I am praying hard for the salvation of my brother, but no change is happening, why i dont understand, how many years it usually takes for an unbeliever to get saved because of others intercessory prayers?

We all have freewill God will not interfere with our free will. Your bother doesn't want to get saved it seems. All we can do is pray that the Father send someone with the right words so that he can get saved or pray that he soften his heart and open his ears so he can accept the truth.

It can take decades before someone is saved. Try not to stress out over this. Just love your brother. Your best witness will be in your Christian love and your fidelity to the Savior. I pray you have peace about this and that your brother will be saved in due time.

God has it all under control. As LoricaLady said, try not to worry, and trust God with the situation. My parents were backslidden for my entire childhood while I went to church alone for 20 years...I never stopped praying for them, and at times it felt hopeless, but I am happy to say that this summer my father has came back to the Lord. He's an on time God :) praying for your situation, God bless.

We wait patiently and continue to pray.

It is much harder, I know, when it is a family member especially a brother or sister.

However, we cannot force the Hand of God on these matters. It is the Holy Spirit Who moves hearts and minds to the Gospel and repentance unto salvation in Christ Jesus.

Luke 18:1-8New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”

6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

I don't know who all may have prayed for me, but I was a prodigal most of the time for about 25 or so years, even thinking in my head for much of that time that I wasn't a believer (but...my heart was not fully agreeing on that at times, on a deep level I usually did not sense most of the time). Fortunately I had heard some of the actual words of Christ in the gospels -- not paraphrases or shortened versions, but several key full phrases in exact wording, like "Love your neighbor as yourself" and "love your enemy" and "So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you". Eventually, these came back to me, and I felt the desire to see them in print. That was very important for me.

But time. That was around 25 years. See? Just pointing out that something like that might take some time, and some growing more mature, but especially it could take hearing accurate, exact wording of at least a couple of things Christ said, and not a paraphrase I think, not a shorten rewritten version, but the real version. It won't take a lot. Even just like this: "Christ said, Love your neighbor as yourself." I mean don't dare to leave out the "as yourself", because it's not really at all the same without it, for me. I was convicted by His words, in time. I think if you were to say one of these to him at a good moment, you could say another at some other moment, even a year later, and it's good to know you are not trying to win an argument or anything at all like that, but you want to let the words stand by themselves. They don't need any arguments. They work on their own over time I think.

My grandmother and aunt prayed for decades for my father to be saved, I am sure much more than I prayed for him. He never was saved. Our prayers don't save people. They must make that decision for themselves. We can only pray that God will do what He can, and then the rest is up to the unsaved individual. Father we continue to pray that this one will have the best opportunities presented to them for them to make their own decision to receive Christ as Savior. Amen.

When I came to Christ none of my family were saved. I simply lived the life before them and all of them would come to Christ. Pray and live the life before them.
