Scriptures to show Mashiyach's not the passover feast lamb

Why was a second lamb added to the Passover lamb of the Passover supper, but not made part of the first Passover meal?
The second lamb was added later to take away the sins of the people so they could eat the Passover supper which consisted of the memorial lamb (II Chronicles 35:3, 15, 17). The second lamb was not eaten. It was used as a sacrifice for a sin offering.

II Chronicles 35:3, 15, 17
3 And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the Lord, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the Lord your God, and his people Israel,
15 And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
17 And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

The second lamb that was used to take away sins, was called a Passover too. This was the lamb that Mashiyach (Christ) replaced (I Corinthians 5:7) when He died on Calvary, not the Passover lamb used during the feast (Luke 22:7-8).

I Corinthians 5:7-8
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Luke 22:7-8
7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

5. Explain the difference and purpose of the lambs in II Chronicles 30:15-21?
The first lamb was used to take away sins so one could eat the Passover lamb, which is the second lamb. The second lamb served as a memorial and celebration of the Passover feast.

However, Mashiyach died to take away our sins (John 1:29, 36) in order that we may be qualified to eat the Passover lamb during Passover (I Corinthians 5:7). This is how we know that Mashiyach is our Passover for sin not the Passover feast.

II Chronicles 30:15-21
15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord.
18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord pardon every one
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.

I Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

John 1:29, 36
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

If Mashiyach (Christ) is our passover, why must we keep the feast?
Contrary to popular belief, Yasha` (Christ) did not take the place of the passover lamb; he took the place of the sin sacrifice. It has been stated previously that the word “passover” has many usages; most biblical students are unaware of this fact, for this reason, they assume that Yasha` took the place of the passover lamb.

Exodus 12:12, 13, 23, 27 clearly shows that Yasha` (who is the human form of ‘EL (God), Philippians 2:6-10; Acts 2:36; Isaiah 9:6) was our passover in Exodus. Even though he was the passover then, they continued to keep the feast. Yasha` is not a day; therefore, He cannot take the place of the feast day.

Exodus 12:12-13, 23, 27
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Philippians 2:6-10
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

When people quote I Corinthians 5:7, they are saying that “Yasha` (Jesus) is our passover, we are exempt from observing the feast.” This may be convenient for them to think they can avoid keeping the Passover holy according to Yahh’s (Lord’s) way. Nonetheless, Yasha` was their passover in the Old Testament and they kept the feast. In the New Testament after Mashiyach’s (Christ’s) death, Yisra’el continued to keep the Passover feast. Therefore, in today’s time, we must keep the feast as well.

I Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Exodus 12:14, 17, 24 tells us that the passover feast is to be observed for ever; no matter how many definitions there are for the word passover, they cannot be substituted for one another. Furthermore, the very Scripture which biblical students use to abolish the feast, it actually encourages us to keep the feast (I Corinthians 5:1-8).

Exodus 12:14, 17, 24
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

I Corinthians 5:1-8
1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

What type of lamb is used as a sin sacrifice?
The blood of a female lamb without blemish was used for sin sacrifice (Leviticus 4:32-33; Leviticus 5:6) in order for one to eat the Passover lamb (II Chronicles 30:15-17). Mashiyach (Christ) replaced the sacrificing of lambs for sin when He shed His blood for the remission of sin for His people (Matthew 26:28; I Corinthians 5:7; 1 Peter 1:19), Yisra’el (Matthew 15:24).

Leviticus 4:32-33
32 And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish.
33 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.

Leviticus 5:6
6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the Lord for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

Matthew 26:28
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

I Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

I Peter 1:19
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Matthew 15:24
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

In I Corinthians 5:7, Yasha` Mashiyach (Jesus Christ) is our Passover. What does “Passover” mean here?
The Passover in I Corinthians 5:7 means remission of sin. Lambs were sacrificed in the Old Testament and their blood were used to cleanse the saints of their sins in order for the saints to eat the Passover meal correctly (II Chronicles 30:15-17).

I Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

II Chronicles 30:15-17
15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord.

When Mashiyach died, He was sacrificed like a lamb (Isaiah 53:7, John 1:29). His blood was used to take away sin (Matthew 26:28; Romans 11:27). In I Corinthians, Yasha` replaced the Passover lamb that was used to cleanse sin. Yasha` Mashiyach did not replace the memorial Passover lamb (feast).

Isaiah 53:7
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

John 1:29
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Matthew 26:28
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Romans 11:27
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Why is the lamb that is used in the Passover feast do not represent Mashiyach (Christ) as the Passover?
The Passover lamb for the Passover service (feast) had nothing to do with a sin offering. It was only a token or sign for the death angel, called “the destroyer,” to pass through Egypt (Exodus 12:23).

Exodus 12:23
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

As time went on, a lamb used to take away sin became necessary in order to eat the Passover, which was a different lamb (female) than the Passover service lamb (feast) which was a male (II Chronicles 35:6). Mashiyach is the lamb that takes away sin. This was another kind of passover (I Corinthians 5:7)!

II Chronicles 35:6
6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

I Corinthians 5:7
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

The lamb is a necessary token for remembrance of the Passover, as proven by the facts in the New Testament, when Mashiyach (Christ) ordered that a lamb be killed in Mark 14:12-15; Luke 22:7-12. To eliminate the lamb during Passover, is like removing the Christmas tree at Christmas: it is a necessary commandment symbol which is a token.

Mark 14:12-15
12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

Luke 22:7-12
7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

The first Passover was not a memorial, but all other Passover feasts became a memorial after the first feast. How does one keep it as a memorial forever as proven by Exodus 12:14-20, 24-28; Exodus 13:4-10; Matthew 26:17-19; I Corinthians 5:6, 8?
The Passover is kept as a memorial by going through certain activities as commanded by the Yehowah (Lord) to His people, Yisra’el, to perform.

Exodus 12:14-20, 24-28
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Exodus 13:4-10
4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.
5 And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.
6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord.
7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.
8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.
10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Matthew 26:17-19
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

I Corinthians 5:6, 8
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Why is the celebration of Passover not widely understood?
Understanding the celebration of the Passover as it is commanded in the Bible, is a secret (Deuteronomy 29:29) because the leaders have not researched the scriptures nor the history (Matthew 15:14; Matthew 22:29; John 20:9). Scriptures on the Passover are left out of the religious community, therefore, ’el’s (God’s) people are in error (Hosea 4:6; Mark 12:24).

Deuteronomy 29:29
29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Matthew 15:14
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matthew 22:29
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

John 20:9
9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

Hosea 4:6
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Mark 12:24
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

REMEMBER to be cautious my Brethren in how we apply the scriptures...

you must use a supporting scripture to bring out the complete background about the "Pesach Supper"...Right- Yes...

because leaving out everything that happened during the event can lead you to draw your own conclusions which lead to assumptions...

And assumptions are the mother of all errors...

Follow carefully how I show you in the scriptures that Mashiyach and the disciples ate both the memorial Pesach male lamb and the body of Mashiyach which the female lamb represented for sin sacrafice...

Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

Take notice- when the word 'passover' is being
used here to eat, it's speaking of the memorial lamb and not the Passover day or
relating to any other foods because it did not say meal and you also cannot eat a day...

Key phrases are:

"With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you"

"I will not any more eat thereof, until"

He said I will not eat anymore of this passover(memorial lamb)again until another time...

I will not eat the passover again until it be fulfilled(carried out) in the kingdom...

He did not desire to eat Himself...

Matthew 26
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Key phrases:

"the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?"

"and they made ready the passover."

"Where wilt we prepare the passover for thee"...here the disciples asked- where do you want to eat the passover lamb Mashiyach and He told them to go prepare the lamb...

the disciples prepared and made the passover lamb ready to eat

the disciples did not make Mashiyach ready because He gave them orders to make the passover lamb ready, neither could they make the Passover day ready because day is always ready...

Matthew 26
8 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Key phrases here:

Luke 22
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

Matthew 26
20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
21 And as they did eat,

Mashiyach sat down and ate the passover lamb with His disciples...

Mashiyach kept the Passover all His life and
He never had a ceremonial for His death until the end of His life that is why we cannot assume a breaking of the bread and shedding blood in the cup was done before this time until His death was near...

Mashiyach just chose this day for us to remember His death because it was His last day
before He would die that same night...

Luke 2
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

In Matthew 26:21,26, Mashiyach and the disciples ate the memorial lamb first and then
Mashiyach took bread and divided it for the disciples to eat as His body after the memorial lamb was eaten first...

Matthew 26
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Mashiyach's body was not eaten to memorialize
the passover lamb but done to remeber His death...

1 Corinthians 11
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

the blood in the cup was given to fulfill the new covenant(testament) in Jeremiah 31:31

Matthew 5
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Isn't it wonderful how Yah blesses us when we are obedient to His Will...Yes...

Yah is worthy to be praised...let's continue to lift up the Most High...

His Word is the key to our salvation...
