the barrel...bad.

I am a reloader IRL and make my own ammo for guns. Because of this, I was able to go shooting much more often and shoot and practice a whole lot more. As I got better and more confident IRL (in real life), my guns began working properly in my dreams.

I've heard a lot of people who's guns don't work right in their dreams. This may be related to a confidence issue. ??

I have no idea, Sister. I am no interpreter of dreams. It is said to be fairly cut and dried and most of the interp comes from the details of the dream. Clothing, buildings, which doors you walk through, colors and all sorts of stuff like that. Supposedly being so cut and dried like that that one would think that they could google a book or ebook about it which gives the keys to the symbolism. But I have never been able to find such info. It has been awhile since I looked, so maybe it's worth a try for you?

May I suggest, that if and when you find someone to give you an interp, that you do not accept it as truth right away. Read it, then consider your circumstances and so forth to see if it seems to fit, and then pray about it and ask the Lord for confirmation to it. (I have done this and did get my confirmation!)
