Revelation 11:11 and when will it happen that the saints and Prophets will be restored to a spirit? Revelation 11:18
No I am not a JW. G4151 πνευμα ζωης a life giving Spirit; invisable force: Job 34:14-15; Psalms 36:9; Psalms 149:29; James 2:26 For as the body apart from the Spirit is DEAD....; Mark 13:11; Leviticus 26:11; Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:17-18; Matthew 12:32.So you are a Jehovah Witness and believe the spirit is nothing more that air?

NO, it is the invisiable force of God , neither substance or material but the Breath of Life which, if you ignore you will be subject to destruction eternally! So is this like an immaterial substance?
NO, it is the invisiable force of God , neither substance or material
James 2:26 For as the body is dead without the Spirit, so faith without works is dead, also.
The personal spirit is not invisible, it is unseen. It is not immaterial, it is unseen, unless God allows for the natural eye to see it (see 2 Kings 6:14-17). These were spirit horses and chariots, (and although it doesn't say it, they were manned by spirit people) not invisible or immaterial, but just unseen by normal mortal eyes.
The scripture does not capitalize 'Spirit'. In is 'spirit', meaning your individual spirit, rather than the 'Holy Spirit'. James is telling us that the body is dead if our personal spirit leaves the body. That is a true statement, when your spirit leaves your body, you die. It is your individual spirit that animates and gives life to the body of flesh and bone. Another word for your 'personal spirit' is 'the breath of life'.
Read this scripture:You are mistaken we do not have a personal spirit. The Spirit returns to God who gave it. The Greek Bibles that we have were all written in Caps, no punction, no chapters, no verses. So your point is moot. The Breath of Life is God's Spirit which he breathed into us when we were born. The Holy Spirit is the power of His Spirit that He gives to those He has chosen. Job 27:3; Job 34:14-15; Mark 13:11
Are these the best scriptures you could come up with to support your HS given to those He has chosen. Not very convicing. You are mistaken we do not have a personal spirit. Let's do a little comparison. Read your scripture:Revelation 11:11 and when will it happen that the saints and Prophets will be restored to a spirit?
Revelation 11:11 and when will it happen that the saints and Prophets will be restored to a spirit?
We are talking about the Greek manuscripts that capitalize everthing and there is no punction, no chapters, no verses. You need to revise your way of thinking. and concerning the Breath of Life read Job 27:3 and the Spirit of God is in my nostrils; Job 34:14-15 and if He gather unyp himself His Spirit and His breath, all flesh together is dead and returns to dust; Mark 13:11..it i s not ye who speak but the Hoy Spirit G4151 Πνευμα a life giving Spirit; breath of nostrils; the breath of life; πνευμα απερρηζον βιου [LSJ]; to give up the ghost! Are these the best scriptures you could come up with to support your HS given to those He has chosen. Not very convicing. In our English scriptures, maybe not the Greek, but in the English, we capitalize the word 'spirit' if it means the HS. If it does not mean the HS then we leave the word 'spirit' in lower cases. So it does mean something in English whether you capitalize a word or not. So when you are quoting a scripture, don't capitalize a word that is not capitalized in the scripture, it changes the meaning of the whole scripture BTW, how does God breath the 'Breath of life' into each of our nostrils?
Luke 4 says the Spirit came again..are you saying Jesus did not have the power to retore her Spirit?Let's do a little comparison. Read your scripture:
Revelation 11:11
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
And then read the scripture I quoted to prove there is a spirit in us:
Luke 8:54-56
54 And he (Jesus) put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done
Now lets compare.
1) Both scriptures are about mortal people.
2) In both cases the mortal people have died.
3) In both cases the 'spirit' entered into them. In Rev. it calls 'the spirit', 'the spirit of life'. In Luke it calls 'the spirit', 'her spirit'. 4) Both 'spirits' are in lower case so it signifies that it is not the HS that is entering back into their bodies. 5) Both mortal people come back to life. 6) All people that witnessed the event were astonished. I would like to use your scipture to support my doctrine. Thank you. Not sure what you are saying about the saints and Prophets will be restored to a spirit? Please explain? Revelaion 11:18 is about the saints and prophets getting some kind of a reward, do you think this reward is a spirit? Let me know.

Jesus certainly has the power to bring 'her spirit' back to her body. He did it on the pages of the bible. If 'her spirit' is 'the spirit of God', or the 'breath of God', then why did the Holy Bible call it 'her spirit'?Luke 4 says the Spirit came again..are you saying Jesus did not have the power to retore her Spirit?
Read the verse Revelation 11:11, it says the breath of life from God entered into them and in Greek it is written (if you have a translation) πνευμα ζνης εκ του Θεου
Huh? God is the One who exists and the Holy Spirit is the invisible power which eminates from Him. Psalm 51:11 ..take not thy Holy Spirit away from me; πνευμα G4151 from G4154, G5590, psuche from G5594; breath (by implication spirit). Hebrew H7307 ruach by resemblance spirit, breath, figuratively life; and H2416 chay (Chaldee) from H2418, alive as a noun in plural, life, liveth, living.Jesus certainly has the power to bring 'her spirit' back to her body. He did it on the pages of the bible. If 'her spirit' is 'the spirit of God', or the 'breath of God', then why did the Holy Bible call it 'her spirit'? The same thing will happen to the 2 Prophets who will testify to Israel and the world for 3.5 years and are then killed, and will temporarily lie in the streets of Jerusalem. Their spirits will leave their bodies and they will die, then after 3 days, God will allow those spirits (His spirit, His breath) to reenter the bodies and they will come alive, and all will be amazed. The spirit it a real entity.
He-man, do you not believe that the Spirit is a different person than the Father and the Son?Huh? God is the One who exists and the Holy Spirit is the invisible power which eminates from Him.
What do you mean Huh? This is simple bible. The girl and the 2 prophets had their personal spirits (non-cap) returned to their bodies and they all came back to life.Huh? God is the One who exists and the Holy Spirit is the invisible power which eminates from Him. Psalm 51:11 ..take not thy Holy Spirit away from me; πνευμα G4151 from G4154, G5590, psuche from G5594; breath (by implication spirit). Ephesians 3:5 ..as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. (Caps); Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
John 7:39 But this spake he of the Spirit (Caps), which they that believe on him should receive for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
1Thessalonians 4:8 ...but God who hath also given unto us His Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:5 "in the Spirit" means there is no difference; Ephesians 4:30; John 7:39; 1 Thessalonians 4:8What do you mean Huh? This is simple bible. The girl and the 2 prophets had their personal spirits (non-cap) returned to their bodies and they all came back to life.
So is there a difference between 'her spirit' found in Luke 8:54-56 and the
'Holy Spirit' found throughout the bible? Can you explain that difference?
*bump*He-man, do you not believe that the Spirit is a different person than the Father and the Son?
That belief is required in order to be considered a "Christian" on CF and is a central part of the Trinity.
