The word used is chadash pronounced khaw-dawsh'. This word is never used to mean renew or translated as renew.Chadasha (Hebrew) - renew or make right repair
Khawdata (Aramaic) renew make right repair
Anything I could say here will only be thrown out because of your private dictionary. All celebrations are ceremonial. The sabbath is a celebration according to Ex 20.Do you have any scripture indicating which ones are ceremonial items of the law?
No Jesus came to do as the prophets said as in complete which the word fulfill is defined as. As such there needs to be no other fulfillment by us. Jesus established the new covenant not like the old covenant. The new covenant replaces the old covenant lock stock and barrel as in completely. If it dosen't then it's merely a continuance and remodeling of the old as you contend. Jeremiah simply doesn't allow for that idea. You come to that conclusion even with these context clues(bold are the context clues)? Fullfilled means to do the things written of Him in the law and prophets. I think He is pretty convincing that the way you understand it is the way He did NOT want us to understand it.
17 “Do not THINK that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
I believe Israel chose NOT to keep Torah and to give into Idolatry that was the issue. They turned thier back on God and refused to repent. Fun Fact: repent means to turn back to God.What makes Messianics think that they can keep Torah better that Israel could. God became disgusted with the whole lot of them and Hosea revealed His disgust and wrote Hosea 2:11 and surrounding verses. Torah law was to come to an end and it did at the Cross when the new covenant was ratified by the blood of the Lamb. All this is the plan of salvation that was formulated before the foundation of the Earth.
The new covenant is not the old one warmed over. The old one was based on law, the new one is based on love. Love is what is written in the hearts of man and the Holy Spirit is there as our guide. Torah ended as the guide for Israel at Calvary. It never has been the guide for Christians. We have something far superior, the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus.
How did i take the passage out of context? What i read is it's you who wants to change the words and meaning. "Not according to" always means contents, never movement.Someone can't just take a sentence out of the Bible and make it say what they want it to say to fit their thology. They have to use the context, time, place, who it is written to and about. Please read the book of Jerimiah and you will see more clearly or better yet get a chronological Bible and read it all. Just a suggestion, it helped me to better understand prophecy.
Why would I waste my time with Isaiah 56 when you refuse to believe Jeremiah 31? By-the-way both are talking about different things. You desperately need to get away from Jeremiah 31.And? What is your thoughts on it?
I do believe in Jerimiah 31 just not the way you are spinning it by taking one verse out of context and making it have an alternate meaning. Why would I waste my time with Isaiah 56 when you refuse to believe Jeremiah 31? By-the-way both are talking about different things.
Who is saying it's "OKAY"?Why is it continually and wrongfully quoted and applied as if
today,
since CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED<
now today,
as if that changed all things,
now today,
it is okay to murder, to steal, to lust/commit adultery,
to have other(pagan) gods every day ,
to continue (as is the case) committing idolatry every day ???
Now this is all "OKAY" ! ?
Jesus is my sabbath rest. I no longer work to please God. It's more like automatic in the same way a tree produces fruit. I reference Mat 11:28-30 spoken to people keeping the sabbath and not having rest and Gal 5:18-26.Well of course it's a celebration, why would you want to throw it out?
You need to ask some random people you don't know about the meaning of the phrase of contention.I do believe in Jerimiah 31 just not the way you are spinning it by taking one verse out of context and making it have an alternate meaning.
How so are they different? Please explain.
Again fullfill is taken out of context, if you read the context clues He says "do not THINK I have come to distroy the Law and the Prophets" how can you miss that part?No Jesus came to do as the prophets said as in complete which the word fulfill is defined as. As such there needs to be no other fulfillment by us. Jesus established the new covenant not like the old covenant. The new covenant replaces the old covenant lock stock and barrel as in completely. If it dosen't then it's merely a continuance and remodeling oft he old as you contend. Jeremiah simply doesn't allow for that idea.
Nothing in the OT is from Jesus as the Gospel of John indicates even by quote of Jesus.I believe Israel chose NOT to keep Torah and to give into Idolatry that was the issue. They turned thier back on God and refused to repent. Fun Fact: repent means to turn back to God.
That verse in Hosea 2:11 does not fit with what you are trying to make it say based on the context of the passage. I will leave it at that because I do not wish to beat a dead horse any longer .
New Covenant is about His Laws being placed on our hearts. Yes is is about loving God and how do we love Him? We keep His Commandments.
Says the Bible

OK you refuse to accept the meaning of the word fulfill. You refuse to accept the clear meaning of Jeremiah. You don't accept Luke as truth. Just don't try and con me into accepting your idea. I love Jesus and what He did for me.Again fullfill is taken out of context, if you read the context clues He says "do not THINK I have come to distroy the Law and the Prophets" how can you miss that part?
