If you received an outpouring of the holy spirit you would know it. There wouldn't be any doubt. It's that life changing. My experiences with the holy spirit have all been tied to either the rosary or Catholic sacraments. A few of the times when I experienced the holy spirit it was during times I was greatly suffering, but holding strong in my faith. He came at times when I needed him the most. In my experience it was a matter of having faith especially during trials in my life.

The only way to be in God's presence down here is to live. Your heart, if you accept Him, is His home, and He will never go out until you decide it to be so. Why are you looking for something you got already?

Yes, you are ALWAYS in God's presence. It's just that you don't recognize it because God communicates in so many different ways.

It's like a man wandering the desert and smiling because he found water. Or a baby looking at a rose for the first time and thinking it is so magnificent. People grow bored of mundane things that they don't feel are important. A lot of these things are messages from God. Creation is God's gift to us! Why does he need stars, or animals, or beaches, or anything like that. He doesn't and he certainly has it in heaven if he truly wanted it. It's all an expression or communication of his love to us. His presence.

God communicates with us in books, shows, movies, people, experiences, music....YOUR lyrics you have posted!
♩ ♪ Dry your eyes, please don't cry

Dry your eyes, please don't cry
You can be strong if you just hold on .....
You don't have to cry alone
Ooh...I'll be right by your side to help you be strong♩ ♪
Do you understand the message he is saying in it?

Everything around us is made of matter....energy. We are made of energy. He is the source of energy and we are all connected. Even the air you breath is matter. God giving you life. That's just the physical....

God is with you during your dreams and gives you dreams. He assigns angels for you and listens to you when you call out. He gives visions in the day or night. He gives understanding...He talks to you all the time. His word even says he is always thinking about us. Therefore he is always with us and communicating with us.

So the question really is....when is God not present with us?

As one who has recieved the Holy spirit, I believe we're always in God's presence. But there are instances where one feels the prescence so strong.
For instance, there was this particular day in church during the worship session. I felt God's presence so strong that tears began to roll down my cheeks, it had never happened!. I knew there and then that there was a supernatural encounter.
Entering fully into God's presence is quite different for individuals, for me it's through intense worship. You have to find out which works for you.

People often mistake God's presence for a feeling or sense of presence. Nothing is further from the truth.

“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The same can be true for mercy, forgiveness, holiness, or any other attribute of God.

IOW when you live in an attribute of God then you are living in His presence, and he is living in you.

It is true that everyone, everywhere is in God's presence in that he is everywhere and fills all things. But if you want God's presence as in his manifest presence then living like Christ is the only way.

“Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him."”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:21‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Prayer is also a very key element to this. If you do not pray, and pray constantly, seeking Him then you will not get there.

Psalms 105:4
“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
‭‭
Jeremiah 29:13
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

The discipline of solitude and silence is one way to feel the presence of God.

I am reading a great book called "Invitation to Solitude and Silence: Experiencing God's Transforming Presence" by Ruth Haley Barton. I highly recommend reading this book!

Matthew 16:24
"And from the days of John the Baptist until now
the Kingdom of Heaven is suffering violence,
and the violent are taking it by force."

How do you understand this passage?
eg
What does 'now' mean?
What is 'the Kingdom of Heaven'?
How is it 'suffering violence'
Who are the 'violent'
How are they 'taking it by force'?

And how does this passage relate to Mathew 18:19 ?
"If anyone is willing
after Me to be coming
let him first deny himself
and take up his cross
and follow Me."

In Orthodoxy, we ask: "How can fallen man approach the unapproachable God?"

Concerning His manifest presence:

Think the pivotal point is when we get our minds off ourselves and deliberately focus on Yahweh. Praise seems to be more about Him compared to worship that's to Yahweh, adoring Him. It's when we give Him the glory due His name (Psa 96:8).

Also, we can set aside some solitude block of time to -
- deliberately focus on Yahweh
- meditate (just means focus) on Scripture - can listen to audio Bibles at BibleGateway.com- Audio Bibles such as Psa 145

- play some music with lyrics - not about us but about Him),
- think about some of His titles, names, and attributes
- sing a song to an audience of One
- glorify His Name, tell Him about who He is.
(Matt 6:6; Psa 46:10; Psa 33:3; 69:30; 71:23; 95:2; 100:4; 145+++)

How do we know when we've been in His presence? For one thing, we'll have joy (Psa 16:11).

The Bible ask of us to seek God with all of our heart. Do we truly do this? Possibly occasionally? It seems that many, many times throughout the day we need to re-center our thinking and hearts.

Always remembering that we are in a battle with the world and our flesh and the devil. Staying in God's word is of most importance.

Romans 8 and 9 explains what it is to be born again. The work of the Holy Spirit -- period.
