John would say "I am not..." Jesus says "I AM"...

John was the disciple Jesus Loved, they were best friends, you could say, they were both different, Yet maybe had shared similar experience, that led them to say and confess these things about themselves...

I think I've had that experience, and I had to conclude that I fall into the "I am not" category...

Which do you fall into and why...?

Or are you some things, but not others, or what...? Do not your thoughts "accuse or excuse you", when your mixed on this...? And isn't it much harder to know who are or are not, when you try to mix them...?

Who are we...?

Comments...?

God Bless!

I am not God, Jesus is, and He is in me and has given me His Spirit.

Jesus said I AM because that was how God introduced Himself to Moses.

Exodus 3:13-15 Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.”

When Jesus said, "before Moses was, I AM" Jesus was declaring himself as God.

Any other word play you put into it is from your imagination, mostly.

And only God is all... Which is what "I AM" was meant to convey, I believe separate from the "I AM'(s) NOT...

I mentioned this recently in another thread.
Why was it John who rested his head on the chest of our Lord, and not the other Disciples?
Because the others did not ask. :Quote by Smith Wigglesworth

Interesting thing is that also Pauls says “I am”, for example in:

The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
