'Now when they saw the BOLDNESS of PETER and JOHN, and PERCIEVED that they were UNLEARNED and IGNORANT men,
they MARVELLED; and they took KNOWLEDGE of THEM, that THEY had BEEN with JESUS' Acts 4:13
Holy Spirit is no respecter of persons because God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34-35, Romans 2:10-11). God honors loving obedience to His Son, Jesus Christ (in varying degrees, Romans 12:3-8, Matthew 25:14-30).
'We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him' Acts 5:32
'Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.
When they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.
They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward.Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness' Isaiah 8:16-22
'In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering. For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers (Matthew 12:50). He says:
“I will proclaim Your name to My brothers;
I will sing Your praises in the congregation.”
And again:
“I will put My trust in Him.”
And once again:
“Here am I, and the children God has given Me.” Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
For surely it is not the angels He helps, but the descendants of Abraham. So He had to be made like His brothers in every way, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people. Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted' Hebrews 2:10-18
