A BIG hello to everyone nice to meet you all and I hope Jesus is blessing you today. I am new to this website. My goal to to make lots of Christian friends and hope you can be a friend of mine. For me anyways I am an Aussie (Australian) I love God's Word and am so thankful to my Lord Jesus for going out of His way to save a sinner like me. I hope God can use me to help those that do not know Him

Hello, I currently do not attend a SDA church, but have followed SDA teachings, mostly through 3ABN. Have also done quite a bit of personal study over the last 3 or so years. I find SDA teachings to be the most biblically correct. Anyway, I do have some questions from time to time and would like to join this group to help me search and find answers from time to time ... and also to fellowship with like minds. ;o)

God Bless.

I'm not a 7th Day Adventist but i made the mistake of asking a question on eschatology on a main forum area. I do believe 7th Day Adventists are within the Pail of Orthodoxy. I don't mean to stir up another argument. I would just like to thank those who responded to my previous topic for giving plenty of information to last me quite a while. In the future i'll ask eschatology questions directly to 7th Day Adventists or perhaps some other denomination or perhaps i can be redirected to a blog or article. I'm just simply trying to figure out what the book of Revelation means. I hope i did not offend anyone here with my ignorance.

I'm thinking of converting to the SDA Church. I was a SDA many years ago, but I was also a very young Christian. I wanted to know a lot about Jesus and the Bible, so I went to both a SDA church and a Sunday church, so I could learn all I could. I was hungry for knowledge!

Eventually the Sunday non-Denominational church started to tell me lies about my SDA church. They said it was a church of works and NOT about the Salvation that Jesus offers! I believed them, because one of them said she had been brought up in a SDA church and she was living proof of the "truth" she was imparting to me.

Now, many years later, I moved to a different city and joined the Methodist church here. I want to return to my original faith (the SDA Church), but I am deeply involved in the Methodist church, holding an office there and being in a small group there. The Methodist church has been nothing but kind and good to me, welcoming me, loving me, teaching me, etc.

I don't know how to go about converting back to my original faith. Have any of you gone through converting to an SDA church? How does the other church react?? How do you deal with that???

They should respect your choice and treat you with kindness. You want to change then do so ... you won't know how they will react until you do so ... but how they "might" react shouldn't be a stumbling block for you.

God Bless.

Hello SDA people,
I am just a passer by, sort of. One of my best friends is an SDA, and we are having some interesting conversations on Bible topics. My purpose for being here is to understand to what degree the ideas that my friend presents to me are SDA core theology.
Thank you

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I was born and raised in the SDA church and left it after I graduated from high school. I got deeply into drugs and drug addiction for years. When I started going back to church I was never hit with rejection or condemnation. I can't say that experience is everyone's who leaves and comes back, but the people who experience the negatives are a small minority of those of us who have left and gone back. And, I would consider the source if anyone would give you grief for you will find those kinds of people in every denomination. If they cannot welcome you back then they do not know Jesus and as a result do not have His love abiding in their hearts. Church membership has never been a guarantee of anyone being a Christian.

Firstly, I am not an Adventist, but have been interested in many of the aspects of your community for many decades. My wife and I celebrate Shabbat, but are outside of church and have been for about 12 years.
I would like to enjoy discussion and perhaps learn.

One of the things the Lord taught me years ago, is that some parts of the body of Christ possess truths that the larger body shuns, in knee jerk fashion. Ever since that lesson, I have made it my business to listen to the Lord's leading on where he wants me to pay attention.

God bless you Francis and welcome here. It is so nice to see other Christians seeking to follow God through his Word. I believe however according to the prophetic scriptures that the Christian Church's of the world have become Babylon and fallen away from the pure Word of God in order to follow man made teachings and tradtitions that break the commandments of God. I believe God has his people in every Church living up to all the knowledge he has revealed to them but the hour is coming and now is that God is calling his people out from these Church's to whorship him in Spirit and in truth. God is a Spirit and those who worship him must whorship him in Spirit and in truth. God is calling his people where ever they may be back to the pure Word of God. God's sheep hear his Voice (the Word) and follow him.

Some more info here if your interested www.beastsmark.com

The above is not official it is only my collection of scriptures, historical references and notes that may be of interest which I need to get back to and update.

God bless and nice to meet you brother Francis :)

Thank you for the encouraging welcome.

Babylon is definitely the right word for the establishment churches. That's why around 12 years ago, my wife and I responding to God's call to, "Come out of Babylon". We are still out, isolated, but having occasional fellowship with other similar believers. There's no way I could return to that system of bondage.
I believe God has his people in every Church living up to all the knowledge he has revealed to them but the hour is coming and now is that God is calling his people out from these Church's to whorship him in Spirit and in truth. God's sheep hear his Voice (the Word) and follow him.
Unfortunately, God's people are so used to being told what to believe and what to do, that they have lost the ability to heed God himself, whether that's through the scriptures or His Spirit working on their hearts.

Hi!
Not an Adventist, but I celebrate Shabbat on the 7th day.
I followed tradition on Sunday for a long time, but after studying the scriptures with Doug Batchelor,
decided the 7th day made more sense.
I believe the scripture should have the final say in all matters.
I also believe in avoiding false prophets like that are in the Word-of-Faith movement.
