There is a distinct difference between asking God a question and questioning His decisions. So let me ask you:
have you ever questioned God?

Yes, i have. But thank God for His inexplicable patience and grace with me. He ministers to me even through the questions. He allows them perhaps because i may have shut down and gone back inside my fortressed cave, so to speak, if He didn't.

He is a GOOD Father and Teacher.

I will be forever thankful that He is.

Indeed our God is good! As I continue on my spiritual journey, each day as I learn more, I am constantly amazed at the depth of God's love for us.

Thank you for that!! It's like God was ministering to me through your words and praise for Him.

God bless you. :)

I'm reminded of Gideon, and how delightfully this account of Gideon, meeting face to face with something he never ever expected...and that was the Angel of the Lord saying this to him:

"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour." ~Judges 6:12

Hahaaaa now Gideon was just minding his own business, hiding from his enemies while threshing. He must've looked around to see who this angel must've been talkin' to, cuz it surely wasn't HIM, was it?

The inexplicable grace and patience of God towards Gideon is a precious account of how God shows infinite patience and grace towards all of us......especially how God showed patience regarding the fleece.

This is one of the reasons i love God soooo much. He has been inexplicably patiednt and gracious with me and alllllll my many questions.

How precious is that?

:)

I'm surprised by how Moses directly questioned God - I mean, He knew Him in a highly literal way.

I can't help but think he has either great guts, or a bad temper!

LOL! Hey, Moses it is written, was the humblest man on earth.

I got a kick out of it when he actually asked God WHOSE children (the Israelites) were...did HE (Moses) give birth to them?

^_^

I think Moses became humble because he spent time with God, but before he must've not been!

I recently saw how he kept making excuses when God told him to go to the Israelites. Seriously gutsy!

I wonder what the Lord thinks of us as individuals, about our personalities and odd quirks. Surely there can only be one Moses, one David, one Brinny, one Aleksandros!

"Who has known the mind of the Lord?"
But a man hopes indeed to know :(

I would not be comfortable enough to question God as Moses did. But spiritually I am not where Moses was. I suspect there was a deep and close relationship between God and Moses, enough so that he felt comfortable asking the question(s) that I would only dare to think of.

It reminds me of Jacob, wrestling with God. God understood the desperation of Jacob's heart in that wrestling, and surely God sees past the clumsiness and sees the heart of the one who KNOWS Him, and therefore His inexplicable grace kicks in at those times of "boldness" with Him.

God has allowed me to "wrestle" with Him, amidst an ocean of tears. He KNEW what was "behind" the "wrestling" and what was in my heart, and He allowed it.

I have read of John Hyde doing the same. He was also close to God - he said he was arguing with God about why he shouldn't do something.

It makes me think! It would be lovely to be that close to God.

What is your favorite instance In your life where God was patient with you? :)

Gideon and the fleece is a funny one. He put the fleece out three times, right?

Yes, i think so.....God bore with Gideon....Gideon needed the assurance and God granted him that assurance.....i think He was taking Gideon through the baby steps of trusting Him. He's done the same with me. There was a chapter in my life when i was like Much Afraid in the book Hinds Feet on High Places.

God was soooo patient with me when i told Him once to go away, that i don't want to talk to Him anymore. I was very sick and i had lost everything. He NEVER EVER got angry with me or impatient.
