Hi, I'm curious as to what the Christian position is when it comes to Jewish Law.

I know most Christians don't want to follow it, but if you did follow it, would it be a sin?

If you did seek to follow it apart from Christ , it would become sin -and death- for you because well, by our own power it is impossible to keep Torah. To fulfill what Torah requires you must keep all 613 -fail to keep just one of the mitzvot and one has become guilty of breaking the whole Torah.

There is a pious tradition of the Rabbis that if all of Israel could perfectly keep the whole Torah for one day (another traditurn says if all Israel could keep one perfect Shabbat (Sabbath) then Messiah (not Jesus evidently) would come immediately to restore all things. Which shows how impossible it is I think.

Normal reaction to get offended when people make false claims about you. If you didn't get offended, it would mean you didn't care.
OR that you had been taking the words of Our Lord seriously:

Matt 5.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

It's sin for you if you are trying to earn your righteousness/salvation by following the law.
Agreed. It is fine to follow the Torah, and it may be healthier and is certainly more disciplined. But if you think God loves you even a teeny tiny bit more than the person who shops all day on Saturday, goes to church and has a ham sandwich afterward and still goes shopping on Sunday too, you are wrong.
