Ephriam had sinned unto death. The worship of idols, and such evils. Looking at his brother, we see the sort of evil that God will not allow forever.

"
Manasseh, son of King Hezekiah, and mother Hephzibah, began his reign at age 12. He reigned 55 years, the longest of any Hebrew King, but it was an evil reign. He rebuilt the heathen altars that his father Hezekiah had destroyed - the altars of Baal. He even built pagan altars in both courts of the Temple of the Lord, for worshiping the sun, moon and stars.

And Manasseh sacrificed his own children as burnt offerings in the valley of Hinnom. He consulted spirit mediums, fortune tellers and sorcerers. He angered the Lord by encouraging every sort of evil (2 Chronicles 33:4-6). He also murdered large numbers of innocent people (2 Kings 21:16).

Manasseh (son of Joseph)

When a nation reached that level of wickedness, God allowed enemy nations to destroy them, and that does involve the sort of thing mentioned in the verse you cite.

Excuses, excuses. That is what we always hear when an omnipotent, omniscient God supposedly ordered the slaughter of babies.

I will have to use that one if I ever go on a mass killing spree. I wonder how seriously people will take me.

In the same chapter you cited we see the truth of the matter.

9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

Nope, no "truth". You lost, as usual.
Yes the truth is that God said they destroyed themselves by plunging wholeheartedly into vile sins. Sacrificing children and worshiping Ball, and etc etc.

As the thread shows here, people who embrace evolution are generally into vile affections...even christians embracing it tend to condone or support them also. Thus the commonality.

Nope, he did not say that. That is merely your excuse. Now you are trying to claim that God said things he never said.

And no, you are the one that is into "vile affections". Why do you keep breaking the Ninth Commandment?

The things that brought on judgment were outlined. God said exactly this in the very chapter you cited.

9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

There were other sins of those cities. The trade mark identifying trait of the cities however is clear.

Yep. The Bible says it was mistreatment of the poor and the hungry.

So the bible endorses same sex marriage

The Bible says nothing about it one way or the other.

baby murder

The Bible doesn't mention abortion either.

and denying creation. OK.

The Bible doesn't offer us a theory of material origins.

The Bible is silent on all three topics.

You made me do it is never a valid excuse.

Try again.
You claimed God never said it.

He did.
9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

When people give in to murdering and vile affections and sacrificing kids, the boom gets lowered.

Nope, you changed the subject.

That was not about Samaria, which is what my quote was about, that quote is about Israel as a whole.

The judgments of God came for given reasons in Israel. People bring on themselves the destruction. Like gravity, there are laws that have consequences. If we jump off a building we bring pain or death upon ourselves.

If people turn their ears from God, then they will turn to fables. When we look at the widespread fable of evolution, it is natural that we would see certain commonalities in those that chose that religion.

Actually it does. If you understand the euphemisms used. The "test for an unfaithful wife" is a chemical abortion done by a priest as a test if a wife has been true to her husband. If she cheated she will abort the fetus after drinking the potion given to her:

Bible Gateway passage: Numbers 5:11-31 - New International Version
Nope.

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

Same water. So it is not a chemical anything. The issue is whether she cheated. At that time in Israel, God was dealing with some sins in a decisive manner.

Children of from God and He loves them.

dad, you did not pay attention. I told you that you had to get past the euphemisms. Do you know what "her thigh" is?

Yes, they dealt with "sin" by forced chemical abortion. Do you need some references?

How boring.

Here are some very common things I have found about people well versed in science or educated, that really believe in Cosmic and biological evolution of life.

1 - They disbelieve strongly in the Scriptural account (i.e. world and man actually created one week)
Sure. Evolution and a literal understanding of Genesis are irreconcilable. Would you rather I believe that God is a deceiver, in that he faked all the evidence for evolution and against Genesis?
2 - They embrace same sex marriage, gay rights, and abortion.
I think marriage is an outdated concept - I do not really embrace it.
I am supporting the legal right to marriage, though. Not only for people of the same sex, but also for people of different sexes. I am for equal rights, of course.
I do not embrace abortion, not at all. I´m just not the kind of guy who wants his feelings to be made the basis for jurisdiction.

3 - They want to leave planet earth, which they think is doomed from overpopulation, and people not being green enough etc.
Not me.

It also points out the homosexual town rapists which is the earmark of Sodom.

Interesting, my Bible doesn't mention the sexual orientation or even the gender* of the mob. Also, you seem to be ignoring the fact that this was a mob seeking to gang rape visitors, a rather violent response to a visitor in stark contrast to the hospitality shown by Abraham to the same visitors. The Biblical, and later rabbinical, emphasis understood in the text is the violent in-hospitality shown to visitors.

*The Hebrew uses the word אַנְשֵׁי, "people", "mankind", "mortals". C.f. Genesis 17:23, "every male (זָכָר) among the men(אַנְשֵׁי)"
