16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Is Jesus speaking about those -yet to be converted- when He mentions those outside "this" fold?

Who is Jesus speaking of here?

Jesus was Jew and come to Jews first , he was Messiah and Jews were supposed to recognise him and then declare it to the world that was thier purpose( Matthew 15:24 ).

So these people in John 10:16 are gentiles , it was before church was announced .
One flock is church , no more Jew and gentile but christians .

I think He's talking about the gentiles there.
Amen! Jesus refers to the "other sheep" which are not of this fold, outside of Israel, in other words, Gentiles.

16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Is Jesus speaking about those -yet to be converted- when He mentions those outside "this" fold?

Who is Jesus speaking of here?

The context we need is how He told us He was sent at first to Israel...

-------
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
---------

Now, by the will of the Father, this is changed, and not only Israel alone is to be saved. In addition to Israel, gentiles also are now also to be flocks of His sheep.

More, this theme gets repeated and expanded on in parables too, such as the powerful Wedding Banquet parable.

This parable has a crucial message for us also, which we really need, now. It's in Matthew chapter 22. Seeing this powerful message, we are back to the shocking reality of His words to us in Matthew chapter 7 verses 13-14.

Reread John 10 after you have read the following passages and or chapters - Isaiah chapters 40; and 46; Jeremiah chapters 3; 23; 31; 33; and 50; Ezekiel chapters 34; and 37; Zechariah chapter 8; and Hebrews chapter 8.

Another key is Matthew 10:6's "lost sheep of the house of Israel" which is based on descriptions found in Ezekiel chapters 34; and 37:15-25; Jeremiah chapter 23:1-8; and chapter 50:4-20 (especially 50:6).

See also Jeremiah 31:2-22; and Amos 9:7-14.

And Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9; the same mention of which is found in John 11:49-52, and again in Acts 2:5.

Just read all those references and then go back to John 10 and see if you still cannot properly sort out who it's "other sheep not of this fold" is referring to.

Throughout, keep Matthew 15:24 in mind as a sort of a main principle for the context in which Christ said what He said there, in John 10.

Nehemiah 8:8,12.
Isaiah 8:20

Revelation chapter 7 mentions two groups also. First the 144,000 “sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel.” (Revelation 7:4) Comparing Revelation 14:1-5 shows that the 144,000 are “bought from the earth,” to become “firstfruits to God.” (See Luke 12:32; John 14:2-4) These, therefore, are the ones who will reign in heaven with Christ. (Galatians 6:16; 2 Timothy 4:18) The second group is “a great crowd, which no man was able to number,” who “come out of the great tribulation.”-John 10:16.

Some sheeplike people will come into a fold that go to heaven. There are also other sheep who will accept him as shepherd; these will be at unity with those first. Having this view, the term “other sheep” refer to loyal Christians who serve God with the prospect of survival and of their being “guided to fountains of waters of life” on earth. (Revelation 7:17) If some of those of the “great crowd” have died before the “great tribulation,” there is every reason to look forward their resurrection to life on earth. Such, for example, include men of faith who died before Jesus inaugurated the way to heaven, such as Noah, Abraham, Job, David, and John the Baptizer.-Matthew 11:11; Acts 2:29; Hebrews 10:19, 20.
