Of course it means something!
So does John 17:20-22 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Both mean that Jesus and his God are "one", just like all believers are "one" with Jesus and his God!
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
2 Cor 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
