St.Matthew 7:21
Jesus " Not everyone that saith unto me Lord,Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the *will of my* Father which is in heaven."
So...there it is. If we're not obeying God( the Father ) then we're *not* going to heaven point blank period.
There is no way in unless we *obey*.
We can preach the best sermon, pray for people, feed the hungry, love our neighbors but if we haven't yeilded to God..then it's not going to happen.
Jesus said it.I believe it.That settles it.
Guess there are a lot of *good* people out there who are not going to make it in.
Any thoughts?

Some say the will of God is only believing. But it is so much more.

1 Thessalonians 4
1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

St.Matthew 12:50
While the Lord was teaching some one told Him that his mother and brethren were standing outside wanting to speak with Him but Jesus instead of attending to His family responded with: "Who is my mother?and who are my brethren?"
Then indicating His disciples He announced: " For whosoever shall *do* the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."
Question often asked:What is God's will?
Obedience seems like a hard thing especially when people don't know what God requires of them in the first place.
Some may ask: "Is it only following the ten commandments or do I just accept Christ and wait for Him to change me?Or is it something more?"
Any thoughts?

St.Matthew 10:34
Jesus said "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword".
His word pierces the heart of sinners.
The truth stirs up conflict between those in the same household when one is an unrepentant sinner and the other has accepted Christ.Jesus said it in verses 35 and sums it all up in 36:
Jesus:" And a man's foes (enemy) shall be they of *his own* household."

How many good works must one do to be sure of entering heaven?
How well must one obey in order to be sure of attaining heaven?

Question often asked:What is God's will?

2 Peter 3:9(NKJV)
9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Obedience seems like a hard thing especially when people don't know what God requires of them in the first place.
it is, in fact the Christ said it is impossible!

Matthew 19:26(NKJV)
26But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Some may ask: "Is it only following the ten commandments or do I just accept Christ and wait for Him to change me?Or is it something more?"

Any thoughts?
1 John 5:3(NKJV)
3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

we accept Christ as our saviour and Lord and thank God the Father for the Christ and the offer of eternal life and entrance into the kingdom!

we receive the Holy Spirit and let it guide us in our steps. as paul put it:

Galatians 2:20(NKJV)
20I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

we can't keep the commandments of God, but Jesus can and will do it through us if we submit our will to Him.

we must have faith, (and that faith is not even yours, even it has to be given to you! see ephesians 2:8, romans 12:3), that He is able to do this and then we can be counted among these:

Revelation 14:12(NKJV)
12Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

the works one does only pertains to how great or less your reward will be when the Christ returns.

obeying means you live your life as God does.

you will not lie to people, that's what God does.

you will love people as Jesus showed love when He was on earth.

it is simply a way of life!

here's how God explained it to king solomon:

1 Kings 3:14(NKJV)
14So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

He simply wants us to walk in His ways, that's what keeping the commandments is all about!

No works, obedience, good deeds, acts of love or kindness will ever "earn" salvation. It absolutely cannot and does not work that way.

However, a person who dedicates his life to following Christ, to loving God and others (by love I mean acts toward others, not just a warm fuzzy feeling), and this is his way of living, such a one becomes more like Christ by the grace of God, his faith is alive and active, and increases, etc.

Following God, doing as Christ commands, becoming like Christ, loving God and man, do not purchase or earn salvation. But they are what a man who is being saved does. They are the actions of a Christian life. They change us, form us. We don't buy anything from God, but He desires that by grace, we become like Christ, and it is through living such a life in cooperation with the Spirit and grace of God that we are changed, and this is part of our salvation.

Anyone who hates God and others, who is prideful, selfish, who loves a lie more than truth, who remains in his sinful state, is not going to be able to stand in the Presence of a Holy God and experience Him as love, joy, and peace, but will rather have darkness. And God will give us what our hearts desire - Himself, or darkness.

If someone picks up sticks they may be killed.

If someone gives a glass of cool refreshing water to someone in Jesus Name,
they both may be rewarded.

If someone tells a lie, they may be killed instantly.

If someone hides YHWH'S messenger in their closet, from the police,
their life may be spared, and their family.

How about it if, God “rewards you” as a percent of what you could have done with the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, because if that is the case and the Spirit’s powers are only limited by what I allow Him to do through me there will be no “reward”?

We like to think: “I said a good word, I went to church, I did not cheat on my spouse, etc.” as if it is something “worthy”, while Paul allow the Spirit in him to turn the world upside down, so what kept you from doing as much or more?

I personally have been given (rewarded) with everything I can in this world and everything in Heaven when I get there so I do not “work” to get anything (since there is no more to get) but operate solely out of gratitude.

Since you do not believe in a “work for salvation”, why would you ever believe in a work for some “reward” system, would you divide you inheritance you leave your kids by how much they did for you when none of them did anything significant especially compared to how much they could have done with your help?

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophets reward, and anyone who receives a righteousness man because he is a righteousness man will receive a righteous man's reward.
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward

I will not loss anything, but I could.
What "rewards" do the righteous and prophet get that I am not promised?

Maybe you will be put in charge of five cities rather than ten!
Luke19:11-19.

However, you are arguing against the words of Christ. So if you don't believe him, naturally you will not believe me either

Just where is, "The Kingdom of Heaven" Jesus spoke of?
You won't see it online, nor up somewhere afar off, nor as if some day in the future coming , nor in groups of humans issuing commands or requests originating outside of heaven, nor in fairy tales, nor in tales of history apart from YHWH'S people,
nor on tv, nor ... ... ... ... where people look for it ......
(knowing where it is not, is written, as is where it is is written ..... ) i.e. read what Jesus said, always seeking understanding from YHWH (GOD), not from men.
