Was the Blood of Christ shed on the Cross Enough to Save US?

Going Back to the Old Testament Passover, what did the Jews do to save themselves? Well they had to kill a lamb AND EAT IT and post it's blood on the door post so that the hand of God will passover them.

We all know that the Lamb and Its blood is a prefigure/typology of Jesus Christ/Lamb dying for us on the Cross shedding His Blood. That being truth! What must we do to save ourselves???

We too must do what the Jews in the Old Testament Passover we to Must Eat the Lamb Who is now Jesus Christ and Drink His Blood, putting It on the door post of our Mouths which is the Eucharist the Body and Blood Soul and Divinity of Christ.

To the one who reads this: What would of happen to the Jews if did not kill and Eat the lamb nor did they post it's blood on their door post, during the Passover??? (FYI It would of not been enough to save them)

John 6:52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 54He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him.

John 6:52 - 56, are not my words but Jesus Christ. You must Eat and Drink the Blood the Lamb/Jesus to be saved.

Yes, the blood of Christ shed on the cross is enough to save us, only if you partake/eat/drink of Its Body and Blood who is Jesus Christ. Amen Amen

I was actually looking at this the other day. The other thing I looked at was how in Exodus 12 God tells Moses only those who are in covenant relationship with him maybe eat of the Passover.

In OT we know it was circumcision that was the sign of the covenant. In the NT we see it is baptism Colossians 2:11-12

And more importantly, circumcision of the heart. Not accomplished by any manmade nor man-taught method, nor by nor in line with any unScriptural tradition.

The eating and drinking is that whatever you eat and drink becomes a part of you, so eating and drinking Christ, He then is alive in you, Him in you, and you in Him.
This is not literally cannibalism, it is symbolism. He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
Scripture is also very clear about how we are saved.
Did Paul make a mistake?

1 Corinthians 12:12-14New King James Version (NKJV)
Unity and Diversity in One Body
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

Romans 10
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

or better yet, as written:
John 6:33-70King James Version (KJV)

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
-----------
... ... ...
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 I am that bread of life.

49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
------------

and most important of all , and missed by billions on earth:

John 6:63-66 King James Version (KJV)

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:

...............the words that I speak unto you,

...........................they are spirit,
...........................and they are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

((they did not accept HIS WORDS ARE SPIRIT - they did not learn, and rather walked away from JESUS.......

HE LET THEM GO...... ))

Jesus was using the ‘eating and drinking’ analogy to convey the need for us to assimilate Him, “by faith”, into ourselves just as we do food and drink. So, yes, we are saved by our faith, but I don’t believe John is tacking the comparison itself (as in the form of the Lord’s Supper) on as a requirement to be saved, if that’s what you mean. However, John does give us another requirement if we want to continue to abide in Christ, which is to keep His commandments (John 15:10).

It was the blood on the doorposts that caused the angel of death to pass over the Israelites' houses; not whether or not they had eaten the lamb that was killed. If they'd killed the lamb and thrown the body away; they still would have been saved by the blood.

NT teaching is that we, too, are saved by the blood of the Lamb.

Amein.
Atonement by the BLOOD of JESUS
is the difference between being righteous and being saved
VS being religious only without a complete change in life.

John 1 "The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us"
John 6 "I AM the bread that came down out of heaven"
John 6 "eating literal flesh is worthless it is My WORDS that have spirit and life"
John 6 to Peter "will you also leave... WHERE shall we go? you have the WORDS of life"
Deut 8 "3 He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.

Matt 16 8 But Jesus, aware of this, said, “You men of little faith, why do you discuss among yourselves that you have no bread? 9 Do you not yet understand or remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets full you picked up? 10 Or the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many large baskets full you picked up? 11 How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12 Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

No matter how convoluted this topic becomes in other posts - it will always come back to this simple outline.

Was the Blood of Christ shed on the Cross Enough to Save US?

None of the Old Testament's sacrifices were restored to life, and in point of fact, quite a few of them were incinerated. Pieces and parts of some were even set aside to be eaten as sustenance for the Levitical priests and their families.

So, if the OT's sacrifices could obtain the mercy of God without bringing them back to life; then why resurrect Jesus?

The problem with previous stay-dead modes of sacrifice is that they couldn't expunge the people's personnel files; and those files are on track to be reviewed at the great white throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15 where people will be thoroughly vetted for citizenship in the new cosmos depicted in the 21st chapter of Revelation.

If the records show that certain people are essentially undesirable --i.e. capable of terrible things, especially dishonesty --then they will be denied immigration to the new heavens, the new earth, and the holy city.

Christ's crucified body was restored to life in order to make it possible for God to expunge people's records.

Rom 4:25 . . He was raised for our justification.

The koiné Greek word for "justification" is dikaioo (dik-ah-yo'-o) which essentially means to regard as innocent.

In other words; Christ's crucifixion was sufficient to obtain forgiveness for people's sins; but his crucifixion alone wasn't sufficient to make it possible for people to obtain an acquittal.

An acquittal can be defined as exoneration; viz: an adjudication of innocence, which is normally granted when there is insufficient evidence to convict. In other words: by means of Christ's resurrection, God is able to cook the books so that it appears people never did anything bad. On the surface; this looks very unethical, but from God's perspective it's all on the up and up.

Q: Don't Catholics obtain exoneration when they go to confession?

A: The scope of the Roman church's reconciliatory process is somewhat limited. It's primarily designed for absolution (1John 1:9) i.e. while it obtains forgiveness for the sinner, and cleanses what is sometimes called the stain of sin, the Roman church's reconciliatory process does nothing to expunge the sinner's record; i.e. it remains hanging over their heads like a sword of Damocles to be used against them later when they're vetted for the new cosmos predicted in the 21st chapter of Revelation.

If it can be shown from their records that people are basically undesirable, then they will be transferred to the lake of brimstone for summary execution by a mode of death akin to a foundry worker falling into a vat of molten iron. The lake can be thought of as a sanitary landfill where people unfit for heaven will be kept in quarantine.

Isa 66:22-24 . . From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me: says the Lord. And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.

Justification, on the other hand, as per the koiné Greek word dikaioo, completely deletes the offender's criminal history; i.e. dikaioo wipes their records so clean and efficiently that there is nothing left that can in any way be used to prove that the sinner has ever been anything less than 100% innocent; which means there will never be grounds to subpoena them to stand trial at the great white throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15.

This expunging is not made possible by Christ's blood, but specifically by his resurrection.

Now, the advantage of the kind of justification I'm talking about is that sinners need obtain it only once because from thence, God stops building their indictment.

2Cor 5:19 . .God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting their trespasses against them

The koiné Greek word translated "counting" is logizomai (log-id'-zom-ahee) which means to take an inventory.

Rom 4:8 . . Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record.

Catholics expect to spend some time in a purgatory for so-called "lesser faults". However, with zero faults on the books to answer for, either lesser or greater, then there are no grounds for subjecting people to purgation.
