Go back to oldest pages of the WoF forum. Around 2004 (was it that long ago?).
Lots of old friends. Some have not been on CF for years.

Call them in again some of them have their settings set so they receive emails if called into a thread

Why is it so hard?

Either one agrees with the SOP or they do not.

If they do not then they are not WOF and are not a member.

Therefore they should not discuss, debate, teach.

Many think they are WOF but are in fact their own self made version of WOF.

Yes that is common with many Congregations. I remember when we made WOF a separate forum (from Spirit Filled) to help both groups.

As a non-wof, but one who is curious about it since coming to really enjoy Joel Osteen, may I humbly ask a question, in fellowship?

I was wondering if it could be or would be encouraging and/or helpful to this sub-forum to post Joel Osteen's short but really inspiring sermons or videos and then have discussion about the topic?

(I started watching him when I couldn't walk about, on the television, as well as enjoying reading his tweets).

His Dad John ,kept fellowship with Word of Faith Preachers.
I do not object to this, if you want to post.
It may provide a view for you of what we teach as well.

As one of the remaining FEW active members of this forum... I agree with now faith in his post and personally (thank him) for remaining faithful to this forum. If there is only ONE left here, God is still pleased... for he honors faith.

I held off on any commenting to (watch and wait) on this thread since it was started (49) days ago, as to where are we heading, and more so... Who will be leading us?... Will it be a "Lone Ranger" type of effort, (I pray not) or... joint members coming together (time will tell) as was done in (2011), or in (2014)... when Sojourner1 (CF Advisory Team/Policy Manager) reviewed the current SOF and SOP *(House Rules) for the Word of Faith forum wanted to know if there is any information in the SOF that we don't think aligns with the beliefs of WOF members. The following MEMBERS have responded....

1. Scottmcc1: Yes 100%.

2. Truthfrees: It 100% aligns. The only way to improve the WOF SOF would be to add more scripture links to confirm the statements.

3. ABM (Bob): The SOF is awesome as it is. 100%. Don't change it.

4. Optimax: SOF is good, leave as is.

5. hhodgson: Agree... leave as is. It has been said by the majority that the entire (100%) of our SOF is where we want it, which (includes #1 through to the House Rules)... Please do not add or take anything away. Representative's of the WOF membership will notify you if any changes are necessary...

6. Sojourner1: I appreciate all the input in this thread. If the SOF is acceptable to the majority of members of this forum then no changes will need to be made.

*House Rules- All posts within this faith community must adhere to the site wide rules found here (Community Rules). In addition, if you are not a member of this faith group, you may not debate issues or teach against it's theology. You may post in fellowship. Active promotion of views contrary to the established teachings of this group will be considered off topic.

I have been everywhere in the forums,some good some bad.
As well I have started studying Kenyon and Wigglesworth on their teaching.
We have a Christian forum here it's called nondenominational, and many good people are in it.
It's my hearts desire to have a word of Faith Fourm though,where we can post some of the founders teaching and discuss it.
I will start a thread on a topic I found yesterday and see if any WOF. respond.

May I post in this sub-forum? I would like to talk about Pastor Joel Osteens messages. Can I post what he wrote in his daily messages? they are about 2 -3 paragraphs long and then a short prayer.

I think most in WOF are split on Joel ,but you can post here the only rule is not to debate our beliefs,for what I see in your post they are for building up not tearing down.

Hi Dids... I went back to 2002 to 2007 (WOF) and found, reviewed, and saved (80) threads to continue reviewing later (when there's time). You were very ACTIVE especially in (2005) working with others to separate WOF from non-wof forum and continued on to help enhance and maintain what WOF believes and how we got here today. I definitely thank you for your input and your solid dedication to this forum over the many years since (2002), and maybe even earlier.

In (August 1, 2011), there were major changes (found 7 threads so far) mostly by pdudgeon (mod), HolySpiritWOF, AblessedMan and many others such as, (Optimax, Jedi-Kep, CindyisHis, Pastor Mike, dkbwarrior, probinson, and now faith). I do apologize if I missed anyone in this endeavor.

that came up with an excellent SOP that was good enough and accepted by the MEMBERSHIP then. Staff Member and Site Advisor (Davidnic) joined later in (August 22) for his approval on the SOP that was given to him by these members.

The SOP was again changed in January 30, 2016 to the point that not only (outsiders) could not say anything against our WOF teachers and their teachings (which is good) but, also the MEMBERS themselves cannot say anything either... even though "they" (WOF teachers) THEMSELVES could not fully agree with each other from the WOF Founders on to today. An example would be that if I (and others) don't agree with one of our main founders view on, lets say "Jesus burned and suffered in hell?" If we (even our SENIOR members) were to disagree or even (agree to disagree)... with that view and make note of it on the forum, their posts would be removed. (IMO), It wasn't just the non-WOF forum invaders that have caused strife and the disruption of this (World Wide) ministry to the point there are only a few of the faithful remain.

As a former (mod) yourself, your input is very important to this forum and with your experience, I have a couple questions that has been on my heart. I don't want to put you on the spot and you don't have to answer, but I keep wondering.... Why was it necessary in (2016) to try and fix something that wasn't broken? And who decides it's broken? It wasn't the membership. These (seasoned) members that came up with the forum SOP in (2011), prior to the unnecessary change in (2016), spent possibly hundreds of hours together creating the SOP and met the approval of our staff member and site advisor during that time.

Here is just an example of the many posts that were written by just (three) of the beginning members in August of 2011....

(HolySpiritWOF) 136 Posts
(ABlessedMan) 75 Posts

If we were to add the posts of the other seasoned members, and from a FEW (outsiders)... The total posts were about 500 give or take.

Again Dids, thank you for your valuable input to this forum and prayfully, we can rebuild (what Satan has stolen) from us and take it back... and continue to minister and share the WORD OF GOD... to once again RESTORE this World Wide Ministry.

Hi Optimax... It depends on which SOP do we agree with. Do we agree with the original SOP that all you guys (seasoned members) put together that was approved by this forum's Staff Member/Site Advisor back then, or do we agree with the SOP version "given to us" stickied on top of our open forum that was added in (January 30, 2016?) What members were involved in that one?

Your post... u2spicy is very interesting. Your profile shows that you have 2,558 posts on CF but must be in other areas if I'm reading it correctly? You have chosen not to open up your full profile, which is fine.

Just curious as to why would you come up here to fellowship with us? I highlighted the part where you say you are... WOF inspired. Has God sent you here to help us rebuild? If so...

I dunno. We have all jostled with each other off and on down through the years. Nothing like the wars that took place in the SFPC forum in the before time, long long ago. Then there was the now defunct "charismatic non-wof formum" which was very strange in that it seemed to be the only forum at CF that was specifically dedicated to attacking another Christian belief system. I used to call it "a safe place to attack and to put down WoFers..."
I think we should be able to arm wrestle each other if we like. IMHO WoF, though being some 50 years old, (I joined it when it was still referred to "the faith movement") still does not have a real theological "SOF" that can agreed upon and have that agreement raise to a level of even a consensus.
I can live with what we have.

BTW I do not participate as much because I have been writing books not for 4 or 5 years and after writing several hours a day it is very hard to come and give to the degree I would like. Certainly not to the level I did back in 2007 and 2008. Seems like such a long time ago now.

Hi friend!

I'm a pretty new christian, and have often been homebound due to arthritis, so I found myself looking at televised sermons instead of getting out of the house.

I discovered Joel Osteens services and was really uplifted.

I don't really know a whole lot about wof, so taking it slow here and want to be respectful of the SOP.

My point about discussing his messages is that they are so encouraging, inspiring and healing, that they might help to either revive or keep alive, this sub forum...idk....

Its best not to start anything up I feel, without staff permission, since I'm not claiming wof.

I came here bc I was feeling curious about other sub forums and I heard that Joel is wof.

So, I meandered over.

Honesty I regret some of my posts and some were to you.
At one point it seemed like all you know what broke loose,frankly speaking for myself I went overboard.
