Does the New Covenant mean it's safe to eat Bacon?

In new covenant law is not a condition for salvation, or for eternal life, righteousness is.


These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Mat. 25:46

I believe all God’s commandments are given because there is some god reason for that. But I don’t think eating bacon is something that can’t be forgiven.

here is your truth... what they belive vs what the bible says...
Acts 10:11-5 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat." "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."

Mark 7:18-19 "Don't you understand either?" he asked. "Can't you see that the food you put into your body cannot defile you? Food doesn't go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer." (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God's eyes.)

There is the issue of whether there is a weaker brother present. If there is the possibility of violating the conscience of someone whose conscience does not allow them to eat meat sacrificed to idols or else meat that is unclean to them; and if my eating of that food would embolden them to do what goes against their conscience so that they would feel condemned for their emulation of me whom they see to be a strong Christian and yet who does what violates their conscience, so that they do not see it as wrong while deep down believing that it is wrong for them to eat, then I have sinned against my weaker brother and have sinned against Christ in that I have emboldened my weaker brother to do what he would feel condemned to do.

I would advise nitrite free bacon, organic is even better to avoid the detrimental health effects.
